The frustrating thing is that on my Desktop PC when I Google Play Store version 2.10 is offered.
OK. I've just done battle with my Android phone, Google Play and the Abbott websites and succeeded in installing version 2.10 despite the confusion. First I went to the Abbott website on my PC which says 2.10 is available (well sort of). I clicked the Google Play icon and went to download 2.10 onto my phone. I had to do various things to get the Google website to know about my phone (look at devices on the webpage). With this knowledge I clicked on install and my phone magically updated Librelink.

I can't find 2.10 on my google play store, only the 2.8.4. I have an android phone.

I think you need to look at the Play store on your PC/laptop/tablet and not your phone. For some reason Play Store on the phone thinks that it shouldn't allow 2.10 despite Abbott saying it's available (left & right hand)

Not here! Looking using Chrome on Macbook. Just shows 2.8.4.

No issue for me as I got it last Tuesday (11th) by looking on my phone - before the iOS world blew up!

I still can't get it - I've tried uninstalling and installing etc. But still nothing - I'm on android and my phone is on the list of approved ones - I was under the impression that it's a gradual roll out so I've been fairly patient up until now

Just rang abbott and its still rolling out so we need to just wait a bit longer

Just for reference; I have an iPhone 8 on latest iOS (16.5.1c), updated LibreLink (2.10.0.7647) yesterday after reading here about CGM and have had no problems at all. Not to make you feel bad, but there must be a reason why it doesn't work for some, i.e. hardware or software. Maybe by comparison we could work out what the issue is ?
The problem will start when you scan your new sensor everything stops working, if you have just updated your app( I updated the app last week and it was fine/no change) it will continue as normal untill you new sensor is scanned , as I found out this morning. Took me over 2 hours and alot of swearing to get it working.

I see the Beeb have reported the LibreLink recovery.

They seem to have forgotten to include the usual adjective "painful" when describing the alternative of finger pricking!
Journalists always seem to think finger pricking is "painful" and don't consider how scary this unnecessary (and wrong) description is for the newly diagnosed.

<I've just realised I am ranting when actually the beeb have correctly avoided the word. Must be a tough day for me.>

I scanned my first new sensor since the update landed last week and was surprised how straight forward it was.

Actually quite impressed. As soon as the 1 hour startup finished a BG reading came up. So smoothly I had to watch it for a few minutes to make sure it was changing.

No signal loss yet. No high or low alarms either but remarkably I have been in range since 9am!!!

Visually I was expecting a single green page with a big number in the middle, but to my surprise there was a graph with a small number at the top just like previously.

So far disappointments are:

No 24hr TIR on main screen
Have to unlock to see readings
Alarm length, sound, repeat interval all locked down as before. Abbott knows best of course. All the 3rd part solutions give so much more in this area.

I haven't ruled out going back to Juggluco (functionally infinitely more feature rich) but will give LL a go for a now.

Hi @barrym,

Disable phone ‘auto lock‘ in settings (iPhone) presume android the same.

Leave Libre app open and its always on show,

Can still obviously lock/ turn off screen manually if required.

Minor downside compared to benefits, for me anyway
Hands free rtCgm for driving
Hands free rtCGM while cycling
Hands free rtCGM while working, weight training, gardening, any dirty job where you would rather not touch your phone, the list is endless.

Good suggestion. Yes Android has a similar feature, as @Carlos said there are downsides, battery life, and for me, security. I haven't ever investigated, perhaps I will, there is a 'screen always on' setting somewhere, that I believe is still locked but remains visible. Seems counterintuitive.

Just had an email apology from the SVP of Abbott’s Diabetes Care business, but I still don’t feel confident in updating my stable v2.10 to the latest v2.10.1. I see they do say the hanging and crashing that some people had was due to the large amount of data being uploaded, which does fit in with what I experienced when attempting to connect my Novopens.

** Edit ** Decided to bite the bullet and do the upgrade from v2.10 to v2.10.1 and very pleased (and relieved) to say that it updated without any issues and so far is working just fine on rtCGM and scanning!

@barrym, if you do find such a feature could you please share that. I'm on android 13 with a Samsung A52S and I've spent too long trying to find a setting that can do this. I need to replace my phone, so would consider changing to an android make or model that can provide this functionality. Are there widgets that can achieve this? I'm not brilliant with the finer points of phone (or laptop) tech and don't really understand when widgets aren't part of a device's software?

Know what you mean about seems counterintuitive, yet it isn't really making the phone insecure; not so different to continously displaying the time or notifications when locked ..... ?

Thanks

Did you get the upgrade at 11.10 pm because my phone alarm went of with notification of upgrade but sadly it was for ios and I am on android LOL and still I wait and wait wish I had more patience

Hmm, I think I may have read too much into the feature when it was announced (years ago IIRC). Whilst you can have it 'always on' it is still the standard lock screen, so time & some notifications. So unless Abbott make each 1 minute BG a notification we won't see it. FYI That is how Juggluco does it (and the others too I expect).

Ah well, back to plan A!

us too. we end iPhone session on Libre screen and after turning off, just touch the 'thumb button' and it then shows our current bg level from the CGM. So easy. Libre changed my life years ago from DSN guessing, to us seeing what was actually happening between shots

How times change for the better, often think back to how things were before modern insulins & devices.
