Morning all - no change in the weather.
6.8 this morning. I was woken by the PDM alarm at 8:15 which told me that I had an "Omnipod 5 app error" and said if it happened again to ring customer services. It sounded a bit dire and as it was the 2nd time it happened I was somewhat disturbed and couldn't even think of going back to sleep. Bit annoyed as I had not got to bed until gone 1am due to watching "Girl with a dragon tattoo" on TV rather than catch-up. To cut a long story short I rang Insulet and for once got someone who could speak reasonable English. It seems the error is not as dire as the warning and it's the pod rather than the PDM and I might have had to remove the pod, which is due to be changed this morning anyway. I wish they wouldn't put the frighteners up you!
Anyway, last night's chicken, leek and bacon pie was delicious, especially the suet puff pastry... am chuffed to bits to have found the pastry recipe! We have half the pie left over for dinner tonight.
It's a big day in Penzance today, being Montol - or the celebration of the winter solstice. Lots of parades with lanterns and flaming torches after dark and madness and foolery taking place all over town with people in weird outfits . We're going to meet our friends in town this afternoon. We will watch our friend singing in her choir outside the Turks Head pub at 5:30 then I think we will come home and avoid the crowds.
@eggyg I so envy you that garlic, the stuff in the supermarkets recently has been dire. I also wish you a lovely party this evening and I am sure that as usual you will love having the granddaughters overnight. Glad Mr eggy doesn't have to visit hospital this weekend as MIL has other sons taking the load off him.
@MeeTooTeeTo congratulations on the HS.
Have a super Saturday everyone and most important have fun!
