Your secret is safe with us! 😉Oops....! Posting about both the washing machine engineer and Sky coming on Monday clearly addled my brain. Please don't tell my wife 😉
Is pig's jowl otherwise known as pig's cheek? If it is then you can order it from Morrisons. I used to cook it with spices and pomegranate seeds. It was lovely. I'd forgotten about that dish, must do it again if I can get the cheeks. Why am I late today ?
earlier headed across the county to see a farmer who had yesterday had a few Pigs Butchered, I had requested something for Mrs @goodybags
this cut of pork is something not sold in the supermarket or most butchers (Pork Jowl) she wanted to make a traditional Thai dish (served in the Issan region of Thailand)
she hasn’t eaten this for years, the Jowl usually isn’t readily available unless requested from a butcher.
Well, I picked up a very nice pure cashmere jumper in a charity shop yesterday - cost a fiver! - so I'll be wearing that.put your thermals on! 😉
It’s simular but apparently the Jowel (which is the underside of the head)is more fatty and quite rich in flavour, usually it just alongside other parts of the head goes into sausages according to Mrs @goodybags, who cooked them this afternoon, there I was thinking it was going to be a complicated to cook dish, but she simply grilled them in the mini oven then sliced them up and she will eat with some special sauce as a dipIs pig's jowl otherwise known as pig's cheek? I did think of that, always good to save something! But I've not been lucky, most of the offers in my area are not my style or look a bit suspicious (e.g. they say it's free and then ask for "cash on collection" 🙄 ). And the two I did contact left me on read.Have you tried any of the selling pages or freebie pages on Facebook? Then you’d just need a new mattress. I see loads on our pages in our area quite often for free as they just want rid of them and saves them having to pay someone to take them away. Might be worth a try.
