Group 7-day waking average?

7.2 on meter, a flat 3.3 on sensor this morning. looks like i dehydrated again, or my sensor is still cross with yesterdays vitC. Will drink a couple litres of water then check again

Good day all. I miss posting in this thread, I'm going on ebay to see if I can get a battery for my accuchek as I'm still getting E9. Keep warm all, it's white out here brr. Why couldn't it do this at Christmas?

If your BG was your teenage child I'd bet they are going to ask you for money 😉
I wonder what it wants, it’s now 100% in range and both finger and libre exactly matched at 6.6 pre lunch

4.9 for me this morning and apart from a 1unit correction for an 8.8 with an upward sloping arrow as I climbed into bed last night, I didn't need any interventions during the night. I did 3 trips up the hill with haylage on my back and feed buckets in my hands late last night so quite disappointed I needed that correction, but at least I got undisturbed sleep even if it wasn't the most restful kind.

Wow! @eggyg Another unicorn all trotting along one after the other like that! You should be a circus performer! Very impressive indeed! Concerned that your digestive system is giving you grief though and restricting your food intake and enjoyment so much. Hope it is just a passing phase/flare up and it settles soon and retinal scanning gets the all clear.

@goodybags. Really sorry to hear about your new house situation. So frustrating when it was preventable. I hope the seller isn't going to expect you to split the bill. Bit of an odd situation when you have bought it at auction.

@Gwynn Congrats on yet another optimum waking reading. Personally, if I was dietary controlled Type 2 I would be happier with a reading in the 4s every morning as you often do of course.

@ColinUK So pleased you enjoyed the ballet last night and lovely to read about it in Colin's Cultural Corner.

@Elenka_HM Sounds like you need to push for some support with using bolus insulin and carb counting but well done guessing your way through it last night and definitely better to underestimate than jab too much. The diabetes specialist dietician is the person you need an appointment with for carb counting. Generally they start you off on a 1:10 ratio, so I unit for every 10g carbs but that can be a bit too much for some people, so do be careful and always underestimate the dose to be safe. Have you done the online BERTIE course as that should give you a good background understanding of how it works and you can do it a bit at a time when you can fit it in.
I can’t stop thinking about how great it was!

And this evening I’m off to see Tàr at the posh local independent cinema. So I’ll reflect on that for tomorrow!

If you get chance to go to the cinema both Till and Empire of Light are very good films

That is interesting. Ian wanted to take me to see Empire of Light and I wasn't overly keen after watching the trailer. It just looked a bit depressing but might change my mind now thanks.

I quite fancy Till but think I need to be in the mood for it. Empire of Light I’m not sold on. Would it lose much by waiting for it to be on Netflix or whatever?

It is a very slow film but i enjoyed it. Its quite sad in places. Olivia Coleman was very good though.

Till was excellent but very emotional. I must admit i cried so definitely be in a good frame of mind before watching. Empire of Light is quite a slow story , it wouldn't lose anything by not seeing it on the big screen.

Before my holiday my levels were quite good without bolus and the nurse said I didn't need to change at yet. Obviously the changes in activity and food intake have changed that. I want to see what happens one or two weeks back to my routine. Might be only the holiday excess or maybe some beta cells have died when I was not looking. The team is usually quite helpful when I ask for something.

Tár is fantastic. I’m reeling from it and I’m not quite sure how to put it into words.
Cate Blanchett is maestro playing a maestro who tries to conduct her private life as effectively as she conducts the Berlin Philharmonic.
Tár (Cate B) is a brilliant and loathsome character and her torment is on display from the opening scene. We know it’s all going to unravel but we don’t know when or how utterly and completely.

This needs to be seen in a cinema. The sound recording, which includes an awful lot of silence, is remarkable truly.

I’d say it’s a film unlike any other I’ve ever seen but it’s up there with the true greats. I’m trying to persuade a friend to see it with me again this weekend it’s that good.

I really want to see it but can’t find it on anywhere locally

Move!!

Sometimes I forget about art house cinemas but then I check Flick or Flicks .co.uk and that shows every screen nationally showing a film. Maybe worth checking that out rather than taking my previous suggestion seriously.

Not had one of these for a while… 6.9

After seeing Tár yesterday I’m thinking of going tomorrow evening to hear Mahler’s 5th at Barbican.

I’m not sure if it might be too much though. As in cultural overload. I’ll think on it today and decide later.

Good morning - 7.4

Good morning 6.2 today after what feels like hardly any sleep (noisy next door neighbour) next door probably shouldn’t have but at about 11:30 I went round to try to get them to shut up.

next door it seems has become a unofficial & unlicensed HMO
the properties in this development were built as 3 bed family houses (around 20 yrs ago)
but as they are 3 Storey but with reasonably big rooms spread over 3 floors, over time quite a few of them around here seem to have become HMO (one reason why we’re so keen to moove)

A busy afternoon at work today for me, but I will be emailing local authoritiy AGAIN
this morningm to try and get them to crack down on unofficial HMO‘s around here.
interestingly the property 2 doors away was late last year turned down planning permission to bring the garage into the habitable part of the house and turn that house into a 5 room HMO which was a relief.

I hope everybody has a great day whatever your doing 😎
