Group 7-day waking average?

8.2 for me have been out of sorts last few days with cold can that affect BG levels?
You all have a good day and take care love to all
gail
Any illness can impact levels. Mine can go way out of kilter before I’m even aware I’m ill.

We bank with the NatWest and on the very rare occasion we receive a cheque we just have to take a photo of it on our banking app. And voila! It’s paid in. Blooming amazing. But obviously that’s why all the branches are closing, we don’t need them anymore.
I am with RBS but that is owned by Nat West Group so that is branch I will go to.Like most I do all my banking digitally but as I only have a Works phone ( got a brand new one yesterday) I don’ t like downloading lots of Apps just use my Apple wallet.
The cheque is for a reasonable amount hence happy to travel a few miles and will tie it in with a coffee shop visit. The last time I went I was a bit shocked as there were no tills or screens just a lady stood at a desk. She was surrounded by charity stands and a Citizens Advice Service etc and this is a town of 50,000 people. I thought I had gone to the wrong place lol.

Morning all. 7.2 here - the Omnipod 5’s standard a.m. reading!

Plumber coming to look at the bathroom, measure, give quote, etc this morning. Then lesson planning and admin - not all day tho. I need to have some fun! Diabetes is a pain, whatever treatment regime I’m on. I need to phone the surgery too - they’ve taken my BG and ketone strips off my prescription, sigh.

Morning all, 6.1 here.
In theory, we can do that with our bank too, @eggyg , only I can never get a photo of the cheque that’s acceptable to the App, even after trying the worktop, the table, and crawling round the kitchen floor.
Yep Robin when I first started to do my expenses I struggled as we have to photograph every receipt which is OK but we have to have it in a certain form so JPG/PDF/etc to be able to upload it.It was converting my photo into a suitable firm that I struggled with but once I find a way then I am fine.
So I have to take the photo with my personal I Pad then send it to my works Laptop where I can convert it so I can upload. My colleagues use an App and can do it much quicker and although I use some Apps I just dint like doing it all on my phone.

Morning all, up early today as I've got a hospital appointment at 09.30.

Anyway, it was a 7.7 for me today. Have a good one folks.

Ah yes, if it’s over a certain amount it won’t let you do it. Mr Eggy got a substantial tax refund a couple of years ago and we actually had to visit a branch!

Some of my receipts are so long they are like toilet rolls as if I have a big Meeting then I can have over 100 different items so I have to cut and line up the pieces to get it all in one photo.

:rofl:Been there done that! Luckily, cheques are few and far between these days.

Morning all. 8.2. I'm meeting an ex colleague this morning for a coffee and catch up. Looking forward to that as i've missed working with her, we used to have a giggle.

@eggyg

This made me chuckle, my infantile humour.
He has a number two every fortnight whether he needs one or not! o_O

5.4 for me on a rather dull and grey morning and it's going to be a wet day if the forecast is right. Just as well I've finished fixing our fence, then.

Friday is Big Shop day, so that'll take up a chunk of the morning, and I'll also accompany my wife, a Cinnamon Trust volunteer, when she does her Friday dog walk for an elderly lady who's unable to do it herself. Our local Lions are running one of their regular Quiz Nights tonight, this time at our nearby Community Centre, so we've rounded up some friends and entered a team.

As for banks, we've lost our Nat West (currently being converted into apartments), Lloyds (planning permission granted for it to be converted into apartments) and Barclays in the past 12 months but my bank, HSBC, is still here.

Have a good day, everyone.

Morning All - another gorgeous frosty clear day today so I'm off out for a dog walk with a local friend. We're doing the loop (about 2.5 miles) but the trouble is she lives one ½ way round and I live the other ½ way round so we'll only actually walk ½ together. She's got 6 or 7 dogs so it's an experiment to see how Wilbur (boxer) gets on with them. She's actually leaving her male dog at home because he's tired from a big walk they did yesterday so that might make things easier. I know hers will all be off-lead but Wilbur will be firmly on his as if he catches a scent of a deer (or sheep) he'll be off. We've got brother & sister in law coming to stay for the weekend with their two working cockers so will be full on with Elsa the puppy here too, but fun I'm sure. Hubby and his twin brother are having a zoom call with their newly found ½ siblings in America tonight. His Dad walked out on them and their mother when they were six months old and they never heard another word from him (Mark's 58 now). We found out last year that he'd died and then by doing a bit of on-line searching of obituary etc found that he'd had two children. Anyway - we didn't take it further in case they didn't know about Mark and Pat and sure enough a hand written letter arrived last week (sent via a company that Mark's on the board of which is how they found him) and turns out that their Dad (Mark's Dad) died in 2021 and last month their Aunt told them about their ½ siblings in the UK. They are really excited to talk to the twins but I think it must be very strange for them as surely it's made them see their beloved Dad in a different light, knowing that for their whole lives he'd kept such a big thing from them. Or maybe he just blocked it out of his mind as I can't see any other way he could live for another 57 years and not be curios about his two boys. Anyway - if you've read all that, well done! Hope you have a lovely weekend xxx

A 5.5 for me today. 🙂

Morning gang!

A busy day ahead for me too @Quill , and a 5.3 to start me off.

Have a great Friday, and a smashing weekend everyone.

8.9 On a white sky morning with intermittent sunshine. This reading would have been lower had I not had a Carb-fuelled snack at midnight!

My banking is largely digital with a bank visit every few months, my OH can't do digital as she's largely number-dyslexic and finds numbers difficult - she has to do hers in person, over the counter, and with our bank closing its doors' in September, she's going to have to use a hub which fills me with horror!

I can tell my wife has awakened - and is asking if anyone has a 'Bucket of Blue Sparks for her Grinder. I could work magic with a glass hammer|!

Morning after having a huge dollop of mash with evening meal had to do take a 2u correction before bed and was in 5s most of night but 5.5 when first woke up,8.2 when actually got out of bed with bit of DP and 7.3 a few minutes ago after back from walking dogs so take your pick.
My TIR had ticked up to 99% but then my relapse spoilt it 🙂.
WFH today which suits me fine and maybe a local trip out as not decided yet. I have a cheque to pay in which happens about twice a year so may have a trip to my local branch in the next town rather than just pay into the ATM.
Anyway w/ end soon so have a great one.
My bank walk me to pay cheques into the machine in bank, they won't do over counter.
