Group 7-day waking average?

Good afternoon folks. Late posting today but nice to catch up with everyone's news. 10.1 this morning 😱 Probably because we didn't eat till almost 9pm last night. We had pulled pork and beans on toast and I was starving!
Collected our nuc of bees around 7.30pm then a 45min drive home. Getting them settled into the hive now
Congratulations on your HS @Barrowman
Hope you feel better in a few days @Lisa65 . I am another one who benefited from visiting a chiropractor. Took a few sessions but it was worth the cost.
Lovely photos today. I have a couple of our medlar tree in bloom.20250511_100441.jpg20250511_100236.jpg20250511_100232.jpg

A day of galloping hypo's starting first thing, then 3 hours after brekkas, 2 1/2 hours later there was another, and just now before evening dinner. Adjusting the inflated basal, 10u tonight & 22u tomorrow morning - see if that makes any difference, if not then I'll take 2u off the evening/morning until it all resolves itself. Contacted my DSN and getting put back on to their lists as it's been a while.

Hoping you have a better night @Lisa65 , hope the visit to the chiropractor isn't a complete waste.

Great photo's @silver minion & @eggyg :D

very late posting we've been out most of the day then back in the garden weeding and sorting out a rockery that needs re doing, had dinner outside on the new outdoor furniture, oh 5.3 this morning will be rinse repeat tomorrow if the weather hold up

01:52 BS 10.2 Higher than I’d like but, after a day of faster dropping BS keeping me on my toes I caved in & reduced basal to 50 & went to bed in the afternoon as late as I could, about 15:00 after a dollop of peanut butter, in case of drops. BS stayed VERY flatfish the whole time I slept but, the PB brought me up to the 10’s & that’s where I stayed: I’ve never had such a flatfish, overday as it were as opposed to overnight, while I slept; COULD have left BS in the 5’s but, then again the slower release of the PB is what kept my BS so steady & just had a bit too big of a dollop? But, it was SO heavenly ambrosial that it was hard to stop at 1 teaspoon after not having it in ages & ages: had to re mix the jar of Pip & Nut 99.5% peanuts & 0.5% salt; I eventually forced myself to stop at 3 teaspoons! 😛

Another silly o’clock Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’ll play it by ear today & instinct on wether to put basal back up today or not: trying to find the perfect timing of when I need the normal dose again & it actually reaching that level with the long turnaround of dose changes; that’s the drawback of Tresiba! 🙄:confused:o_O I WILL need that normal dose of basal at SOME stage but, in the meantime the reduced dose is making my BS a bit more stable without the need for all the extra biscuits: I’m still trying to lose a bit more weight before my next review; the extra calories add up! :thankyou:

Morning and a 7.4 and seems to be a consistent rise up from 6s in wee hours due to DP since the current spell of hot weather so not sure if I am restless in bed and that replicates the body thinking it is waking up.
My webinar went well and although there is no reason it wouldn’t I always think my Internet will drop out or can’t share the screen etc and we had about 50 on the call so don’t want any gremlins.
Rest of day was pretty routine and as refuse tip is open later managed to clear and bag up remaining garden rubbish.
Also managed to plant the Jasmin Tree and decided to place it against back wall of a garage we have way down the bottom of the garden. So we dug the hole, planted it and then back filled and all looks good.
BG levels stayed a little high but essentially within range so happy enough.
Nice trip to Denbigh and Ruthin today and much more relaxed so will find a nice spot for lunch and will drop wife of at Dentist in Town and then head off.

Morning all. 4.9 today. According to my graph I was hypo for almost an hour between 1-2am! The alarm definitely didn’t go off, it’s so loud one of us would have woken. Very odd. Fingerpricked to check the accuracy as it’s a new sensor. Absolutely spot on.

Lovely day all round yesterday, weather was glorious. Mr Eggy packed us a picnic and we walked down to the beach. Got settled in a little rocky cove right by the waves. It was great. I had a sandy chicken sandwich and a packet of Aldi’s fake Pom Bears, I love them and to me they’re not as salty as the real ones. Mr Eggy packed himself a glass of red wine in the flask, a glass, a Kilner jar, found in @zippyjojo cupboard filled with sun-dried tomatoes and olives! Also three pieces of homemade focaccia I brought and froze. He likes the high life does that lad! We even had a paddle, there was some hardy folks swimming. Brrr!

Off to Scalpay today to see the lighthouse. Looking forward to that. Going to be hot again.

Have a great day, and don’t forget the sunscreen.

Just phone photos from our beach day.

6.5 for me today. Think the insulin resistance is kicking in. I had to change my cannula at around midnight as my bg suddenly started rising with double arrows! Very odd. All ok now though!

School today and I'm hosting Warhammer club at lunchtime. The kids are looking forward to painting the models they've been making. In the library. What could go wrong

Good morning everyone. Where does the time go?

BG 5.1, a tease

I led worship at a local church last Sunday. It went well but the practice on the Saturday evening was a nightmare as one of the team decided to be disruptive and objecting to everything. It's not something I have encountered before. I just couldn't stop the negativity. They have since appologised. It was a shame because it spoiled everything.

Today I have no real plans as my hip continues to give me pain so going for any walks is out of the question.

My wife continues to do well and is happy and more relaxed.

Oh, and out of the blue, the surgery gave me a new BG meter, a Gluco RX. It seems better than my old one.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 4.8. Nothing planned today except my friend coming round for a crochet day.

Morning all. 🙂 7.4 here.

It’s going to be a scorcher. I’m in a lovely cool classroom all day on Wednesdays, so my BG should behave - until 3pm, at least.

Roll on the weekend. I’ve some new plants that need planting and an area of now scabby-looking forget-me-nots that need replacing.

I hope the pain eases @Lisa65.

5.9

Ballet yesterday. Took a friend who adores opera but has never been to ballet.

Seats were great. The program was interesting. Particularly enjoyed the middle two pieces, one danced to the full orchestra on stage alongside a singer giving a great rendition of some Joni Mitchell songs and absolutely nailing “Both Sides Now”. The other top piece was Us a gorgeous two hander danced by a pair of male dancers (I need to double check who danced last night but I think it was Reese Clarke plus one I didn’t recognise) which had tension, fluidity, extraordinary musicality and buckets of soul.
The headline piece was based on American in Paris and looked fantastic with gorgeous costumes, great set design, and approximately 50 dancers on stage at some points. For all that it has going for it visually and musically it didn’t land totally with me as I felt there was a lack of connection from the male lead.
It was still a great evening of ballet and ballet inspired dance and I think it’s the best thing overall that I’ve seen so far this year.

Good morning everyone, a great day out there.
7.1 for me, i had walnuts in the wee small hours so myself to blame.
I'm going out today, but I need to charge Indie up first, so it's looking like I'll go this afternoon. Do others find that they feel better in this weather?
take care one and all
love

A 5.6 for me today. 🙂

Morning everyone. A 4.8 for me this lovely sunny morning I need some rain for my garden it’s parched and my water butts are empty.

Have a good day folks and stay cool.

Good morning. 6.00 which, given yesterdays ice cream consumption, is a miracle. Sweltering with leg brace rubbing skin off swollen limb. Decided to ignore doctors, who are clearly mad, took off brace, licked up another cone, slept for 8 hours...strapped back into torture device now for my world famous Hopalong Cassidy tribute act. Building works making progress 3 rooms ready for painting today. Stil! Cant make my mind uo about skylighrs in the kitchen.

A rather depressing report in today’s Guardian “Diabetes linked to one-third of cardiovascular deaths - audit”. Then a high reading of over ten this morning after a very low alarm at 2.20am of 2.9. Ho hum. Took too much glucose. Maybe also too much long-lasting after I adjusted dose up by one earlier last month which is giving me night-time lows.

The sun is shining though.

Nick

Morning all and 5.7 for me.

Halfway through my shave this morning and the blade pinged off the handle and straight down the toilet bowl. Last blade! Put an old one on and scraped the stubble on the other side.

Have a good day everyone.
