Good morning all. 5.4 in rainy Cumbria.
We had rain yesterday but not too much, it was a sticky day and I had a jacket on in the town because of the rain. I was in a total lather! I hate shopping at the best of times but yesterday was horrible and we were only in 50 minutes! Got what I went for so all is good. Hopefully that’s it for another month or two!
We’re going away tomorrow for a couple of days, we’re heading darn souff, well, Rotherham, that’s quite far enough. We’re going to the RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show. We’re staying over tomorrow night at Wetherby, just as it was on the route and I know the hotel ( niece got married there), and it was an absolute bargain. I do love a bargain, £126 for DBB for us both, I’m not expecting Michelin star grub, Wetherspoons style maybe.
😉It was almost cheaper than the show tickets! I’m really looking forward to it. Forecast good, 25 degrees, but not full sun all day thank goodness.
Today is a cooking day as it’s a bit cooler. I have a glut of courgettes. So I’m making courgette pakoras for the freezer, I did the same last year and it’s not long since we ate the last of them. We love them as a starter before a curry. Then I making my old favourite, I’ve been making them well before the old D, salmon and lime fishcakes. We have them with noodles and sweet chilli sauce, an absolute carb fest and it’s the only time I have to inject double figures of bolus! Worth it though and it’s an occasional treat. A little bit of what you fancy does you good.
Lovely to see you back on here
@PattiEvans, take it easy, you’ve had a rough ride and from someone who has had their fair share of big ops, you’ll need an afternoon nap for quite a while, your body has been through a lot and it’s telling you you need to rest, don’t resist. Glad you got to your friend’s wedding.
Have a fab day wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.
