Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all - 8.3 on waking and 7.2 before breakfast. Our family visitors left this morning. It was lovely having them to stay. Because we used to live quite close to them (15 or so miles) they never needed to stay so we just used to have day visits but this was lovely spending quality time with them. And it was SO lovely how well the dogs all got on. Now for the washing and getting ready for our lot coming home - first batch tomorrow at the same time as our new kitchen curtains being put up which will be lovely for Christmas. I've managed to get a sports therapy session tomorrow for my painful derriere so really hoping that helps a bit as driving is excruciating after only about 10 minute and end of next week I have a 7 hour journey up to Scotland but at least I'll be a passenger so can change positions a bit. @eggyg sending lots of love. Have a great day everyone xxx

PS: started my Christmas wrapping last night 🙂

PPS: @Pattidevans was that lovely video card you posted the other day a paid for one?
Hope you get your “derrière” sorted. I know exactly how you feel. The drive to and from the hospital yesterday was agony, my back still isn’t right, and it’s only 20 minutes each way. Maybe purchase a rubber ring, I had one after a forceps birth nearly 40 years ago and it was a life saver.

Afternoon! Late posting as had early start for Foot Clinic. Will update My Poorly Leg thread later. Now waiting for transport home.

Woke spot on 9.0 but dropped to 7.3 after rushing to wash and dress before breakfast! Now 4.5 with down arrow but my new friend had got me a free lunch!

Well, I’m joining @eggyg and @Grannylorraine with a 5.2 this morning! Congratulations to my fellow HSers!

@eggyg - so sorry to read of your appointment and all the passing around everyone is doing to you! I didn’t even realise there was a specific upper and lower GI consultant, sounds a recipe to bounce patients back and forth! Really hope you get the right care you need without being given such an awful run around!

For all those suffering at the moment, take care and hope you feel better soon!

Take care everyone!
And don’t forget the gastroenterologists, they’re not surgeons apparently, but deal with gastric things!

In the recent Crohn's flare up OH was seen by both surgical and medical gastro consultants, some co-operation as well as differing opinion as to what constituted low residue/low fibre, one said jelly and ice cream fine but not soup and the other one exactly the opposite.

Oh dear. I try and follow a low residue diet, I figured it out for myself eventually, but it’ll be interesting to see what the dietician will suggest. I must say I don’t hold out much hope.
PS soup is fine for me as long as it’s blended. I don’t eat jelly and ice cream for obvious reasons, but I think milk/cream products are fine on the whole. It’s all been trial and error for me with no advice from anyone. My GP just said I was beyond his remit!

Have you done a lateral flow test? It sounds very much like I was with Covid a couple of weeks ago
I haven't although since i got to work this morning i've started with a full blown cold. Sneezing, runny nose, watery itchy eyes, the lot :(. The last few days high numbers and the tiredness must have been down to the cold starting. I've stayed in target most of today so thats one thing (though i've probably jinxed it now). Anyway, i'm home, dosed myself up and am going to lie on the sofa and doze.

I hope you are ok now @rebrascora

Sounds like how I was with Covid. Hope you feel better soon. Yes, I am fully over it now thanks.

Me too when Hamish was born! I thought nothing of carrying around and using it in public - I suppose all dignity had gone out of the window in the delivery room

This was when he was in hospital in the first few days before they allowed him some soft foods. He is not diabetic and at home usually is fine with most foods. He had been eating a lot of prunes and All Bran as he has been suffering from constipation. The GP said to use lactalose which seems to be effective.

Good very early morning everyone. Been up since 1:30am

BG 5.5 sore throat seems to be easing slightly

Today the formal carol service practice followed later by the carol service itself. Wish me luck. Carols can be tough to play. We will be singing about 10 carols finishing with 'O come all ye faithful' on a full pipe organ (ok it is just my electronic keyboard but the pipe organ sound is very good). My favourite (with a very mellow pipe organ sound) is 'In the bleak mid winter'. Actually they are all my favourites!

(I wish... )

And the reality? Well, not quite...

Other than that the day will be quiet and restful. Yeh right! I may manage a walk this afternoon too but it depends on how things pan out. Getting my meals at reasonably correct times may be a bit challenging today. Getting them at all may be challenging.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing.

Morning good folks. Thought I’d be first up, a nice round 5.

Reduced my overnight and daytime basal by a half unit as I’ve been hypo during breakfast and just before lunch everyday this week, don’t know why, as I’m stressed to death and haven’t done any exercise. I’ve also dropped my 1 unit bolus correction for FOTF this morning. My TIR for the last seven days is now 94%, it’s usually 95/96%, but overall over 90 days it’s 95% so I really shouldn’t grumble.

Got a(nother) busy day. Hence the early hour, I want to be in Aldi for no later than 8am, there’s no other day I can, or want to, do the final food shop. We’ve to be at eldest daughter’s for 11 as her and her hubby are going to a funeral, in Scotland, so we’re looking after the girls, Sadie has a party at 3pm, so one of us will take her. I’ll most likely spend most of the day cleaning the farm house, as I always do when I go, they have very busy lives and surrounded by sh*t, cows, sheep, dogs, horses, cats, chickens, so the housework gets neglected/ doesn’t exist! Daughter says she can hear my eyes rolling when we’re driving down the lonning! The wellies are in the car, and that’s just for walking around the house! I’m joking, kind of. Just hope I’m not expected to birth a calf, they have 3/4 cows waiting to give birth! 🙄

Have a good day. Four more sleeps.

Good morning everyone! A 5'2, yay!

On the way to work already. Too early for my liking but not moaning today, I managed to go to sleep early-ish and I'm in a good mood. I'm expecting to get my Christmas bag, something I look forward to even tho this year my colleagues already spoilt the surprises of the content. Another colleague said yesterday he will brings us some biscuits for our morning tea, nice!

After breakfast shift we are having a staff Christmas lunch, I don't remember going other years. We have the proper party night in January but this is a nice extra. And later I'm not working and I just found out there's a carol singing event in front of a church in the area. I went last year and enjoyed it, got a bit emotional and all! So looking forward to all the festive things today, might not have the best 25th but I'm trying and making the most of the run up!

Good morning - 5.5 at 6:00

Today’s the last full day, tomorrow is a half day with a house Christmas assembly plus a church service. We go back on the 4th January. I don’t know if anyone actually counts that as enough to be a break.

Anyway, have a great day everyone

Morning all. 5.2! Not sure how i managed that though libre shows a long hypo which i didn't wake for (maybe it was a compression low). I feel a bit better today (atm anyway). I'll still dose up today but hopefully the worst of it is over.

@eggyg i'm sure you would have no problem birthing a calf , you'd just roll your sleeves up and get on with it.

@Elenka_HM congrats to my fellow HSer.

@Lily123 that is definitely not a long enough break. We finish 3pm tomorrow but don't go back until 8th.

Morning

5.1 today, a walk later and doing the grandkids Christmas Eve boxes today, oh and work. Got my Christmas cake rocky road made to give to my daughter in law, so only the pastry and mince pies to make before the big day.

@Elenka_HM - congratulations on your HS, 2 days in a row.

@eggyg - I am doing housework on Friday after work if you want to come and help. No calf’s to birth here.

@freesia - congratulations on your HS.

Morning all, 7.2 here. After a week in the 5s, but dipping into the red overnight the last couple of nights, I reduced basal by another half unit. Looks like I didn’t need to!
Having complained the other day about Classic FM playing the same carols over and over, they played some really nice ones on the radio yesterday, and a bit from The Messiah. They must read the forum!
Hope the Carol playing goes well today,@Gwynn .

GoodMorning 6.9 today
