It's rather chilly outside at the moment - but no rain (it all fell yesterday).

Good morning! Happy with a HS after a restless night with a Triple P (Phantom Pain Peak - not toilet visits :rofl:).

After Wednesday's extra physio non-event yesterday was another disaster as Patient Transport failed to turn up! I spoke with my physiotherapist later and in fact only one person from the whole group got to the group session. She was also not happy about Wednesday's outcome.

Overcast and raining. A friend in North Herts is trying to stop the flood waters coming into the house. They had minor flooding about ten years ago. It is not really a flood risk area but ongoing neglect of the drains by the council. Yet they have money for highly paid non-jobs!

Morning

9.4 today, last day day of long lates days. I have a very tight congested chest. Miserable day here as well, grey, wet, and windy, felt like staying in bed all day.

Morning everyone from a very wet Bedfordshire, it’s been raining most of the night, still on the bright side I won’t need to water the garden.

Anyway, I had to get up and go downstairs to get some test strips so today’s reading of 6.1 is higher than usual.

True story. Many years ago a couple in the village went away for six months. They asked my neighbour/friend to keep a check on their bungalow . One day their burglar alarm was ringing so she went over. Peeked in the windows and was shocked to see the place was in an uproar, clothes hanging out of drawers, stuff lying all over the place. but no sign of a break in. She called them and explained. They then had to admit they’d left it like that! And ever since then I’ve always left my house immaculate! We still laugh about it now. :rofl:
 
We have the same start to the day as @Grannylorraine - grey, wet and windy. Had two thunderstorms yesterday and the rain was monsoon-like, absolutely torrential. I'd just come out of the leisure centre before the first one and was planning on having lunch in town, but the sky looked ominous so I headed back to the car in the multistorey next door. By the time I got to it the heavens had opened. Smart move.

@BobbleHat - the eye screening is just a photo. No puffs in the eye but probably eye drops beforehand.

Friday, so Big Shop later. Groceries costing a bit more these days now that our youngest is no longer at Sainsbury's. Still get Nectar prices, though, and Morrisons have now started the same thing with their More card. Every Little Helps, though we rarely shop at that one.

Still the wrong side of the border with a 6.2 this morning.

It's not raining! Need to get some clarinet reeds. The ones I'm using at the moment seem to be on their way out. Don't want tomorrow's show to be a squeak fest.

Morning all. Bit nippy, not sure what the weather's like as I haven't opened the verticals because it's Friday and I'm off to my son's later to meet up with my brother. Friday is set in stone. Downsizing Mum's garden which is a huge job and will take years. Why did I put so much in? 😱 One point up from yesterday @ 7.6 not bad. I'd eaten too much pickled beetroot and an entire family size tub of coleslaw. I wish I wasn't so greedy. :( Have a great day all. Lovely to see you on here @Wirrallass 🙂

I guess this will vary across the country. My GP Health Centre have told me that they don’t look after T1s and prefer to have them under hospital care. However, if you are stable and not asking for any help for adjustments, etc. then my GP are ok with having me just in their care. The hospital however are more than happy to keep me under their care as they said it is always useful as they are up to date with any developments, technology or smart insulins, etc. and therefore if anything comes along it would be easy for me to get onto it.
 
So close with a 5.1 this morning.

Had a good day yesterday despite some rain, which did clear away as the day went on. We drove out to Portstewart and Portrush, I must admit to buying ice creams in Portstewart - eating them in the car whilst the rain beat down on us :rofl:

We’re planning a drive out to the Donegal coastline today, the weather is even looking a bit better than yesterday.

Good morning, wow this morning I am down to 5.7, I may have to keep a close eye (taking empagliflozin) although after pricking finger realised finger felt a little cold, so not sure if that was an accurate reading.
 
9.8 for me. I was tense all day yesterday, so I made the dreaded phone call this morning when there was some peace; It had a positive outcome with some advice, which I'll follow. After that, I felt the wave of anxiety lift. I played pool with Rach, winning 2-0 - I couldn't miss.

It's a lovely sunny day and, relatively warm in the sunshine, today after the damp conditions yesterday, with a moderate northerly breeze.

I persuaded my wife to get dressed and go to town to collect the recent news about the bank not closing this year.
 
Evening all. - This morning was miserable with rain, this afternoon the sun came out with a vengeance - it knew I'd had drops in my eyes!

8.3 this morning - no idea why. Mode on HCL keeps switching to Manual and I don't know why. It's been a somewhat difficult day as I had to go back to Spa Medica for another eye inspection to see if the inflammation had gone. It has, though there are one or two small markers still there. Apparently I'm to continue on the drops for 2 weeks but do not need a further appointment. Just another eye test to ascertain a correct prescription.

We set off for Truro leaving 1.40 hours before my appointment as traffic can be difficult, but we sailed through, leaving time to visit Dunelm Mill to get a couple of much needed bathmats (a couple of ours had developed fringes round the edges where they had frayed badly and were ultra thin). Then spent most of the afternoon sitting around waiting along with a bunch of other OAPs but we did put the world to rights whilst we waited. During this time BG rose to 20.6 for no discernible reason as I had bolussed correctly for lunch. Whilst having the conversation with the optometrist alarms on my PDM were going mental! Not just about high BG, but about switching to manual mode.... I found it hard to concentrate on anything at all whilst this was going on!

Came home slowly with traffic congestion (and most of the time with my hand over my eye) and am now cooking roast chicken. It was for Sunday but we've been invited out for lunch now and it needed using before Monday.

Yawning morning, another early start. 4.9. Hopefully tomorrow in Welsh Wales I’ll be more relaxed and manage a Sunday lie in.

I need to finish my book, tried to last night but couldn’t keep my eyes open, I’ve not many pages left. I don’t want to take an almost finished book on holiday, space is at a premium in our car. Looking forward to Mr Eggy’s take on Tetris later on when he packs the boot. I’m not allowed anywhere near, only he knows the answer to the puzzle!
