Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning, 7.5. Not bad after yesterday's stratospheric rise at the pub following what I now suspect was a large glass of full sugar coke.
Have a great day everyone

Good morning! 5'8 today.

Yesterday was the day for my trip to Ikea. I had planned to avoid going on a weekend but I happened to get the day off and I was impatient! I enjoyed the experience, even though it was overstimulating and I ended up exhausted. I spent the whole train trip there reading (and feeling proud of that), on the way back I didn´t bother taking out the book! At least I didn´t have hypos to add to the mix: I´ve noticed I tend to go low when wandering around shops so I reduced my morning basal.

I finally have my bed and mattress ordered. I´m glad I didn´t wait longer to go to Ikea, otherwise I probably wouldn´t get a delivery before my moving date. And I picked a fake plant and a 50p candle so didn´t leave with empty hands, of course :D

Now is just bedding to buy, it might be a trip to ASDA (I'm fancy like that). I'm not to fussed about that, I can always get something nicer in a couple of months, unlike the bed itself which I hope lasts me a long time!
Pleased you got your bed sorted, we have had several IKEA beds which have been very satisfactory.
Dunelm are good for bedding, plenty of selection at a range of prices.

4.6 today
I'll be decluttering all my cupboards/bookshelves this week so starting this morning. Will be listening to my 80s Cheese playlist while I do so :D
Oh, I must do some decluttering as well while I pack my stuff. I'm not very good at getting rid of things, I hope the house move is a good motivation!

Thank you for the idea, we actually have a Dunelm in the same road as Asda so will be easy to have a look at both and then choose 🙂

Could easily be the case if it was draught. I read once, a while back, that when ordering a diet drink always ask for a bottle or a can so that you know it's diet.

Morning lovely ones!

5.5 this morning for me.
Having a little bit of a blip in the ol’ mental health with bloods coming up. Ten days to go and I know I probably shouldn’t be as bothered as I am but I really thought I could get it to non-diabetic numbers but brain has been saying ‘eat all the fun things’ and I’ve got a feeling I’ll end up in pre-diabetic territory looking at averages and GMI which although isn’t as bad as I’m making it out, I just don’t want to hear it.
Ah listen to me, wah wah wah! 🙄

@eggyg - thinking of you all today, funeral’s are the worst.

@Grannylorraine - hope you get to see little miss, does she have a name yet?

Fab day wishes to all <3

Good morning/midday all - another grey one and apparently very cold, but at least it's dry.

6.7 this morning.

Had a good night last night, our host made a Spanish chicken dish which was very nice. The game was fun, only downside was someone knocked over a full glass of red wine, which went all over the table and some elements of my 50+ year old game which until then was pristine. Still, we've dried it out and I think we got there quick enough with tissues and kitchen paper and apart from the box it's not stained. Came from the table being too small for all the stuff on it.

Not got much on today.... am grateful for the quiet day.

Congratulations to @zippyjojo and @khskel on your HSs.

@eggyg hope the funeral goes well and you can relax a bit when it's over.

Have a good day all....

Got caught out while holidaying in sunny? Scarborough last year, boy did I have a spike!

8.1 for this a.m. Had a breakfast out with church friends so only had a brew at home. Brekkas was good, but I should have gone large as it was delicious!

I got results of my eye screening, it says that I'm showing signs of 'diabetic maculopathy' which is cause for concern.

Congratulations @khskel & @zippyjojo on your HSs.

4.9 this morning still trying to sort out getting am appointment for my eyes, its a complete nightmare, they have now said that SpaMedica do the treatment and they will be calling me today but so far nothing, important going to the GP on Thursday to see what he can do.

Congratulations @khskel & @zippyjojo on your HSs

They were incredibly quick when my other half was referred for cataract surgery, a week from optician referral to assessment and 3 days to the procedure.

Yawning morning folks. 5.4 at 5.15 when I got up. I’m so tired.

Funeral went well, if you know what I mean. Vicar called MIL’s sister Maisie instead of Maxie, there was a bit of a kerfuffle with the coffin on the way out of the church but otherwise fine. She had a good turnout. We catered for 70 at the wake and I was worried there wasn’t going to be enough but it turned out fine. What a big family we have, cousins for every more that we haven’t seen for years, one even came from France where she lives with her family. Lots of chatting was going on. Left the wake at 6pm, had been there since 12.30, walked to youngest of the brothers, and stayed there until 10pm, there was 12 of us. Ordered a chippy tea, which I didn’t finish, and I’d halved a portion with Mr Eggy. Thought I’d taken too much bolus but it turned out fine. Think my body was still battling the beige buffet! Had a few glasses of wine/ Cremant interspersed with tea, Diet Coke and water. Mr Eggy and his bros didn’t do any interspersing! They were all a wee bit tiddly! ( Understatement of the year!) Could be some sore heads this morning. But I think it did them good released a lot of stress for them. They reminisced all night whilst the “girls” were talking about grandchildren and the menopause! I think Mr Eggy has forgotten we are babysitting from 8.30am, and we are having eldest and middle daughters and three grandchildren ( as well as one year old Eden) round for lunch! Ooops! Good job someone was sensible yesterday! Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts over the previous few weeks. Much appreciated.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

6.8 on waking, been higher than usual since last night, can’t figure out why.

Woken by a big crunch outside (the joys of living on a main road)
One vehicle has scarpered and the other has been left right outside my house at a jaunty angle and a chap in all orange high vis grabbed something out of the front of the car then buggered off.
Pics snapped, police called.
Different start to the day at least!

Hope you all have a smashing one!
Well, not *too* smashing!

Drive safe today my lovelies!
