Group 7-day waking average?

🙄Another 8+ this morning. I’m trying to find out what my glucose level should be before bed. I’m obviously not getting that right. Perhaps it’s the fear of low sugars which were happening too often when I hadn’t reduced my Toujeo. That makes me too cautious. What a complicated balancing act this Diabetic life is sometimes …

Nick
Isn’t it: the goal posts shifting all the time; having to readjust! 🙄

Afternoon all. A 4.3 for me much earlier this morning....

Afternoon folks. Just finished lunch after a drive up to the local bee supplies company for some bits. Guess who forgot to buy the stand when she bought a new hive kit in the sale last year. Only discovered this when we started building it yesterday 😱 o_O
Hopefully all sorted now. A 7.9 this morning but a busy afternoon planned in the garden. Grass needs cutting very short as we need to put the poultry electric fencing out tomorrow. APHA say we can let our chickens out again.
Slightly miffed as the deer or rabbits munched the top off some of my newly planted sunflowers last night. Off to collect more bees this evening. I hope they are a calm colony. It makes inspection and honey harvesting so much easier.

Have a happy hump day and enjoy the sun while it lasts. Rain due Saturday in our area and we do need it.

Morning all (just)... a variable day, sun and clouds. It rained overnight and (hopefully) filled the water butt. Sincerely hope so as we were informed yesterday that our water bill is going up from £44 per month to £73pm as we (apparently) use the equivalent of 4 baths per day - I bet most of that goes on the garden as we only take 1 shower each a day and no baths.

7.0 this morning - not sure what's going on as I've been high all night and most of yesterday.

Doing odd jobs around the house today - hubby has gone out to meet his friend.

Now it's no longer morning at all - I was called away whilst attempting to post earlier!

@Martin.A you must be a very proud Dad on two counts!

I also confirm that @ColinUK does not bite... he swallows you whole LOL!!

I'm sure I've forgotten something I meant to say... never mind!

I am, and my daughter's new job means she's done with frontline policing after 27 years. I always tried not to worry about her and now I can relax.

@Grannylorraine, @PattiEvans i'm so glad @ColinUK doesn't bite :rofl: .

@ColinUK we stayed as long as we could but couldn't wait any longer. Its almost an hour to get back to the car and a 3 hour trip back home. Next time we're in London we will message and definitely meet up.

9.2 despite another bout of cramp and consequent salt & vinegar crisp blowout at 1am (wish i could still find s&v pork rinds, but it doesn't seem to matter anyway!)
Try some diet tonic water. I had a large glass in the evenings when I used to get leg cramps at night. I took a few weeks to fully take effect but it did help.

Good advice but I can't stand either tonic water or artificial sweeteners.

Might have to make up some electrolyte water if this is going to happen often. I used to use pink salt, cream of tartar and vitamin c powder but I'll have to look up the ratios as I haven't made it for years.

Afternoon all.7.1 for me this morning.High alarm went off twice during the night .Be the jobs I had as low alarm went off a few times yesterday afternoon.I also woke up three times with cramp in my calf .Must drink more water on a night . Hope everyone has had a good day.

6.1 this morning, no rain yet either which is unusual. The east coast is only 13C and cloudy, so can't be that bad.

Had a nasty little hypo last night about an hour and a half after my meal, so wasn't expected; took about an hour to shift - 9.5 before bed.

Went out to a craft bar this dinner after my meeting and before I had another appointment - been manic. Still nothing until tomorrow afternoon and a few things to look into before then.

I just use plain table salt. Tastes horrible, but it does the trick.

I find magnesium gel very effective for cramp, you don't need much but rubbed in the the affected part helps and will stop a repeated attack.
Make sure you are well hydrated as well and do some stretches. It can be excruciating.
We are all told to reduce salt but people do need salt just not too much so if you have too little that can cause cramp.
Quinine which is the ingredient in tonic water is also supposed to help.
