Morning all what a loverly day

Still flip-flopping backwards and forwards either side of 6 with a 5.8 this morning, which has dawned bright, sunny and frosty again. I did get a post-dinner 5.2 yesterday evening, though (I know - that doesn't count). Youngest headed off to Tesco a short while ago for his 8-5 shift but I don't expect to see anyone else up for a while yet.

Picked up our new car yesterday as planned and was impressed with the handover process at the Audi dealership. Although it's the same model as we had before it does have some new features, eg speed limit shows on the dashboard display and it beeps a warning if you exceed it. It did so 3 or 4 times on the way home (it wasn't me, my wife was driving). My wife spent the evening reading the manual.

Pleased you're feeling a little better @eggyg and you're right not to risk passing it on. I had what I assume was norovirus a few years ago and was so fed up with having to rush to the bathroom so often that I grabbed a pillow and stayed there.

Nothing special on the calendar for today, although I do have to drop our eldest off at Twyford station later as he's heading in to west London for a get-together with some of his mates from Uni. Sunday would usually mean futsal but his team's next match isn't until 16th.

Congrats @Grannylorraine on your HS.

Still below freezing here but blazing sunshine and a clear blue sky. Hope everyone gets the same today.

Whatever you're doing, enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning, I actually woke about 90 min ago, sitting on 6.6 right now

Yesterday really enjoyed the Fitness/MH Saturday Morning Fitness Program, same as last week only 2 of us turned up, so it felt like a private football coaching, yesterday was the 3rd week I’ve attended and the 4th week of the program, so kind of suprised it’s not better attended, but I’m really glad I joined

the problem is about better health both physically & mentally, building up to joining in with walking sports (football in my case) I’m finding this excellent for my balance & co-ordination
plus a chance to totally forget life’s stress & anxiety
yesterday I did realise I should ensure I have my Ventolin inhaler with me, was feeling slightly short of breath as we raised some of the speed we were moving at, so rather than in the car as it always is, it needs to be with me

Congrats on your HS today @Grannylorraine

Here in Northampton it’s looking like the sun is out again today
warmer and dryer spring like weather is very welcome
TC everyone 😎

4.9 for me but I injected a correction after I got into bed and another during the night as well as 2 units of Levemir last night so looks like I need to up that a bit more. I slept pretty well though.
@eggyg Hope you are over the worst now. I have had Norovirus a few times and it certainly clears your digestive system out! Not had it with diabetes though. That adds a whole other level of challenge to it.

Morning all. 4.7 dropping to 4.3.

Had a call yesterday, mum was taken back into hospital again.

4.8 this morning. Pretty happy my mornings are back to normal after our holiday, mid to high 4s seems to suit me and sets me up for a good day BG-wise.

My daughter called me the other day to say that her husband has an offer to move to a job in Pittsburgh, PA. Great opportunity for them, but it feels quite scary that we will see so much less of them if they decide to do the move.

@eggyg - glad you’re feeling better today! Hopefully you’ll be back to normal soon.

@Grannylorraine - congratulations on your HS today!

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all.
No numbers today as brand new monitor developed the same fault as previous one even though I've only had it a couple of days. Couldn't do meal readings at dinner last night. Oh well, back to the pharmacy tomorrow 🙄
Congrats on your HS @Grannylorraine I hope spending some time with your granddaughter helps lift your mood.
Glad to hear you are feeling better @eggyg
Such a shame you will miss the planned celebrations but I understand your caution.
More gardening today, the part we are clearing is starting to look like garden instead of jungle.
Enjoy your Sunday everybody.

Neat washing up liquid poured onto the oil, a bit of rubbing in and a normal wash usually gets oily stains off. Might be worth a try if not now then the future.
I managed to get olive oil on another sweatshirt so I followed your advice and it came out of the wash yesterday with no trace of the oil. Great tip - thanks.

8.2 today, slightly better than yesterday's 9.7. I had a very quiet day with lots of tidying and filing done. Followed it up by tidying the kitchen after brekkas and sorting out Princesses necessaries!

The gardener did splendidly in the overgrown land yesterday, it now looks totally different, not so much of a fire hazard anymore, so that's something to be very grateful. He comes back next weekend to tidy the loose ends and make good our laurel hedge.

My flower arrives back later and has promised to take me out for a post-birthday meal at a place of my choice!

Glad you're feeling upto a 'half english' today, @eggyg , hope it goes down and stays down!

Congratulations @Grannylorraine on you HS.

Morning all. A happy 4.9 for me today.

Have a good day everyone and don't get sunburnt.

Morning lovelies!

5.8 on Libre
No jabbers to check at the moment but fairly certain it’s running -1

Lazy morning so far, not even out of bed yet!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ya beauts! 🙂

Afternoon all - another lovely day. We've just returned from a bracing walk along the coast path to Marazion and back.

6.3 this morning. Went up from that to 11.7 after scrambled egg on one slice of toast. The walk brought it down again to 6.3.

Earlier a friend contacted me to tell me he had received his Spirit Tee2 meter (as advised by me) yesterday and could he come round so I could show him how to use it. I had never seen this meter before, I was going on the recommendations of this forum. He came without the instructions, but I figured it out - meters are all much the same. He was 9.4 after a ham sandwich. He's been told that he's pre-diabetic with an Hba1c of 44. I sent him off with the URL of this forum, Jennifer's advice, gave him a Carbs and Cals book as I had 2 and David Cavan's "Reverse your Diabetes" on loan. I want that back as it's signed by David Cavan to me after he used my old forum for lots of info.

Apparently sharps boxes are now a prescription item - picked my script up yesterday in Boots.... they gave me two 4 litre boxes!!!!! Wouldn't change them for smaller ones.... I'll fill those some time in the next century!

Glad @eggyg is feeling a bit better.

Congrats to @Grannylorraine on your HS

Have a good time in what's left of the day...

Morning 8.3. Cold and white over. I have defrosting the car !
Have a good day.
