Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a 6.5 for myself after a good sleep and a correction factor after another lunch out and Gala pie for tea.
Lunch was back to normal high standard and then we just had a lazy afternoon with the odd short walk.
Meetings today and short trip to Liverpool and then a couple of visits tonChester later 8p week so nice routine and not too busy.
Enjoy your week.

Morning all. 5.6 this morning for me.

In a bit of a rush but there’s a CCC coming later… saw Deepstaria yesterday. Wayne McGregor’s new piece at Sadler’s Wells where he was inspired by jellyfish.

And just been emailed that my kaftans are being shipped!! Exciting!!

Lots of love

Wow, I thought you were joking about the kaftans. Clearly not. Enjoy the breeze.

Good morning all. Like @Robin so close but t’other side of a HS, 5.3.

No frost here, dull as dishwater and 8 degrees. Our plan is to get in the garden. I’m desperate to get the electric hedge trimmers out, I don’t cut the hedge, that’s my way of “pruning” the fuchsia bush and Michaelmas daisy! Works every time, looks terrible initially and every year I think I’ve gone too far, but it all comes out in the wash. 😉

Felt loads better yesterday, did some cleaning and ironing whilst Mr Eggy was partying with the toddlers. I think I got the better deal TBF, he was knackered when he got home!

Have a Happy Monday.

Mr Eggy thinking he’s 5 not almost 65!

Good morning! I'm with Gail in the 5.0 step 🙂

I've been absent for a few days so hope you are all well, congratulations on any good news and hugs to those who are going through a rough patch.

I'm finally installed in my new flat and very happy about it. I'm now the proud owner of a double bed that I assembled mostly on my own. I did have a moment in the process where I questioned my life choices, but it was satisfying once I finished

I do have a bunch of bags and boxes to sort out, thankfully the flatmate said is okay to leave them in the living room and take my time, so my room is not overly cluttered. I don't have long to get settled, tho: I'm going on a trip to Cambridge with my parents this week, and will spend Sunday eve and Monday in London after that. So I have to unpack so I can pack: I need to find the clothes I wanna take and also free up some bag to take them!

6.5 this morning, so back the other side of the line again on yet another bright, sunny but frosty Berkshire morning. Yesterday turned out nice, though. My wife and I spent the afternoon in the garden, front and back, doing some general maintenance. I finally finished painting our garden fence and my wife cut back the stuff bordering one side of our driveway, which is now a foot wider than it was when she started. Filled 3 garden waste bags but the next collection is next week, so I'll be heading to the recycling centre over in Bracknell this morning to drop them off, along with some other stuff.

Interesting that you say 'dull as dishwater' @eggyg as I always say 'dull as ditch water'. Out of curiosity, what do other members say? As for Mr Eggy my first thought was that he's channelling his inner Ed Davey if you remember those stunts of his during the General Election.

Sun's blazing down out of a clear blue sky here now and our forecast is for more of the same. Hope everyone has a good start to the week.

Another 5.1er here today. 🙂

Morning all - been AWOL on my grand tour down south (Dorset & Devon in 2 days). The weather was amazing and I had a gorgeous walk on a beach with one lot of friends with coffee in a beach cafe and then after a quick train ride down to Devon had a lovely walk around Salcombe and out round to North Sands and looped back - definitely needed the scone with jam and cream that we had before we started! Then arrived back "Oop North" and two of the children home for the weekend. Went out for a dog training session yesterday which was in a field of sheep - Elsa was very good and hardly paid them any attention so we felt quite smug (makes a change!). Nice lunch out after that with the addition of my Mum and brother as it was 50 years since the day my Dad died back in 1975 - it's always hard especially when it falls on a Sunday as he was a vicar and taking the church service at the time and my poor Mum was only 35 with 3 children. Anyway - she went on 15 years later to re-marry my lovely stepfather who then died 15 years ago (she always did go for the slightly older man, although my Dad was only 48). I'm planning on spending quite a bit of time in the garden today as I've got lots to do - first though I need to go out and buy some compost. Have a great day everyone. Oh and my TIR has suffered somewhat with that time away - down to 83% from 94 but worth every mouthful!

I've always said dishwater but I've heard lots of people use ditch water. 🙂

Oooh it’s maybe one of those malapropisms, like damp squid instead of squib. I’m heading over to Google.
Re Ed Davey, that made me laugh!

Morning

4.8 on this lovely sunny day, had a nice day with my granddaughter which lifted my spirits, but still feeling low, but it will pass and was due to events last Thursday which we had waited for over 3 years to finally happen and it turned out much worse than we expected and left me feeling low and guilty. Today big shop and knitting/crotchet, I really must pick up a book and read as well.

@Elenka_HM - hope you will be very happy in your new flat.

@Martin.A - We say dull as ditch-water as well.

11.2 for me despite another 2 unit increase in Levemir. :(

Another vote for dishwater here and damp squib for that matter.

I only relatively recently learned that it is tenter hooks though and not tender hooks. I always thought it referred to the hooks butchers hang meat carcasses on to age (and tenderise) them, rather than the actual meaning of hooks used to prevent shrinkage of woolen cloth during manufacture..

4.8 this morning for me.

We have our kitchen flooring and downstairs cloakroom refurb starting today so we’ll be in a mess this week but looking forwards to the end result.

Got my hospital DSN phone appointment this morning which I’m feeling quite positive about, fingers crossed it doesn’t disappoint!

On the dishwater/ditch water, I’ve heard both so perhaps here in the Midlands we are a blend of North and South variants?

Take care everyone!
