Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. Woke to a 14.6 and libre says its been up and down out of target all night. Yesterday afternoon levels started to shoot up but i thought it was down to a dodgy pen. It was nearly empty and when i injected it seemed very "juddery". I changed the pen, ate dinner, then hypoed. Over the evening it seemed ok and i had a small snack before bed. I had a small correction at bedtime and soon after the alarm went off so i thought the correction would kick in. Obviously not, though i had a good nights sleep. I've corrected this morning so we'll see what happens.

Happy belated birthday @rebrascora and happy diaversary.

9.1 and i dont know why
you all take care

Nice day at NT Hughenden yesterday for my wife's birthday day out and was pleased to see that their cafe wasn't closed for refurbishment despite what it said on their website on Wednesday. It wasn't saying that yesterday when we looked. Had a long walk through the grounds and were glad we'd brought our walking boots as it was quite wet and muddy in places. Halfway round we found the route was closed due to tree felling taking place, so we had to retrace our steps a little and find a way round. To be fair their website did mention tree felling but it didn't say which routes were affected, so we were just unlucky with our pick. Lunch in the cafe, a browse in the shop and second-hand bookshop and a look around the house, with NT-supplied overshoes on our muddy boots. Stopped off in Marlow on the way home to do a bit of shopping. Despite what you hear about the decline of the High St, theirs was buzzing - and on a weekday, too.

Our first-choice for fixing our washing machine can't do it until 24th so we're trying to get someone else. We have some priority washing to do for the weekend - our youngest's Tesco uniform and our eldest's futsal kit - so we'll ask our friends a few doors down if they'd mind doing a machine load for us.

This morning is a repeat of yesterday with a 6.1 on waking after another sub-5s post-prandial following yesterday evening's BBQ Chicken Salad. I double-checked again by taking a second reading on the other hand.

Happy belated birthday and diaversary, Barbara @rebrascora - I somehow missed that yesterday.

Enjoy Poet's Day.

5.6

Olivier bookings are coming through thick and fast so I’ve got ten things to see before the end of March currently and there’s more coming.

Turning to holidays I’ve now booked pass cruise accommodation in Miami for later this year and sorted my flight home so that’s all done and dusted. And I booked accommodation for Athens after the cruise May next year as well so all that’s left for that is the flight home.

Hope everyone’s well and babies, children, spouses, parents, in-laws, dogs, horses, gerbils etc are all good too.

And as it’s Valentine’s Day don’t go massacring anyone!

Morning everyone. A happy 5.3 for me today and I can see some patches of blue sky amongst the clouds, maybe a glimpse of sunshine soon.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

Well, I am trumping @freesia this morning to claim the top spot with a 15.1. No idea why but second night in a row when I have been high all night after hypos all day. I didn't take any evening Levemir each night because I had been running low and been active but looks like some adjustment is needed. All I had last night was half an apple with some smoked cheddar, a tub of feta stuffed peppadew peppers and a few roasted peanuts and I went to bed on 10.3 with a 1.5 correction but it just ignored the correction and went up and up.
Anyway, I jabbed 8 units and my Levemir and went back to sleep as there was no way I was letting FOTF add to that high reading and I woke on a much better 4.9 with a vertical downward arrow, just in time to get up and get breakfast. Clearly the Diabetes Fairy has come to celebrate my Diaversary and wreak havoc with my stats in the process.

A little higher 8.3 today, probable cause was last nights JBs!

Woke up for going away today to spend the night in the 'Bridal Suite' of a nearby hotel, to rekindle our love for each other, (need I say more?)

White cloud this morning. It is now getting brighter with glimpses of Mr sun, and hardly any breeze.

Congratulations @Pam123 on your HS.

Happy be-lated birthday @rebrascora !

Morning all - another day like yesterday. Windy and rainy.

4.4 this morning, quickly dropping to 4.1 - 1 Dextro and half a ginger cookie pushed me up to 7.0. No consistency going on at the moment, though TIR for the last 7 days is 94% 14 days it's 87% and no hypos, so I must be content.

Meeting friends in town this afternoon - then home to have our "Dine in" from Sainsbury's. Scallops, steak and choccie dessert. I'm overwhelmed with choccie as I got a funny card this morning and a box of Lindor "double Chocolates". My favourites! Hubby just got a funny card LOL!

Hope everyone has a good valentine's day.... and as @ColinUK says, no massacres.

Good morning everyone! 6'7 this morning.

Had a lovely time with my book club friend yesterday, we went to try a new Vietnamese restaurant. I enjoyed the food but especially the company, and everyone seemed happy. I was also very lucky with my randomly guessed insulin dose and the post meal spike was moderate and very short lived. I planned to have dessert at home but seeing the nice numbers I decided not to spoil it! The only "problem" was I got a tiny but very purple bruise in the injection site.

Yesterday was my dad's 60 birthday so I sent him a voice message first thing saying "Good morning OLD MAN!" before saying I love him lots and wish him a wonderful day  From the pictures he sent and the video call we had later with the rest of the family, is looks like he had a great time indeed!

Speaking of celebrations, happy birthday+diaversary week to @rebrascora <3

This week I am on a mission to find a bed. I went to The Range on Monday, second hand furniture shops on the next town on Wednesday, and today I'm checking the ones in the next town on the other direction. I was posting in the bus earlier and missed my intended stop! Well, no problem, there are two places I planned to see and getting down at a later stop just meant I changed the order.

First shop visited (no luck), now having lunch at a lovely place nearby before moving to the other shop. I had their soup with cheese scone before and it is good. They also gave me a little chocolate for Valentine's!

@Elenka_HM if you struggle to find one, my daughter has had a couple of beds from online Mattress Man. They do beds and mattresses seperately at various prices and styles. The only thing is you may have to put the bed together yourself depending on the style you choose but they come with everything needed. (I say she's had a couple of beds, its not because they broke but because she moved into her own house and left her bed here so she could come home and visit). It might be worth a look if needed.

@Elenka_HM The bed I am currently sleeping on is a pine bed and I got it from Argos. I have had it 20 years at least although it is in my spare room, but I use it in winter these days as it is warmer. It wasn't expensive at all. I like a firm bed as I have had problems with my back in the past and I love this bed and mattress and haven't had back problems since using it. It was to self assemble but that makes getting it in and out easier and it came with the necessary tools and instructions.

5.1 this morning, been out to do a bit of shopping neither of us could decide what to eat for dinner in the end decided on chicken salad, we would have had steak but Morrisons have 20% of on Saturday so that will be tomorrows dinner, hope everyone has a lovely evening whatever your doing
