Group 7-day waking average?

Morning

5.9 today after a slightly higher carby day yesterday, going to see mum today, she got the 5 star treatment at her follow up eye appointment yesterday, but that meant she had the dreaded drops put in her eyes. Then this evening 2 hrs of yoga.

@eggyg - enjoy the flower show today.

And then wandered a bit inside the V&A and found this subtle table centre.

It stood 8ft high. And it’s a table fountain made by Meissen for a Count someone or other… it was used to decorate the table only for the dessert course. Because they realised that it was a bit ott if it was used for starters or a picky tea maybe. IMG_3528.jpeg

Another 8.2 this morning. Must have had too many new potatoes with my chops.

Yesterday’s clinic visit was a bit of a disaster. Not the clinic staff’s fault but an admin mess-up. I’d had various digital reminders of my 11-o-clock appointment including a message reminder the day before. I turned up at 10.50 only to be told by the receptionist that I was a “no show” as I should have been there by 10am. Nope I said, look here, flourishing my mobile, this definitely says 11am. And this earlier message, and this NHS app notification, and this email. Sorry she replied, the (single) dietitian has another patient at 11am and can’t be interrupted. You’re a NO SHOW. After a long wait and various conversations with other staff (who were nice but could do nothing) I gave up at 12.20pm. I did get them to agree that Bea, the person I was meant to see, would ring me.

I’m pleased to say she did phone that afternoon. She apologised that the booking system was at fault. We had a constructive discussion and she would follow up with my consultant.

So maybe some progress after all. What a waste of a morning and 2 hours in total on various busses …

Nick

Good Morning everyone. 6.7 for me today, not as low as I would like. I have wondered if the heat we experienced has impacted, did anyone else notice a higher than usual level during the heat. I do feel I am still recovering.

So happy now its cooler and will be over the weekend with some rain hopefully for the garden.

Wishing everyone a great day.

A lot of 6s around this morning and I'm another - 6.3 when I tested. Grey skies when I got up but the sun's out now, although forecast says there's a risk of showers. Just as well I got the laundry up to date yesterday and got the summer house finished. We do have a patch of Cuprinol Forget-Me-Not blue grass now, though - I knocked the tin over while painting the decorative bits.

No one WFH today so just me and our youngest at home, and he's not up yet. Nothing on the calendar except for my regular Thursday swim but will shortly head out to pick up the newspapers and some bits & pieces.

Hope everyone enjoys their Thursday.

Morning all, it’s 6.0 for me
At my usual volunteering at the hospital, two rooms of four patients are out of limits due to MRSA.
That makes it very busy and they haven’t got enough staff, I’m at my first break since eight o’clock and outside in this lovely weather.
Have a great day everyone

Morning all - another grey one, when is it not down here? At least there isn't a breath of wind. Just lots of dogs yapping across the stream.

8.3 I don't really get it. I thought CamAPS was supposed to get me to 5.8. That's the last place it gets me to! On the other hand I am "not well" so it's probably that.

Nothing at all on today. Except we bought a chicken, one of those "ready to roast in the bag" thingies, no effort on my part... just need to cook roasties and some veg. Loads of cottage pies to put in the freezer left over from yesterday. This time they will be labelled.

Hope Mrs Khskel feels better soon.

Have fun everyone....

Morning all, a happy 5.3 for me this grey morning...

@PattiEvans As I read you’d bought a chicken I did think you meant a live hen for a minute there!

Good afternoon folks. 9.2 this morning. Felt so tired yesterday and no energy. I might be going down with something. Slept over 8 hours last night and still tired but I made myself go out in the garden. No digging or planting today but lots of pots to water and bindweed to dig up. The wasps are still feasting on the raspberries and remaining tayberries. Hubby is putting more traps out.
I liked your V & A pictures @ColinUK
Ironically I couldn't read the text on the visibility one.
Have a good day everyone. TTFN

6.7 on this overcast sort of day and I'm not sure it'll improve - not a patch on yesterday. For the second time I've donned a hoodie to keep off the coolness of the afternoon.

The builder has installed a sink in the same place as the previous, with a 'new fangled' mixer tap. He's also made provision for a small worktop (be it narrow) and I don't know how my OH will react to it when she casts her beady' over it.

Have a good day however you find it.

Afternoon folks. On our way home from the RHS Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show. We parked up at 9.15 and had quite a hike to the show. They let us in at 9.45. It was overcast but pleasant. It’s a huge event spread over a lot of ground. I’ve walked 4.5 miles! Unfortunately it started to drizzle about 11.30 and everyone crowded into the flower marquee so was very squashed. Some fabulous plants and flowers. Still raining at 1.30 and my BGs were dropping, 4.1. Got fish and chips and had to eat them standing up in the drizzle! Not enough seating. We’d seen everything by 3, except the house, but the queue was so long we decided to go home which was just as well as the sun came out and it was hot! The car is saying it’s 27 degrees. We’ve had a great day, got loads of ideas and inspiration. The gardens were amazing. It’s on Gardeners World tonight BBC2 at 8pm.
A few photos I took in the marquee on my phone. I’ll download the others from my camera later.

Ooh, I’d just clocked that Gardeners World was on tonight, (because it’s the First Night of the Proms tomorrow). I’ll look out for you, .

Think they recorded it yesterday on members day. Never saw any camera men out and about today, thank goodness, it would be guaranteed they’d catch me eating my fish and chips in the rain!

I have been forced to ditch my aged flip phone and get a Smart phone, it is a voyage of discovery, far too complicated for my tiny aged brain, I have a headache. Managed to transfer my old number and at least do the basics.
Away in the Cotswolds on a bell ringing day, had to pump up my tyre and when I got home the dishwasher (not my OH) had leaked all over the floor. So all I can say is 'What a Day'
