Group 7-day waking average?

A round 5 this morning. 🙂

Dez

5.4 this morning

Morning all. 4.0 dropped to 3.7 while i was looking!

I need to hang out the washing, put dinner in the slow cooker and get leaves up in the garden. There is a massive tree at the back of our house and the leaves only ever end up in our garden it seems. This afternoon we have some friends coming round which will be nice. We hardly see them since they retired, they are here, there and everywhere!

Have a good Sunday everyone.

7.4 early doors. 🙂 I'm skint so on a high carb week. How come cheap nasty food ie white bread and potatoes plus marge 😳 is always high carb. :( Roll on Friday. 🙂 I'll have to be ultra good next week and stop being feckless. Spent grocery money on a bookcase. As if I need another bookcase! :(

What does one do about an enlarged spleen?

5.5 on a rather cool Berkshire morning - fridge temperature when I went to get a newspaper from the Shell station down the road. Just me up so far but I expect our eldest will be up shortly as his futsal team are at home today for their first league fixture and he'll need to be over at Bradfield College early. I won't be going to watch this week as my wife's away and I don't drive other than locally these days.

Nothing special on the cards for today. Don't know yet when my wife will be home, don't know yet when our eldest will be home and don't know yet what time his girlfriend's getting here. Nothing I can do about any of it so I'm just going to make myself a coffee and settle down with the Sunday paper.

@Ditto - there are multiple reasons for a spleen becoming enlarged so the best person to ask is your GP.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Morning a 4.9 for me after 6 slices of pizza and a lunch out and a very nice line overnight and simply down to sweeping up of leaves and more walking.
This weather is perfect for encouraging me to do stuff and it means I can eat what I want and still be happy with BG levels. No doubt I do much better when I actively manage my situation and usually only go awry when I get single focused on another task that I just forget to manage my BG.
Another lunch out with family so do like the current lifestyle and looking forward to trip to National Arboretum on way down and Shrewsbury on way back.
Have a good day all.

On this Marvellous (but chilli) Morning looks like I’m joining @Martin.A on the 5.5 step today

Yesterday afternoon Mrs G & I went over to RushdenLakes
following some clothes shopping (for some considerably smaller sized clothes) had coffees & cakes

I was halfway good with my choice though, buttered fruit scone (without the extras)
Mrs @goodybags had had a slice of chocolate cake, and insisted on me having a mouthful of her cake, although TBH it was actually quite sickly
using CGM I can see straight away how these things affect me, yesterday that spiked me from 5.6 to 14 before dropping back but not until 3 hours later
shudder to think back when I was constantly eating and then usually poor choice of foods it’s no wonder I ended up with a HbA1c of over 100 back then, and did the damage to some of my organs that I did,

Todays list of tasks include
re set up the remote controller of the central heating, despite being a few more weeks away from the clocks changing we’ve both decided it needs to be on, wash and hoover my car, shovel up what looks like tons of moss that’s recently been washed of the roof of the bungalow (guess will need to check the gutters) and if I get some me time later - go for a swim / relax over at Virgin

Hoping everybody has a Super Smashing Sunday
TC 😎

Morning and 7.0 for me.

It's dry again after yesterday's deluge.

No Def plans for today. Must be time for a brew.

Who mentioned black tutus? A good match for my para boots.

Have a good day everyone.

5.7 this morning and, dare I say it, starting to feel a little bit better.

Day 9 of being ill, this is a really rough virus. My wife’s aunt we stayed with in Ireland also has the same virus, coming down with it on our last day there, and she tested for Covid which was negative. We decided not to bother as it wouldn’t change our behaviour at all, just staying in drinking lots of fluids, regular paracetamol etc. Trouble is it means we haven’t be able to go over to my parents, thankfully they are ok and don’t need anything urgently. Hoping we will be well enough mid week next week to get over to them.

Take care everyone!

Morning all, well after a 5.2 yesterday it's a 5.1 this morning.

Have a good day folks and stay safe.
.

Afternoon all - grey again, but yesterday turned out beautiful after a grey start. So much so that we had most of the windows open.

10.0 this morning due to correcting a hypo an hour earlier. It quickly dropped to 6.4. As this is a new sensor I checked it against my BG meter which was 6.2. More than happy with that accuracy.

Was up early today but have been mega occupied with getting ready for friends who are coming for lunch at 1pm. Now everything is ready to go. Drinks first with some nibbles and then sit down at 1:45. Prawn cocktail to start (bit of a cop out) and then Duck confit with roast potatoes, parsnips, cauli & broccoli cheese and creamed spinach. I hope my dessert, low carb flourless chocolate and rum cake, is OK. It looks OK anyway. Then a selection of French cheeses which are well stinky (brought them home from France with us)

I'm sure I saw someone with an HS, if it was you then congrats!

I have noticed that @TinaD has been AWOL for almost 10 days, I do hope she is alright.

Have a super Sunday everyone.

Room for one more? Sounds delicious. Could i have the recipe for the chocolate and rum cake please?

4.7 today started with a bit of Christmas shopping, I always end up with a load of stocking fillers for my daughter even though she is 27 she loves opening lots of treats and living at home she is still just as excited and loves Christmas.

Reading from 8.30 this morning (just late posting!): 5.9

Just a quiet Sunday. Church this morning, Sunday Dinner (I made double cream/arrowroot Yorkies which tasted just like the real thing but no wheat to upset my blood sugar - the boys agreed they were acceptable and had 3 each!! I was planning to save some for tomorrow and maybe make something sweet with them! Teenage and 20-something men folk put paid to that!)

Just about to pop across to my parents (20 min drive) for a cuppa and catch up.

Hope everyone's Sundays has been good so far.

Freesia, just Google "Torta Barozzi, Delicious magazine". I would post the link by it's very long and I can't copy on my phone. One friend had 3 helpings!!

Morning all. 6.4.

Very chilly morning, barely above freezing. Forecast is fantastic, sunny and cold, perfect for the walking day we’ve got planned. We’re going to finish off walking The Ullswater Way. We did the east side pre lockdown, Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, that almost ended with us missing the last steamer back, I injured my knee tripping over a tree root and it slowed us right down. But we made it by the skin of our teeth. Today, we have a cunning plan. Park at Pooley Bridge, bus to Glendinning and walk back. That way we can do it at our own pace. Should be a good day, I absolutely love Ullswater, the views will be spectacular. Supposed to be 11.5 miles, we always go wrong so might be more! I’ll report back tomorrow if I’ve survived! 😉

Have a Happy Monday.

Good moaning! Not happy with 10.2. Puzzlingly went up +3 about 3:00am and stayed there having come down from -10 before bed.Last day of antibiotics. They are really messing my stomach - just hope they have killed infection.

No appointments till Wednesday.

Raining!
