Group 7-day waking average?

Happy New Year! :party::party: 6.8.

We went “out out” yesterday, the first time going into a pub in the town since 1982! Really, we used to either throw house parties or attend them, and we once went to a dinner dance in a local hotel, but going into town wasn’t an option when you had kids. So on the wettest and windiest day since the last one, we got on the 2.30pm bus to town, went in two pubs and were home for 5.45! Rock and roll us! Tea at 6.30, it was all prepped, PJs on by 7! Bed at 11pm, for the first time ever we didn’t see in the new year, we were exhausted. Lightweights! o_O

Going to take the trees and decorations down today as we haven’t much spare time between now and the 6th.

Have a great day, I love the new year it brings fresh hope and longer days. Bring on the spring.

Happy New Year to one and all and a Good Morning to boot even though it is lashing it down.
An 8 for me after a slight bit of DP but am very pleased with how the BG has been the last 24 hours.
We went around to friends for a couple of hours last night and they had a houseful and had a casino night amongst other pastimes.We decided to have a Chinese beforehand but only Soup and Char Sui Fried rice which was really good and then if the food was not great we could go light and I do find that easier to manage my diabetes.
We then went out 2 hours later and take some food like Onion Barjis and Sausage rolls with red onion and Shropshire Blue Cheese which my wife made and there was various other offerings people had brought.
So I took another 4u just before entering their house and left the insulin in the car and timed it really well and did proceed to eat a fair bit of buffet food but managed to stay pretty flat.
Back seems a little better but still going to go to my chiropractor appointment on Monday.
Anyway have a great 2025 and good luck with any Resolutions
 
Morning All - 8.3. Happy New Year everyone :party: We had a lovely evening. Just daughter & boyfriend staying here now and my brother brought over my Mum & 18 year old niece. I'd told everyone to prepare a game of some sort and it was such fun with supper in between - proper meal, not buffet (phew!). My very unfit 62 year old brother surprised us all with his flexibility with the cereal box game (google it) whilst my extremely fit 57 year old fell running husband showed us how inflexible he is! We played Mr Macarana's Band, Who am I and a game involving candles & forfeits. Hubby and I drove Mum & niece home through the floods and got back with plenty of time to watch a bit of Jools Holland and then the London Fireworks (wow!). New Year's Resolution is to go to bed earlier, lose a bit of weight and do more walking and other exercise. Have a lovely day all xxx

Very best wishes to you all for 2025.

I went to bed early and apart from needing the odd JB, I slept really well. Woke up the first time on 4.4, dropped back off to sleep and woke again 10 mins later on 3.4 which I didn't do anything about and 5 mins later I was on 4.5. Happy enough with that as I sleep best at those levels.
 
Happy New Year all! 6.7 for me this morning. Sneaked a choccy bic on the way to bed after watching the London fireworks on TV, to counteract the alcohol in the G & T I had earlier in the evening. Seemed to balance out reasonably!
 
Happy new year all looks like the year started good for me at moon i was 5.3 and this morning i woke up to a 5.2 so lets hoppe to continue have a year like this and to all of you to a sweet year with not such sweet BS

Morning folks. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!!

Managed to stay up until after midnight. I wasn’t sure if the puppy’d be upset by the fireworks - she was fine, but Gwen was shaking all over and trying to get inside my sweatshirt, as per usual.

A new year lie-in this morning! There’s the local NYDS (NY’s Day Swim) at midday - it’s hilarious and all for a good cause. Then settle down to a film and finish knitting a bobble hat. Thrilling stuff!

Hope whatever your plans are, they don’t get scuppered by the weather.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope that 2025 will be kind to you. Quiet night in - just me, my wife and our youngest (our eldest was in London with his girlfriend, but they'll be here later). Despite the array of nibbles that my wife prepared - both savoury and sweet - I got a 5.7 this morning, which is pretty normal for me.

A bit windy here (it's blown the cover off our garden furniture) but no rain until later according to the forecast. Will try and fit in our usual New Year's Day walk before it arrives. Hope everyone has a good day despite the weather.

7.2 for me. Had acid reflux during the night. Serves me right for having left over sausage roll for supper.

Nice roast beef joint for today. Better get the veg prepped.

Only just got up, watched the fireworks on the telly, although there were so many where I live you couldn’t have slept through them, thankfully all stopped by about 12.30. Anyway starting the year on a 4.7, family coming round later.

I woke to a 5.4 which i was pleased with as i'd had a few drinks and some cheese and crackers. I slept well too.

Its very wet and windy here so apart from taking the tree down we're not doing much.

5.5 for me this morning after a lovely flatfish overnight. A good start to a new year.

Our traditional NYD seaside visit is cancelled due to the bad weather. Luckily everything survived the winds here and although it doesn’t look too bad the forecast of more rain and wind today has put us off going anywhere. Looks like Friday may be a better day so we’ll likely go out then instead.
