Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all, 6.5 here.
Managed our New Year’s day walk yesterday, it stopped raining after lunch and the wind died down, but it was grey and gloomy. We are promised wall to wall sunshine today, just as both kids have gone back to work, so no chance of another family walk.

Met up with a friend yesterday to go and gently mock the ridiculous New Year’s Day Parade. It’s honestly the weirdest thing ever. It’s pretty much American high school bands and London boroughs having floats. And there’s always a donkey or two.

The Americans love it and it’s televised live in the US but they don’t get that we are a cynical and sarcastic bunch and that when we turn out to watch it that doesn’t mean we’re not taking the **** somewhat!

Anyway it was raining horizontally so we didn’t bother with that and went to the flicks instead. Saw Nosferatu. It’s not what I was expecting. It’s very good and is pretty much an art house version of the story. It’s in colour but such a low amount it’s almost black and white. Beyond that the acting is superb as is the direction.

There’s perhaps one jump scare but really it’s not scary in that sense.

It’s worth seeing in the cinema as well because I just don’t feel it’ll have the same impact on telly.

Today I’m taking the folks to see Guys and Dolls. I’m standing in the immersive bit, they’re sitting in the circle as they’re ancient! Going to take them to The Real Greek for lunch beforehand. Should be a slightly bonkers but fun day.
 
Morning all. 5.4 for me.

After yesterdays/last nights heavy rain, we have thick frost and temperature not forecast to be above freezing all day. I need to go and do a food shop then meeting a friend for coffee. Decs are down and hubby is back at work, everything is back to normal.
 
Good morning HS today, that was a pleasant surprise on waking

Congrats on yesterday’s HS @Pam123 (plus any others I’ve missed recently)

I spent yesterday evening being frustrated by a Samsung printer that just doesn’t want to connect via the Wi-Fi to my Samsung mobile phone 🙄🙄 using logic that shouldn’t really be challenging

I will try again today after a few coffees :thankyou: :confused:

Morning all. 11.0 here...whatevs. It does whatevs it wants, whatev tweaks I make. So yeah, whatevs.

Looks cold but sunny out there. Best get out there before the holidaying hordes wake up and hit the streets / beach / cafés. It was reeeeally busy here yesterday - 2500 people did the NYD Swim, apparently. Brrrr...well done them!
 
4.8 for me this morning and a straight line in the red just below 4 all night. I seem to remember waking up and eating a JB at some point but I can't see any sign on it on the graph. It sometimes seems like my body deliberately drops me down to that level and then maintains it despite my efforts to nudge it up a bit. I do sleep well between 3.5 and 4 though, so not complaining too much.
 
Sorry @Wendal (Happy Birthday!) the DF sent me this today, which may have been for you? Still, I’m not complaining with a lovely 5.2 HS!

Not much planned today as my wife has an appointment with a chiropodist, but it’s a nice excuse to go with her and spend some time in a coffee house nearby. Still looking good for the weather for tomorrow when we plan to be off to the seaside - thinking about Barry Island in honour of the Christmas Gavin & Stacey :rofl:

Morning all, 7.3 and a very rare sleep in for me this morning. Feels strange.

Yesterday was my first day in as long as I can remember with no nasty (what I now know to be) carb induced symptoms!
Tested a few times and even got some 6’s!

Hoping for the same today now I’m seemingly getting the hang of things, I just need to healthy it up a touch more as I keep forgetting my cholesterol bother with focusing so hard on carbs first.

Morning all (only just!) - it's a lovely day. Lots of blue sky but just a few dark clouds.

7.3 first thing. Seems that's the best this HCL can do.

Blood tests at 12:30. Home for lunch and then grocery shopping and picking up the new microwave from Currys. We got most of the decorations down yesterday but the tree is a good afternoon's work on it's own. Will probably do that tomorrow when I get home from the MRI scan of my knee.

7.0 for me. Highest its been for me in a long while but I did have roasted peanuts with our board game late last night so not that surprised (other than that it's not higher!)

We're taking oldest and youngest bowling this afternoon (daughter is off out with friends instead).

@BobbleHat obviously 7.0 is still a very good waking reading especially if had eaten both peanuts and a board game yesterday 🙄

It sounds like most places are quite sunny today although still very cold, it was -1 when I woke today & currently has risen to a sweltering 2c so it’s definitely coat weather down here for us southerners, I’m not planning on going out really today although I have a few parcels to return (2 to drop off Via Evri & one for the post office) so if I do venture out, I will definitely wear both my Big Coat & Sunglasses, I’m taking the advice I was given as best I can.
keen to be as normal as I can, before I think about RTW in a few weeks time
