Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all - glorious day again.

14.2 which is really out of order. Low alarm went off in the wee hours - it was 4.2 and not really that low - and not only did I eat a Dextrose I put a -30% basal on for 1.5 hours which was seriously ill-advised, but try telling anyone half asleep and majorly irritated by the alarm that!

Lovely cloud @eggyg and I must look out for Aldi duck legs.

Welcome @Garryayling to our mad coffee morning.

Congratulations @Lily123 on your HS.

Not a lot on today so a day of rest in the garden, just as well as I have a busy week coming up - with lots of socialising!

Good morning 8.1 today
yesterday was 6.9 as was Friday

We did loads of unpacking & sorting out yesterday, we’ve been sleeping in our bungalow for 10 days now
and slowly getting a bit organised, whist singing living in a cardboard box…

The bungalow is far from finished but quite comfortable the flooring is being fitted tomorrow which will be good.

I’m in hospital tomorrow, for my long awaited ankle fusion surgery
I should be getting my ankle fettled / fixed then let out of hospital following a three night stay, I’ve never looked forward to surgery but after what this ankle has put me through the last few years I am.

Have a fabulous day everybody 😎
Good wishes for the surgery and a quick return to full mobility.

5.4 when woken this morning at 6am by the grandchildren

Had a lovely day yesterday with them at Legoland Discovery Centre in Birmingham. They both had a great time there and were so well behaved all day. Starting to feel a bit like @eggyg with grandchildren duties! Quite looking forward to doing more once we retire!

Today was a bit of a blur and, I admit, a little afternoon snooze to catch up after today’s early start:rofl:

@Lily123 - congratulations on your HS, enjoy (?) @ColinUK ’s house!

@goodybags - great to hear that the bungalow is coming on well and starting to get straight. Good luck with your operation!

@Garryayling - welcome to this thread, enjoy the fun!

Hope everyone had a good day and enjoyed some sunshine!

Had an amazing weekend off from kids, went to a big event for a game I play - decided to mostly pretend I'm not type 2 diabetic for the weekend too... Lots of beer and cakes and carby food that I wouldn't normally eat (but also a lot of walking). I forget the exact morning reading on Friday (think it was 5.something) but Saturday was 5.6 and this morning was 6.0. I had planned to put my Libre2 on earlier in the week, let it settle in then start it 12-24 hours later and hope it would behave so I could track the actual effect of the eating and drinking over the weekend, just for information, but I kept forgetting to do it and didn't want to put it in and start it on Friday. I may use the glucose treatment sachets that I got sent free a few months ago with the glucose meter strip testing fluid tomorrow to do a home "oral glucose tolerance test" after the extra carby weekend though.

I hope it works out for you, 2 people I know have had it done, 1 on both feet 5 months apart with great success, was given boots to wear once the plaster came off, but the other feels it is worse than before and is still in a lot of pain after 7 months but was given nothing to wear after the plaster came off to help.

Good morning. 5.6.

Lots of marginal and in pond planting to do today after yesterday's trip to Pembrokeshire. Pity they aren't all as easy as the water soldier I was able to fling in last night. Sadly the nursery had very few free floaters. Hope it isn't as hot today - I was obliged to eat icecream on my return so I have no idea why I am back in the 5s. Neighbour kindly coming over to mow lawns so place will be ready for inspection when the family turn up at the weekend.

Have a good day all.

Morning all. 5.7.

Another promising day weather wise. Yesterday was just right for gardening, a bit of cloud every now and then. Willow tree has had a good haircut, pulled all the blooming bluebells out, they’ll be back next year no doubt. Pots repaired and emptied, and awaiting some bedding plants. That won’t be today as it’s childcare day. A trip to the river beckons, throw some sticks off the bridge and see the cows. Then walk home via the farm to see Buttons the donkey, who will try to take a bite out of Mr Eggy as usual. Zara thinks this is hilarious!

@goodybags hope everything goes well today with your ankle op.

Have a Happy Monday everyone. 😎

Good morning everyone

all good

I need to get out for a longer walk today.

Hot pot yesterday (and we will have it today and tomorrow) was really good. Could have done with a smidgen more salt tho.

My eye is a lot better. Borderline bad enough to go to see GP. Not sure.

My wife seems to be enjoying painting her sewing room.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing
