Group 7-day waking average?

Afternoon all. It was a 5.3 for me much earlier today.

Have a great day folks, and stay well.

Good afternoon. A fabulous sunny day today. 8.2 this morning. I managed to twist my knee yesterday so it's a bit tender. Still did my keep fit session but dialled back some of the exercises. Had a nice coffee and fresh out the oven cheese scone with a friend at a new cafe in the village. Very nice. Then a brisk walk home to bring the BG back down.

Congratulations on your exam results @Eternal422

Grandparent duties sound like a full time job @eggyg . I bet you will be ready for another holiday soon.

Have a lovely day everyone and take care <3

I’ve just been thinking that myself! Wow! Two babies together is very hard work. Luckily, this won’t be happening very often. For some reason, I thought having them both together would be a good idea, “get it over with” sort of thing! Maybe not. Got them both down for a nap about 12.40, youngest in cot, other in buggy. We’ve managed about 20 minutes sit down, after tidying up after lunch, before older one woke up. 🙄 Only 3.5 hours to go! It’s a good job they’re very cute.

Great news! I passed! I got 42/46, of course I’m pondering why I got 4 wrong,
Tony that's an impressive 91%, you did very well.

Good afternoon I’m Mr late on parade again today, ‘twas a Len today

went back to bed his morning (after taking my wife to work) congrats on the HS yesterday @PattiEvans :star:
Spoke to a GP yesterday who prescribed some creams for the suspected shingles that came on over the weekend, I’m already taking antihistamines to stave off hay-fever

today is my second day with no insulin (yesterday was due to drop from 3 units to just 2) but thought let’s give it a go and see how it goes
The GP who looks often my Diabetic needs phoned just now to review how I’m getting on on Mounjaro he was pleased to hear I was happy to try and see how it goes without insulin (think I’ve now been taking insulin for over 10 years I shall have to look back in the NHS app and see when that was introduced)

I emailed a photo of my toe to the high risk foot care team I’m still under, the blister still hasn’t really as nicely and off colour, was weeping this morning so reassuring they can see me on Thursday afternoon.

hope everyone is having a Terrific Tuesday 🙂

Well, i am officially worn out. Aching feet and back but we've had a lovely day. We've walked around famous sites in London, narrowly missing The Queen being driven into the Palace. We'd just crossed over the road when the car came behind us. All i saw was the back end of her car, hubby saw who was in it. Next time we come down we plan to see some galleries.

@eggyg i have every respect for you walking the miles you do!

Tomorrow we check out of the hotel early then head to the V&A for the Cartier exhibition. Looking forward to that.

I hope everyone else has had a good day

@Eternal422 congrats on your exam result.

I hope it isn't shingles as it can linger quite a long time though it you act quickly enough you can have a weeks course of antivirals which should help, but only if taken soon enough. A friend got it and even though she had the antiviral is still suffering stabbing pains round her middle after nearly 6 weeks.

Great news! I passed! I got 42/46, of course I’m pondering why I got 4 wrong, unfortunately it doesn’t tell you which ones nor what the correct answers were so I must just stop now and accept a great pass!
:party:congrats @Eternal422 :star:<3

ouch 😱 for your friend @Leadinglights I hope it’s not also, I’m just going by what I was previously told when I had a similar itchy rash a few times in the past, who I spoke to yesterday wasn't 100% certain

Tony that's an impressive 91%, you did very well.
Thank you! The pass mark is 61% so I had plenty of contingency, now onwards to the Full Licence exam which I’ll take late December/early January.

Hello everyone, late as usual.

No idea what FBG was as the current regime doesn't keep FBG records and it's been a bit of a day! We were woken at 5 am with a banshee noise that signified an imminent hypo. Took 2 Dextro and half a biscuit and went back to sleep. I am sick of being woken by horrible noises - what's up with the CamAPS algorithm that it cannot stop hypos. That one was 8 hours since any bolus!

Anyway, today was a cannula change and I was midst this very complicated operation when my phone went nuts and it was my g/f ringing via WhatsApp. I'm panic stricken as I'm unfamiliar with the complicated phone and the complicated cannula change. I answered and because of that managed to apply the cannula without taking off the plastic needle guard. Realised the minute I had done it that the plastic was in my tummy! Shees... all she wanted was me to meet her earlier if I could. Fast forward... repeat cannula change... arrive at our meet venue on time and she is 15 mins late!!!!

Have spent the afternoon, despite the algothithm in the high teens after a simple prawn sarnie and a few crisps!!! Tomorrow is another day!!!!

Anyway... enough of me.

Happy Anniversary Freesia! I love anniversaries!

Congratulations @Eternal422 on passing your exam.

@Lisa65 my hubby had a similar situation as the treasurer of a club he was winding up... £39,000 he had transferred to the main charity disappeared into a holding account unbeknown to him. In the end it was established that the only people the bank would listen to was not him, but a rep of the the main charity (I did fear they thought he was embezzling). It may be your mum has to speak to the bank.

Sorry @goodybags is suffering...

And so and goodnight and godbless!

@ColinUK we've just been to see Titanique. Its the campest, most bonkers thing i've ever seen. Fabulous, brilliant, hilarious, words can't describe it. We enjoyed it.

Morning 5.1 today

Today I’m feeling slightly less itchy & had a good nights sleep, yesterday spoke to podiatrist so seeing them tomorrow regarding something that’s a bit slow healing up on my toe, also spoke to a GP (regarding medication)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday 🙂

Morning and a 5.4 and lowest overnight levels for a long while.
Nice drive in Shrewsbury and Welsh Marches yesterday and decided to follow one of those hand made signs which said cafe for lunch.
Took me onto a housing estate and not too hopeful but it was lovely and such nice staff.
Then onto Welshpool and up into hills and drive home through Ellesmere Shropshire’s Lake District.
Only local today before North Wales on Thursday so some good days out.
Whatever you are upto have a good one.

Morning all. 5.7 at 5am. I didn’t need to get up, but today is the first day since we got back from our holidays that I don’t need to get up, so I got up so I’ve more time to do nowt! 😉
TBF, I won’t be doing nowt, we’ve loads to do in the house and the garden. Already got a wash on, hot whites if you’re wondering, coloureds next. A huge pile of ironing, dining room, although now devoid of boxes needs put back together. I really need to change our bed but won’t have enough room on the washing line for the bedding. The daffs need deadheaded and the bluebells pulled up! My poor birds need fed, they’ll be getting their own back on my washing if I don’t do that today! It’s all go, but the sun is shining once again so that helps.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

06:04 BS 4.2 but, after loo trip it’s 06:20 BS 5.6.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

ALMOST too much NR for a middle of the night can of Heinz chicken soup. I went to bed without eating dinner & woke about 00:35 ish on BS 6.6 feeling hungry & gave it 28. It’ll have to be less than then for cans of soup next time! 🙄

Mote RATW tonight which I may not be up by the the time it’s on live so, may catch that iPlayer in the morning? 😛

I fancy making a chicken curry today, maybe not RIGHT now for breakfast: you may have noticed I eat weird things at weird times but, not THAT weird as eating curry for breakfast; I’ll cook it later & have with the cauliflower/broccoli rice so, another food experiment later & to be cautious I’ll try a normal meal dose of NR & work my way upwards from there! <3:confused:

So glad you enjoyed it!

I did say it was bonkers and camp!

Did you have Lauren as Celine or is she still ill? There’s been a bug doing the rounds in that company recently so they’ve had emergency cast changes which have included swing coming over from Paris and playing Jack without that being his track, then playing Cal the next day. Plus they’ve had U/S in for the mother followed by swing from Berlin I think having to come in and cover that role. Then Lauren became ill so they had to cancel a performance before flying in someone who’d played the role off Broadway to cover! The show must go on!

Hopefully you got to see Rob H as Jack as he’s an amazingly talented actor with a voice to match. And Layton IS the Iceberg bitch!

What time are you off to the V&A today? I’m heading to Covent Garden early today if you wanted a coffee or breakfast pastry and to say Hi in person. @eggyg @PattiEvans and @Grannylorraine can testify I don’t bite!

5.6

Therapy on Monday was interesting. Therapist was late because reception didn’t tell her I was there so I started in a bad mood. That’s not a negative though as it spurred me to tell her how I felt judged by her. That led to a better understanding of language differences (she’s Chinese and has English as a second language) and has given me permission to speak up and ask for clarification if/when she says something that doesn’t land right with me. That’s a good thing.

She also got up and drew things on a whiteboard to illustrate her thinking which is a first for me in a therapy session. But it was useful. I have homework that I’m prevaricating over doing so instead of getting on with it yesterday I ordered a couple of physical books, did some housework, caught up on four episodes of Andor and slept.

Also last night I went to Sadler’s Wells and saw Ballet B C (as in British Columbia) perform a wonderful double bill. Frontier (by Crystal Pite) has been reworked for this specific company of dancers and was extraordinary. It’s barely lit and features most of the dancers in black and masked. It’s about the unseen, dark matter, the subconscious and it’s truly phenomenal.
The second piece was also made for this specific company of dancers and was a dangerous piece. Difficult to describe but it’s about life, birth, death and everything in between.
The danger comes from the surface treatment of the stage. It’s very slippery. It’s covered in ash. That ash moves. Marks are not clear as they may be covered in ash rather than visible. The dancers are socked or barefoot.
There’s ballet, tap, and some of the dancers sing beautifully too.

I’ve found trailers for both pieces and the company is on tour. If you’re at all curious then go see it as it’s by far the best thing I’ve seen in a long time.
