Group 7-day waking average?

Still full of cold. 8.3

And I’m pleased boobs not books made you all giggle! (I noticed the error in predictive text but let it pass as it made me laugh too and I’ve a reputation to maintain!)

Good moaning from Boris and me! 11.8 after a restless night with phantom pain. Just taken more painkillers and hope I can get a few hours. Wonder if all the stress over transport issues and missed appointments is aggravating things?!
Maybe train Boris to drive?!

(I’m full of good ideas!)

Excellent idea, with eight arms he would never need to take his hands (two, three or four of them) off the wheel to work the sound system, air con, etc. He needs to grow a bit but he could then act as an assistance spider. I should have thought of it before!
Do it!

Then post about it on the web.

Morning

6.2 maybe the bit of my sons’s garlic bread that I ate last night, off for a run this morning with the group doing our Christmas jumper breakfast, so run first then breakfast with our Christmas jumpers on. Got SW Christmas party tonight, but not sure if I will be going, just not feeling it, although it will be a waste of the sparkly top I bought.

Morning all. 7.3 and a unicorn.

In Coniston in a lovely old former farm workers cottage. It’s the best cottage we’ve had this year. Huge kitchen and bathroom and very clean. But best of all it doesn’t have anyone else’s sugar, rock hard coffee and half bottles of oil lying around. My absolute bugbear, I don’t want leftovers thank you very much. Yuk! Anyhoo, it’s been snowing, it looks beautiful. Today I’m going to attempt a walk around the village and down to the lake. Back a bit achy today but I’m sure once I’m moving it’ll improve. I won’t be climbing up the Old Man ( no, not Mr Eggy @ColinUK ) today. Maybe later on in the week.

Have a good day all.

This is my view from the back door. I don’t know what that fell is but I will endeavour to find out. Mr Eggy’s got an app for that!

****Edited to add its Yew Pike.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4

Already practicing at 7am. Why is 'Hark the herald' so difficult to play? So many chord changes. On every syllable. Aghhh! Only another 14 carols to practice today.

It was another energy saving evening with our energy supplier yesterday evening. 4pm to 6:30pm. We had to wait for tea at around 7:15pm. My wife was really hungry by then but we had fish and chips...M&S battered Cod....soooo good. So quick to cook too.

News flash....

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 🙂 4.8 here.

Oo, it’s chilly. I nipped down to the chemist’s about half 4 yesterday afternoon and could’ve done with a bobble hat, twas well nippy. At least it’s dry n sunny too. 😎

7.5 this morning and -7ºC outside last night (according to my phone but not sure how accurate that is). Had both our stoves going last night and cuddling the dogs. Our gas tank is only on 10% so I'm starting to get nervous but my son's coming to stay with some friends tonight on route to Harris so I need to get the bedrooms warmed up as they're baltic. Hubby currently sunning himself in Oz. My Libre graph showed a nice flat line all night in the green and I'm really pleased that the GP was really pleased with my stats yesterday when I showed her. My TIR has changed dramatically over the last 14 days and green is now very much in the lead. Have a lovely day everyone and stay warm. @eggyg glad you're cottage has come up trumps. That's one thing I'm always very clear about with our cottage on Harris that absolutely no leftovers stay around - it's horrible and no-one wants a ½ used stock cube. I've just realised I won't be able to wave at you tomorrow when we drive past on our way to the Advent Carol Service at Carlisle Cathedral - Oh well, I'll wave at the McVities factory instead 😉

Morning all. 3.9 so off to get breakfast. Christmas shopping today and lunch out.

Don’t wave at the biscuit factory you’ve gone too far, you’ll miss the service!
We have a beautiful catherdral, we were there earlier in the year for a candlelight classical concert, it was glorious. Although I am fully paid up member of the atheist club I do like to visit a cathedral wherever I go. Enjoy the service.

5.3 this morning, which is good as I doubt I was under 130g carb for yesterday having eaten out for both lunch and dinner. Waddesdon Manor trip yesterday was well worth it, although it was bitterly cold on the light trail through the woods. No frost here this morning but it was a little misty when I got up and still is. Weather forecast says there's an outside chance we'll wake up to snow tomorrow morning.

Planning a day at home today, unless we pop into town, as we were out for most of yesterday and will be again tomorrow, and on Monday when we go Xmas shopping. Have chosen Winchester this year as we haven't been there there since the pandemic.

Enjoy the start to the weekend.

Good morning. 6.3

Very hard frost last night but a pretty morning. Not sure I like the look of that big bulgy cloud - if it lets go I'll be shovelling my way to the animals...

Dropped into the local Red Cross yesterday - alas no game cookbooks but got a 2 Fat Ladies to add to my shelves, a Patrick O'Brian and a 500 piece jigsaw for £4. Excellent value I thought which, of course, justifies the rather large amount I wil doubtless expend on Amazon later today.

Does the biscuit factory still have an impressive chimney? Mum always said that, in 1944, when she was in labour for 3 days with my brother (always an awkward s.o.b) that was all she could see out of her window by way of distraction.

@Martin.A Waddesdon is beautiful. I’ve not been there for about 40 years or so.
Only place that I’ve been that was even vaguely comparable is Biltmore.
