I wonder how long it will take my beasties to turn those beautiful lawns into quagmires and eat the flowers. That drive is perfect for carriage driving though. I might insist that every one who comes to visit does so by horse drawn vehicle.

Not likely to happen, I can’t be cleaning all those windows at my age - I’m keeping it, sorry.
 
5.5 this morning.

Shoulder is still niggling, but at least nowhere near as bad as last week, so I’m grateful for that and managed to reduce from co-codamol down to just Paracetemol with the Naproxen.

@TinaD - I hope you are ok and your shoulder, neck and back are better today?

@goodybags - glad your eye injections went ok, I’m amazed at how matter of fact you sound about them, I would be in pieces! Don’t know if you remember the TV series “House”, one line that Wilson said has always stuck with me “It’s amazing what you can get used to and live with” (or something like that). I do hope they help and you are ok.

@ColinUK - thanks for a wonderful précis of Rusalka, I wonder what will happen to her now the prince is dead and she is sort of in limbo? There may be a Rusalka 2 - The Return to the Lake?

Morning all and what a beautiful day again.

4.8 first thing and 5.3 after I had sat in bed with my morning cuppa.

Made it over to ASDA in St Austell yesterday and found some frames that suited me so ordered glasses from them at a grand total of £129 to include made to measure varifocals, reactolite, anti glare etc. All the things Specsavers quoted extra for totalling £306!!! So I was very pleased. Didn't get home until 5:30 as we took the opportunity to do a bit of shopping in various stores in Truro on the way home. Then straight next door for 6pm as we had been invited by our lovely neighbour for a pasty supper. Battled low BGs and took only 2u bolus for the pasty, which was so enormous I brought half home for my lunch today!

Congratulations @rebrascora , @Barrowman and @MikeyBikey on your HSs and palatial homes!

@ColinUK I read CCC whilst drinking my tea in bed. An unexpected burst of laughter resulted in me spitting tea onto my iPad!

@Gwynn, pleased to hear your wife is happier.

@TinaD - sympathies on your pain. Hope you now feel better and hope the relief of not having to deal with Alex et al makes up for it somewhat.

Morning all. 7.1 @ 8.38am thought it would be lower but I'm still having a 'crook' phase so no worries.

Interesting day yesterday. Bro came and he always does the dinner and I'd bought buns thinking just for him. Turned out they were kind of sweet, yuck, why? They looked just like ordinary barms. 🙄 He offered me and I used 'testing' as an excuse to have one. So the day went like this, with an extra bun my bro buttered for me. Dunno why he foists foods on me, he's pre-diabetic himself for years but in denial.

6.8 @ 8.32am
6.5 @ 3.50pm after 2 nasty buns
5.9 @ 11.09pm when I was expecting to be in double figures all day due to beige carbs. I don't get it. On the other hand the carbs made me into a ravening monster full of hunger this morning, breakfast didn't touch the sides. Wonder why I never went up, unless I missed it?
 
Morning all. Well it was when I started. 4. 4 for me this morning. Just checked 3.1 no alarm went off (gremlins kicking in ) it never stopped going off yesterday. Everytime I checked I was well I'n range.. Hope everyone is doing well ❤️‍
