Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 6.6 after a huge, sudden spike overnight needing a 5u correction. The graph shows it dropped as quickly as it spiked though.

Its foggy and frosty here atm though the sky is starting to look a bit brighter so hopefully the sun will break through. I've nothing at all planned for today so i might get in the garden and start again on the tidying. Then again, i might just read my book.

11.3 whoops dont know why have not eaten anything out of ordinary
you all have a god day

Well done @Grannylorraine on your HS. I was 5.9 this morning. 🙂

Wow, morse code. I am curious why are your students learning morse code?
We're so amateur radio operators so they want to be able to speak to people around the world in morse code.

It's still very much a thing and much like vinyl records and analogue film cameras it's having something of a resurgence.

When I'm on the radio I only use morse code and often chat to people for 30 minutes or more covering everything from the weather to penguins bouncing on trampolines (can't remember how we got onto that but it happened).

It's quite hard to learn though so I'm in an organisation that teaches people so over the world via video calls etc.

I am known to sit out on the moors in all weathers doing it as well - great to get out into the hills for a bit of CW (CW is the proper term for morse code).

4.6 today for me.

Sensor change day, which is good timing as it means it will last until my second week away.

My wife is off out to meet a friend so I’ll spend the time doing some reading for my course and finalising packing.

@dannybgoode - I was really interested in hearing from some of our club members about CW and how when proficient you recognise whole words rather than translating individual letters. I suppose it makes sense as it is akin to reading. Some of the guys were also saying that they could tell different “accents” as some countries tended to have different length dots and dashes, or spaces between them.

Congratulations @Grannylorraine on your HS!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning, woken up at 6 by low glucose alarm, libre showed 3.5 with a down arrow. Realised I was lying on that arm and felt fine, so waited a minute until it started going back up.
Just woke up again and it's 8.0, a bit higher than I'd like but I did eat quite a few of those chilli peanuts last night.

Morning everyone. Enjoyed a JB earlier as my bg was 4.1 on waking today and was not planning on getting up early, always enjoy a jb.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

I recently read a fiction book about SOE operatives set in WW2 and the "interpreters"( i can't remember what they called the people who received the message here) could tell if it wasn't the correct person using the radio as everyonw has their own style of transmitting. Interesting.

Congrats to @Grannylorraine and @a live on the HSs.

5.9 on a cold and frosty Berkshire morning, and it's still not got above freezing. Highlight of the day is a trip to the recycling centre to dump 4 bags of honeysuckle and a stop at Wickes to get the gravel boards I need to put the finishing touches to our repaired fence. Still got a little more honeysuckle to bag but that can wait until it's warmed up a bit. Sun's blazing out of a clear blue sky at the moment so hopefully that'll be the case soon. Also have two packages to collect from the Amazon locker at Morrisons when I go and get the newspapers and some bits and pieces for lunch and tea. Thursday swim, too. Hmm, going to be busier than I thought this morning.

Congrats @Grannylorraine and @a live on your HSs.

Hope everyone has a good day.

5.6 here on my Caresens BG meter as I am having a short Libre break. Increased my evening Levemir by half a unit and that seems to have worked well. Think my inhaler seems to be helping.

I had a rude awakening this morning as I fell out of bed with a crash, I must have tossed and turned so much that I was right on the edge. Not easy to get up from the floor with 2 dodgy knees.
Nice and sunny but still frosty.
Hope you're ok!!

Congratulations @a live on your HS!

Good morning - nice and sunny... hubby just enthusiastically announced that it's a perfect day to wash the car.

6.4 first thing.

I'm off to St Ives on the bus to meet a friend I went to school with in Nottingham. We lost touch for 40 years and then were re-introduced by a work colleague of mine who was her next door neighbour! We now meet up for lunch about every 3 months or so.

Congratulations @Grannylorraine and @a live on your HSs.

Very interesting stuff about Morse Code... see you learn something every day in this thread!

@Elenka_HM I'll be honoured to cook with @eggyg for your reception!

Have a good day all!
