Group 7-day waking average?

7.3 this morning. Bedtime reading was a little high at 11.4 following my hypo so popped in a little correction of NR and an extra unit of Levemir.

Got a face to face appt with the DSNs and a dietician this morning just to check how I'm getting on.

Fingers crossed my antibody results are in also.

Other than that it's the last day of the year and I've got absolutely nothing planned so will get on with building my plane and getting some other models I have ready to fly.

Morning all 🙂
7 for me this morning. Still getting through Christmas wine!

Had a rotten experiment last night which saw it fly up to 11.9! Won’t be doing that again, felt bloody awful.

6.1 for me but that was after FOTF as I woke up feeling quite ill and nipped to the loo thinking I might be sick. I wasn't fortunately and my tummy has settled so off to work I go!

6.4

King’s Gallery was crazy busy and there’s a limit to how many drawings I can take in at a time even when they’re by da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio or Fra Angelica so I was cultured out after about an hour and a half.

Chanukah celebration was fun but freezing cold. Scoffed one too many doughnuts if truth be told.

And booked a cruise yesterday. October next year. Barcelona to Miami. 14 days with 8 consecutive sea days. Eek.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4

I am hoping that 2025 will be a better year for my family.

Tonight my friend comes over for tea: pizza and cake (not together)

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all, 6.8 here. Too many Hotel Chocolat choccies. I got sent a box by the tour company we went to Italy with in the autumn, and with which we have just booked another hol for April, as a loyalty thankyou. All very nice, but they’ve just factored in the cost of sending out choccies into the cost of their holidays, haven’t they!
Went for a walk in the grounds of Blenheim Palace yesterday. (If you park at one of the back gates, there’s a public footpath that runs through).Don’t know if we’ll get any more walks in for the next couple of days, looking at the weather forecast, the local estate usually opens its doors on New Years Day, but have said if it’s too windy they won’t, because of all the old trees that might shed branches or worse.

Morning

An oh so near oh so far 5.1, feeling slightly better today, not so much aching and no pain when swallowing, think the cold side of the lurgy is coming out now, so hopefully starting to get better. No plans for tonight, will probably watch telly in bed later as hubby is on early shift so was up at 4am today, he does have tomorrow off, so having family round in the afternoon, will just be pizza, sandwiches and nibbles, nothing exotic, at least I am not feeling like I need to cancel it. Hoping to be up to doing a bit of knitting or crotchet today, something I haven’t done in over a week.

A 5.8 for me this morning. 🙂

5.3 this morning after quite a drop from around midnight looking at the chart. But then there was the last of the Christmas pudding and Christmas cake in the evening 😉 so I presume some of the bucket load of NR was still active causing the drop from 10.x down to around 4. Kind of looking forward to some normal eating and hopefully normal patterns again!

Still puzzling over my diabetes type, onto insulin after 5 years and it looks like my pancreas has been producing the same low amount of insulin since then, i.e. for the last 17 years, with not much insulin resistance. I feel as though I’m neither T1 nor T2. However, I’m thankful to be on insulin which is controlling things quite nicely and that’s really what matters rather than some classification.

For those that celebrate, have a good NYE, see you all next year!

9.2 for me this morning after a couple of JBs just after 4am for a 3.0 and a naughty amount of red preceding it. No idea if I just sleep through the low alarm or wake and hit the reader button to cancel the alarm but just go straight back to sleep... like I do with my wake up alarm all too often. 🙄

Morning all. I woke this morning to a flat line all night, however it was a flat line at 10. Not long before bed i was in the 4s so i had a couple of choccies from the tub. They obviously pushed me up.

We're off to the cinema at lunchtime to see The Order (? i think) then calling in at the hospital to see mum. Tonight will be spent as usual, just the two of us with a drink and tv. Gone are the days when we used to go out, its too expensive, crowded and noisy now. Or am i just getting old?

@Grannylorraine glad you're feeling a little better.
@eggyg i hope you don't get any call outs and can have a relaxing evening.

Have a happy new years eve everyone.

Morning all - yet another grey one.

7.3 this morning again - seems like par for the course these days.

Not doing anything this evening, except maybe watching Jools Hollandand and eating party nibbles that we still have uncooked in the fridge from the other day. As @freesia says, it's too expensive, crowded and noisy. Today we shall be eating the 2nd half of the duck pie I made for last night at lunchtime. Julian shredded all the meat off the duck, I threw in left-over cubed up carrots and a load of halved mushrooms. The leftover Rosemary and honey sauce from the duck wasn't quite enough so I made up a sauce from chicken gravy granules, a stockpot, white wine and a spoonful of honey and put that in as well. Julian said he enjoyed it so much more than the duck when it was roasted the previous night. I fancy some mash with it (bit OTT with pastry as well) but hey ho... the holidays and the indulgent eating are coming to an end.

Glad you're feeling a bit better @Grannylorraine

Wishing you a speedy recovery @goodybags

Yes exactly, the river cruise company we went with last year and have booked for next year sent us a case of wine.....

Have a lovely end to 2024 all - see you next year.

Morning all and 6.8 for.

Been out running a few errands before the promised deluge this afternoon.

Haven't been out on NYE for ages. Rather overrated in my opinion. We always watch the fireworks on the Tele provided they don't get cancelled like the Edinburgh event.

Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon a very relieved @goodybags checking in with 6.6 (this morning) following yesterday’s surgery

On waking this morning eye cover removed and washed ready for placing over eye tonight & eye drops done, 3 different types of drops to administer at various times (up to 4 times a day over the next 14-28 days) quite a list of don’ts and does to remember post procedure so good they’ve detailed everything clearly & precisely

Im told I will be OK to drive in 3 days, in the meantime I’m In relaxation¡ mode under orders to do as I’m told, currently got both Mrs @goodybags & my Sister waiting on me, although my Sister headed home later today

Thank You :thankyou: everyone for your good wishes and support, this forum is so good for not just Diabetes control advice but definitely also MH

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone 😎

@freesia you're still a "youngster" but I agree it's all too OTT for me and Missus T2

Just come out of the cinema. The film was ok, a true story but shocking and upsetting subject matter!

A bit late for a waking reading I know but it's been a busy day, Anyway it was a 5.4 for me
first thing today.

Oh forgot to say earlier I had an appointment with my DSN for my annual toe tickling, foot fiddling session.
Her verdict "Excellent". :D

5.1 this morning back just back from the gym, having a picky tea this evening chicken and bacon baguettes with salad
with sausage rolls, still have lots of mince pies Christmas cake left but I will be good, tonight I will however have a few glasses of wine and maybe a couple of chocolates, I have had a break from my sensor since just before Christmas oddly enough ive been really stable just doing finger pricks morning and before bed to make sure I'm not to low before sleep. I will of course put a new sensor on after tomorrow, as ive no idea what is happening in-between meals, its been nice to be honest but needs must. hope everyone has a good evening

Happy new your to you all x
