Group 7-day waking average?

This week I am on a mission to find a bed. I went to The Range on Monday, second hand furniture shops on the next town on Wednesday, and today I'm checking the ones in the next town on the other direction. I was posting in the bus earlier and missed my intended stop! Well, no problem, there are two places I planned to see and getting down at a later stop just meant I changed the order.

First shop visited (no luck), now having lunch at a lovely place nearby before moving to the other shop. I had their soup with cheese scone before and it is good. They also gave me a little chocolate for Valentine's!
Have you tried any of the selling pages or freebie pages on Facebook? Then you’d just need a new mattress. I see loads on our pages in our area quite often for free as they just want rid of them and saves them having to pay someone to take them away. Might be worth a try. Obviously you’d need to rope in a “man with a van” ( or woman)! Good luck with your quest. And Happy 60th to your dad.

I saw the knee consultant this morning and he diagnosed the primary cause of the problem is a failed tendon repair from when I had my accident 3 years ago so the knee is completely unstable. The ligament and meniscus tears are secondary to the main issue. He proposes to reconstruct the tendon using tissue from my hamstring plus some nylon ligament. So another surgery. Even though I saw him privately, he has referred me back to the NHS for urgent surgery, a couple of months maybe, which was a relief.
I am hoping the recovery will be quicker than following the original surgery as that was dealing with a traumatic injury.

Just a quick check in whilst back in Port Canaveral and in range of cell service!

Enjoying our first ever cruise and been blessed with great weather in the Bahamas. Managing BG well and amazingly keeping in range. I think the dark rum pina coladas must be helping:rofl:.

Utopia of the Seas is an amazing ship and we are being treated like royalty by my wife’s niece who is the cruise director and her fiancé who is the Shore Excursions Manager. We are being spoiled rotten!

The ship has their own Central Park :

And the main promenade is like being in a city street!

Had a tour of the ship around engine control room, galley, stores, laundry and the bridge. Really enjoyable!

Hope everyone is ok - sorry, not had time to catch up on here!

Sending you guys some sun . . .

Good evening was 6.something this morning although the Libra sent a liw alarm @04:30 was a busy day as I needed to get out to work early today

Yesterday’s appointment at EYE department didn’t go quite as I had hoped it would
Having said that the consultant that I saw was very happy with the recent surgery (done 6 weeks ago) he confirmed it will be ok to resume treatment of the swelling on my retina of my right eye as it’s needed quite urgently

I am relieved that my next appointment under DMO clinic is just over a fortnight away now
he suggested most likely I will get another Ozurdex popped in my right eye
or possibly another corse of injections 🙄 but obviously that will be down to the team who I’m currently under…

Today has been a busy, & slightly stressful/frustrating day at work,
looking forward to the weekend especially Saturday as I’m doing something different (for me) & active
I have enrolled on MH & Wellness related program with an Introduction to WALKING FOOTBALL, was just thinking to myself 😉 I haven’t actually played football since …. I think my early teenage years

might even post a photo to prove I did it over the weekend, I've just got home and haven’t really looked through all the posts
but I see @Eternal422 has just sent us some very welcome sunshine 😎

Morning all. 5.4

Saw The Brutalist yesterday afternoon with a friend. Didn’t think it was going to be worthy of the buzz surrounding it but clearly I was wrong. Yes it’s long, no it doesn’t drag. Yes Adrian Brody and Guy Pearce are great. Cinematography is excellent.
Wasn’t expecting that bit to happen at all but it didn’t detract from my appreciation of the excellent movie making on display.

Theatre today, Richard II at Bridge Theatre.

Morning a 6.2 for me but another lovely flat night after a correction dose to prevent the 2nd Pizza response before bed.I do find that my fine tuning correction dose it works better for me( must stress for me) if I give an extra unit rather than one less to get on top of a rising BG rather than increase incrementally.
It can be a fine line and is more art than science but it does seem to work well for me and I don’t want to adjust my basal at all as that is definitely the right level for my so I keep that consistent.
Morning out and about and home in afternoon yesterday and similar today.
We are going to a nice Garden Centre near Chester and meeting 2 other couples for a meet and greet mid morning so coffee and cake and maybe lunch as well.
Lie in today and dogs walked and about to have breakfast so enjoy the w/ end

A nice round 5 for me this morning. 🙂

Dez

Morning all. 5.4 and a wee lie in for me. Was awake at 4.15 and the old internal monologue started, still awake at 5.30 but gave it one last push and next thing I knew it was 7.15. See, I can do it if I really try!

Can’t believe another weekend is here and we’re half way through February, just needs to warm up a bit, it’s blooming perishing up here. Went for a short walk yesterday, primarily to buy a bottle of wine, but also to clear our heads. The wind was bitingly cold and we both felt dizzy when we got back home into the warmth. It took me ages to warm up. But Mr Eggy soon warmed my heart by making a delicious steak dinner, and for pudding, a Mini Magnum, which cooled me down again! <3 Only 2 degrees this morning, I think thermals may be the order of the day!

No plans at all for us, time to chill a bit, perhaps. MIL’s funeral on Monday, at last, it’s been a long time coming, then maybe Mr E can finally relax.

Have a super Saturday, whatever your plans, wrap up well if you plan on leaving the house, icy blasts expected. Brrrrr!

It is more art than science
So true! I liken it to herding zombie cats.

Morning all. 8.4 here. It’s heartening / disappointing to see that even technology can’t cope with DP LOL.

I can’t get warm either @eggyg but I am a Southerner. Ski pants for the morning walk otherwise the noise of my teeth chattering’ll drown out the lovely sounds of nature. It’s lesson planning this morning, then we’re going to a nice restaurant for lunch to celebrate my 58th birthday (coming soon to a calendar near you). It was meant to be a surprise, but the restaurant kept sending my OH email reminders (we share an email address, always have done). It’s a ten-minute walk from the house, so I hope we get a break in the rain. Don’t want to make a soggy entrance!

Morning all, 4.9 here. Red wine again! (only one glass, honest, but coupled with exercise earlier)
There was a bitter wind here yesterday, horses were on their toes going out for a hack, the promised sun never quite broke through. At least it was dry, today is going to be bitter and wet.

Morning all. Another very high night and morning reading. No breakfast again today, i just can't face it. 5u correction been done.

Still the wrong side of the border with a 6.2 on this dull, grey Berkshire morning. Just me and our youngest at home for most of the day as my wife's off shortly to meet up with a couple of her friends who are taking her on a day out for her birthday, and our eldest has a ticket for Stoke v Swansea so will be heading north before lunchtime. His futsal team have an away game in Hull tomorrow so he'll be pushing on straight after the match to link up with his team at whichever hotel they're staying at.

Managed to book someone who can come and look at our washing machine on Monday. We've also got Sky coming that day to upgrade us from Sky HD to Sky Q, on top of 2 (maybe 3) WFH. Houseful on Monday then.

Congrats @mashedupmatt on this morning's HS

Morning all and 7.1 for me.

Just for a change it's grey, murky and damply cold.

Been looking at alto saxes as we are looking to do some older songs that may need one and my old one is probably not worth spending any money on to get it playable. Can't complain as it on cost £30 50 years ago. The one I'm looking at is black with gold key work. Good for a pose!

Have a good day everyone.

Morning lovely ones!

5.8 for me (BGM)
Last Dexcom sensor was a dud, changed it last night and this one has Tourettes of some sort, woken up about 5 times in the night with low alarms (wasn’t lay on it) o_O
Bit miffed really as I was enjoying the Dexcom a lot but I’m going to give a Libre a go and see how I do with that.

Hope you’re all grand, have a smashing weekend!

Morning all - grey, miserable and probably cold, but not as bad as yesterday which was wet, cold and miserable.

5.3 this morning, but then started going down, but I put a temp basal on and it seems to have levelled out.

Whoopie, have a day with no obligations, except to cook the chicken we bought on Thursday, together with all the usual roast accompaniments, and catch up with emails etc.

Congratulations to @mashedupmatt on your HS.

Hope everyone's Monday Blues have cleared off and you have a good start to the week.
@Martin.A you have me confused with your reference to Monday blues and starting the week - it's Saturday! Is Berkshire in a parallel universe?

Have a good weekend all

Yes. I was a tad confused too. @Martin.A I’m buying you and Mr Eggy this. 😛
