You probably do have libre view, it’s how you share your data with the clinic. Have you tried logging into the libre view website?

I thought setting up a LibreView account was part of the LibreLink app setup. Not sure if you can skip it or not but definitely had to link my LibreView account when I set up the LibreLink app on this iphone a couple of weeks ago.
I have never had to set one up to my knowledge - but I think I had to do something with a code when I first got librelink, and share it with the hospital - and I know they could see my data (don't know if they still can after this though!). But there was no prompt to do so this time when redownloading the app.

I've got an android (OS 13) but the Google play store doesn't seem to have the new version on it. I made the mistake of following the iPhone advice Thursday and uninstalled and reinstalled it and have now lost my last 3 months of data it's on the Web page in the reports, just not the app anymore. I get that there are sometimes issues with new things, but really not happy with the way Abbott seem to be handling this at the moment. Can't believe they've just left iPhone users in the dark with no instructions on how to at least download the previous version of the app.
You can download the apk

If they can see your data you have Libreview. Librelink is the app - the hospital can only see data via Libreview (unless you are showing them your phone at each appointment!)

Not been using device for couple of days & just started a sensor earlier & is now ready to use, so where do these readings show up on a android phone, is it on homescreen as can't see it.

App is updated & message came up when starting sensor that readings will be available every minute.

If you needed the code and your clinic have access, then you have a LibreView account and your data is on there. If you search for LibreView, you should be able to log on to it (assuming you know the password or your device has stored it) and view your data and all the extra reports it generates. I don't look at it much and sometimes it can be a bit of data overload, but it highlights little issues for the consultant to consider.

But all that information is already available in the Glucose Reports in Libreview?
Thank you, I didn't realise there were reports on LibreView. BUT this information was always available on the LibreLink app on my phone and I never had to go into LibreView to see the reports. I can get reports in LibreLink, but only since 12 July. Some reports do not work as there is not enough data. All the historic data and reports have gone and there is no continuity. That's is why I am saying they are removing functionality. I know this is not as important as people with iPhones not being able to get their scanners to work, but I do not think it should be ignored by Abbot.

Urgent Field Safety Notice
Product:
FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS, version 2.10
Reference: ADC FA1029-2023
Communication from Manufacturer
Dear Customer:
We are reaching out to let you know about some important information regarding the FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS, version 2.10 in the United Kingdom.
Problem / Issue
Following the release of the FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS version 2.10 on 12-Jul-2023 in the United Kingdom, some customers are experiencing a situation where the app upgrade is unsuccessful, they receive a white app screen, and their prior app version is unavailable. This will result in a period where glucose readings and alarms will not be received, and historical glucose readings will not be accessible.
This does not impact customers if they:
  • Have successfully downloaded and installed the 2.10 version of the FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS
  • Are using version 2.8.1 or earlier of the FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS
  • Are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app with an Android Operating System
  • Are using any version of the FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS that is available outside the United Kingdom App store
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Potential Harms
Customers who are unable to use their FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS may be exposed to the following potential harms, and if they have a Caregiver, they will not receive glucose readings or notifications in FreeStyle LibreLinkUp.
  • Missed glucose alarms (FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors only) could lead to undetected low or high glucose, which could result in delayed treatment, such as not taking insulin (for high glucose), or not taking glucose (for low glucose) when required.
  • Missed glucose readings could lead to undetected low or high glucose, which could result in delayed treatment, such as not taking insulin (for high glucose), or not taking glucose (for low glucose) when required.
  • Missing historical glucose readings could lead to missed or overly aggressive adjustments to diabetic therapy.
Actions for You
If you are experiencing a white app screen or unsuccessful app upgrade, please follow this step-by-step video to uninstall and reinstall the app: youtu.be/LfIbDA8ciSg.
Please note, when uninstalling and reinstalling the app:
If signed into a LibreView account: Historical glucose data from the app should be available in LibreView. If you still have days left on an active Sensor, the last 8 hours of data will be available after the app is reinstalled and the Sensor is scanned twice.
If not signed into a LibreView account:Historical glucose data from the app will be deleted and cannot be recovered. If you still have days left on an active Sensor, a new Sensor will need to be started after the app is reinstalled.
For FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor users: The app will be reinstalled with alarms set to OFF by default. To update alarms settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open the FreeStyle LibreLink app
  2. Tap ‘Menu’ and select ‘Alarms’
  3. Toggle and set alarm thresholds as desired
If you have not already upgraded your FreeStyle LibreLink app for iOS to version 2.10, we advise to delay upgrading until receiving additional notice from Abbott.
If the guidance in the step-by-step video does not resolve the issue, please call FreeStyle customer service at 0800 170 1177.
In the meantime, please use either a new Sensor with a compatible Reader or a blood glucose meter (finger sticking) to get glucose readings.
Find your App Version
To check which app version you are using, follow the instructions below:
  • Open your FreeStyle LibreLink app
  • Tap ‘Menu’ then tap ’About’
  • The app version will be listed on this screen under Software Full Version

Can I ask ? My sensor is always started with the reader, so downloading the new Libre app didn't have to do anything different with the old sensor and, it is now working just fine doing CGM with a new sensor. Just trying to understand the difference between working and not working.

So Questions:
1. are those that are working OK, people that used the reader to start last sensor ?
2. did those 'not working' use phone to start last sensor ?
3. anyone working that doesn't fit 1 or 2 ?

Just my impression from following the threads over the last few days

Oddly I saw the update in the App Store on my iPhone yesterday morning and clicked update and it updated. When I opened the App, it stuck on a white screen for about 10 seconds, then went to the normal Home Screen. The App says full version: 2.10.0.7647. Then later in the day I saw this thread and the warning on the Abbott Freestyle website. So it would seem this doesn't affect all iOS users.

I'm using an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.5.1(c), which is the latest version of iOS.

As many have mentioned above, this seems to only affect some iOS users, not Android (Samsung, etc) so basically it does not affect any non-Apple smart phone. As Abbott have now removed their App from the App Store, you won't be able to find it by searching for it. If you have previously downloaded it from the App Store App on to your iPhone, you can re-install the LibreLink app from there, which should give you the previous version you had installed.

The various versions of the detailed instructions above should get you back up and running. There's also a video on Abbott's website: https://www.freestyle.abbott/uk-en/iphone.html.

I've worked in IT for years and am quite used to dealing with naughty software, big sigh.

50 years since the late 60's, can't help but try to analyse. Op, sysprog, mgr. Have asked Abbott for error codes but no response except a new sensor. Hope that they what the problem is. However this forum probably has more data than they do

I’m using an iPhone XS Max on iOS 16.5.1 (c) and updated LibreLink to 2.10.0.7647 when it first came out. After getting the white screen, deleting and reinstalling the app, signing in again, scanned the sensor and it started giving me CGM from it. The sensor was previously started on the iPhone and had 3 days left to run.

Since then I started a new sensor with the v2.10.0.7647 app and it has been working happily as CGM since Friday evening. Not been able to load doses from my two Novopens as this did cause a white screen, hang then crash (causing me to have to delete and reinstall when the app was still available on the App Store, rather than having to install from purchases).

So, basically hanging on to this version until Abbott release a new version to fix the issues, as this version at least for now is working for me.

You can skip the Libreview login it in the android app, I imagine it would be the same in the ios version.

Same software levels, different H/W, different sensor start. So you updated, then white screen (that we haven't seen) and then you 'deleted and re-installed' app with same sensor, scanned and CGM works ?

Don't have sensor insulin pens so can't compare. Thanks

Yes, that’s correct.

Only use phone, can't remember last time used reader apart from using it as bg meter.

Mines working fine so far, worked out you have to open libre app to see current levels, like feature & lot less hassle than scanning.

I used the reader to start because if not you don't have the back-up (other than blood testing) if the phone has a problem - I've had too many problems with my iphone and the app! The app crashed and I had a white screen, at least the reader was working. I followed instructions on here before it was all working again, 12 hours of stress yesterday!

Got an email from Libre about it today - not good enough! And I am still getting a lot of gaps on the graph with lack of service
