Group 7-day waking average?

Not a great day yesterday!

06:20 BS 4.2 & not enough wriggle room as it was hypo territory by the time I dinged a quick microwave beef stew & dumplings, (oriental & western being completely different with one meat, vegetables or prawns in won ton pastry parcels steamed, in soup or with noodles & the other flour dumplings to go in stews or casseroles respectively), & eating it so, had NR after breakfast.

Yesterday about the same time ish BS 9.6.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’ve been stressed, anxious, worried, confused by unexplained high BS & then, all a sudden my BS is dropping today!

Yesterday was the third day of 52 basal & by the time midday came around my high BS was making me seriously stick it up to 54 BUT, held off on it to see what the 3rd day would do? As it turned out it was just as well I did BUT, it was another high BS day UNTIL after 1am this morning that BS was out of the double digits & into the 8’s 01:08 BS 8.8. Then, it fell further I thought at a reasonable rate & FINALLY went to bed. Only got about 1.5 to 2 hours of sleep though, to wake low & into hypo territory even though I ate straight away! Yesterday was max 60NR all day & this morning I only gave it 40NR & I’ve been keeping a close eye on it as it)# borderline fine & COULD go too low 09:17 just past the 2 hour mark BS 9.7 with a diagonal arrow down: around 10mml is where I would normally be so, 10 or 9 is borderline; hopefully I WON’T go hypo?

I’m telling you, I’m not getting much sleep! I was worrying about insulin going off, pending cycle with nothing showing up & ALMOST wishing it would as it would explain something, been bending my needles for some reason & getting quite a few blocked needles from this newly opened box of needles yesterday they seem finer than using & every one, that wasn’t blocked, came out bent so, I was worrying whether I got ANY or HOW MUCH insulin actually went in me? I’ve been doubting & questioning this & that, round & round my head!

Just now as I sign off for some more MUCH NEEDED SLEEP, 09:35 BS 9.7 with a flat arrow! Which gives me bit less anxiety about hypoing as the drop is flattening out: flat arrow; it’ll still drop until active NR is past but, hopefully with flat arrows?

I’ll catch up at SOME point: can’t say WHEN; trying to catchup on sleep! A Stream Of Z’s emoji!

Morning 7.7 when first got up but now a more respectable 5.6 so had breakfast later than usual.
Quiet day yesterday but we both need a bit of sleep to catch up so a lie in and off to garden centre soon for coffee and then 2nd helping of Pizza from last nights offering.
Need a shower now so in a little hurry so will end now.
Enjoy w/ end all

Morning all and a glorious one it is too. Today is the day of the village fete, so most grateful for a nice day. Friends are coming over from town to show solidarity and afterwrds are invited to ours for wine and cheese.

5.3 this morning and a flat line.

Ahh? I’m quite wired: wired AND tired; not a good combo! And was thinking I’ll change to another box of needles since I just got another two boxes at the end of July. I then, noticed that the box says 31G 6mm when they’re usually 28G. I remember reading somewhere that the higher the number; the finer the needle? And the two other bixes are also 31G when they were always 28G before. They LOOK noticeably finer & they come out bent! I don’t know if I bent them going in, bent them from the pressure of pushing in the insulin & it does feel more pressure than usual or bent them coming out? Typically, it’s the weekend so, have to wait until Monday to ring up my health centre & ask about going back on the 28G needles as I’m used to using those & I’m bending these finer ones!

Just rang my chemist to see if they’ll change the needles but, they can’t without a prescription so, I’ll have to call the health centre on Monday! Yes, I asked the pharmacist & 31G needles are finer but, apparently all this year, since January, my prescriptions have been the 31G so, they were changed without me noticing as I definitely remember using, & seeing them on the boxes, 28G!

It’ll have to wait til Monday but, I’ll switch boxes anyway as quite a few from that box are blocked straight off the bat. Also, try pushing in insulin more slowly so, the pressure isn’t so much?

Morning all. A 4.9 for me on this bright sunny day...

Have a great day folks, and stay well.

We have solid wood worktops, had them about seven years, we have utterly failed in the maintenance. They looked very lived in! Make sure no one puts hot pans and or their lids on it, or very wet things! I have some "lovely" large rings decorating mine! As Mr Eggy's says, "It's a working kitchen!"
thanks for the tips to be honest it wasn't my choice hubby and daughter wanted them, daughter has promised to keep up with the maintenance but mums having to foot the bill for all the oil, they cost £700 to begin with ive bought 2 tins of the oil they recommended which were £60.

6.3 for me this morning no idea why, anyway we now have a leaking sink so its another trip to screw fix for a bit of pipe work to put it right, the units on the lower back wall are 2 cms to high so they need lowering, my hubby and daughters boyfriend both measured up and hubby was right so now that's going to take most of the day to sort out, they put a couple of doors on and I nearly had a fit as they look blue then realised they have a protective film on them.

Good afternoon folks. The sun is out again and the first lot of visitors have left along with the labradors. Betty, our cat should show up later today. BG was 7.7 this morning. Last night's dinner was roasted chicken thighs with salad and 4 potato wedges, followed by a small slice of chocolate gateau. Same carbs roughly as the previous night. The only difference was eating 2 hours earlier.

All the pears picked now but need to ripen a bit more before scratting and pressing for perry. May save the best ones for bottling. All the plums are ready now so another jam making session. Honey is now jarred. 23 jars altogether plus 3 bottles of honey vodka and a bottle of honey spiced rum.
Enjoy your weekend folks and hugs to anyone not feeling great .20250809_082255.jpg20250809_082304.jpg

Good afternoon was 5.1 this morning

TC & have a Super Smashing Saturday

I see you that and raise you the first sofa I ever bought. It was upholstered in silk. White silk.
That made me laugh. About 20 years ago I went to Turkey with my sister. Of course we got roped into visiting a carpet factory. Spookily enough we were after a rug as we’d just put a wooden floor in our living room. I decided to buy a beautiful, mostly cream, real wool rug, £500, it was shipped home six weeks later. I absolutely loved it, still do, and no one was allowed to walk on it, or eat or drink anywhere near it. Two years later I had to go into hospital for my big op and I told the family I was taking it with me! I was petrified it was going to be ruined whist I was away! Seven grandchildren later it’s had everything, and I really mean everything, trodden and or smeared in to it, but after a wash with olive oil soap it always comes up a treat. How long did your white silk sofa last? Bet it’s not 20 years like my rug.

The worst thing I’ve found is anything cast iron, or unglazed crockery. Otherwise you’ll be surprised how resilient it is. I only use hot soapy water to clean it. No harsh cleaning sprays.
First photo. Here’s one of my circles, caused by my Aldi fake Le Cruset.
Second photo. This is my peninsular as I call it, not an island. This is in good condition as I don’t prep things here and it doesn’t get wet. It’s still in very good condition.
