Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all, 5.6 here. Looks like we had about a teaspoonful of rain last night, better than nothing, but we’ve hammered our waterbutts for the veg and the sweet peas since we got back from hol, and they could do with a refill, and the rest of the garden is parched. The lavenders and herbs are loving it, and anything with a good root system is doing OK for now, but we need some more rain!

5.5 for me so near yet so far away
Morning every one how are you all? We have had a drop of rain its made the air a lot fresher. Am going out on Indie today just to Lidl to get salad for tea and a bag of walnuts may drop into my basket
todays victorys managed to carry my backpack with laptop in it to dinning room and get a small table from one side of room to where i was sitting small ones but a victory nevertheless
Hope everybody is well and enjoying life All have a good day wotever you do. As always extra special wishs to anyone whos struggling for any reason
love

Morning all. 🙂 5.4 here...that’s more like it!

Two classes today and some important admin tomorrow morning...and then I’m footloose and fancy free for 10 days, woohoo! Hubby’s in Spain, so I’ve been having to leave the dogs on their own for 3-hour stretches while I’m out working. Thankfully, today’s the last day - they’re just not used to being left alone!

Rain, sun, rain. Uh oh. This can only mean one thing. The garden is going to grow exponentially, eek!

Soooo cute @eggyg.

A nice round 5 for me this morning. Back to sunny blue skies. 🙂
Have a great day everyone.

Dez

So glad you enjoyed it!

I did say it was bonkers and camp!

Did you have Lauren as Celine or is she still ill? There’s been a bug doing the rounds in that company recently so they’ve had emergency cast changes which have included swing coming over from Paris and playing Jack without that being his track, then playing Cal the next day. Plus they’ve had U/S in for the mother followed by swing from Berlin I think having to come in and cover that role. Then Lauren became ill so they had to cancel a performance before flying in someone who’d played the role off Broadway to cover! The show must go on!

Hopefully you got to see Rob H as Jack as he’s an amazingly talented actor with a voice to match. And Layton IS the Iceberg bitch!

What time are you off to the V&A today? I’m heading to Covent Garden early today if you wanted a coffee or breakfast pastry and to say Hi in person. @eggyg @PattiEvans and @Grannylorraine can testify I don’t bite!
I can testify @ColinUK doesn’t bite.

9.1 this morning. I hate the Tresiba as it doesn't seem to be doing anything, so I've emailed the nurse at the surgery asking to go back on Abasaglar.

Still getting nowhere with mum's cheque, I spent over an hour on the phone yesterday to Santander and nobody seems able or willing to do anything. So I've gone back to lloyds and put an official complaint in. They need to stop fannying around and credit the wretched thing to my account. My poor mum's in bits over there.

Still not had any redundancy or notice pay from work despite leaving in January, the company is in the process of being liquidated but it's taking forever.

So fed up at the moment, I thought retirement was going to be stress free!

Just rage jabbed 10 units of the abasaglar I still had in the fridge!

Morning

4.7 and first significant rain here for weeks, going over to FIL house to sort out the items we put in the fitted wardrobes, I suspect a lot of it will end up in our living room, but it needs to be done, plus hubby needs to check one or two things on the forms he has to fill out for the solicitor and wants them to be correct.

@Lisa65 - sounds like a nightmare and I am not surprised your mum is in bits.

@goodybags - hope it isn’t shingles.

Morning everyone. 5.9 for me on waking. Late start today coz I was playing music last night with friends, as I am every Tuesday. Last night, though, our community choir joined us after they put on a recital in town.

Long story short we ended up singing until 3am. Head a little sore this morning but oodles of fun last night. I even managed to stay in range, irrespective of the few pints of Guinness. The rest of the morning could be tricky though…

Have a great day all.

Layton was in it, he was fabulous! I'm not sure who played the rest of the cast except to say they were all incredible. Celine was played by a welsh girl.

Would love to meet up depending on times. We're about to drop the car off and get the tube in. Tickets are booked for 10.45 so we might be short on time before because we are staying a bit far out, but would love to meet up after if you are able. Let me know, if not then next time we are down here.

Morning, 6.0 for me. Happy as I had a cannula failure before bed and had to change it, usually meaning I'd stay awake for a few hours to check it's working. However I fell asleep early and the new one worked ok. Brilliant.

It's rainy here in Dorset today, but a good day for students to stay in the library and read!

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. 3.9 this morning and had been since about 1am! I was so tired after yesterday, i must have just turned off the alarm, i don't remember. I slept well anyway. Anyway, i'm now going too high so i need to do something about that.

That’s Lauren Drew! She’s great!

I’m at opera (Faust) today. It starts at 11:15 and I’m meeting a friend at 10:30. I don’t think it’s scheduled to finish until around 15:30

I’ll drop you a message cx

5.8 for me on a rather damp Berkshire morning. Light rain at the moment but it's forecast to get heavy later. Thunderstorms too but I'll believe that when it happens. Slug Patrol deployed as the grass was wet but only found half a dozen. The dry Spring - the driest since 1852, apparently - means that it hasn't been a good season for slugs. Happy with that.

Our youngest had some good news yesterday - he's got a place at the University of Chichester, starting in September. He wants to work in Film & TV and already has a Diploma in Creative Media Production from college, but his real interest is in script writing and Chichester is one of the few Universities that offer degrees in that.

Also heard from my daughter, a DS with South Wales Police. She's landed a new job as a full-time Police Federation Rep for her force. She'll be in post for 5 years, and as she's already in her 50s it'll take her through to retirement. She's come a long way since pounding the beat as a newly-qualified WPC in East London.

It's Home-Alone-Wednesday, so I have the day to myself. Nothing special planned but might nip over to M&S in nearby Bracknell later, and maybe have lunch in our favourite cafe in town on the way back. In the meantime coffee and the newspaper.

Have a good day, your weather permitting.

Morning all and 5.1 for me.

Good rehearsal last night. New songs taking shape very nicely indeed.

Looks like we will be getting a new shared rehearsal space soon so no more paying by the hour and spending the first half hour setting up.

Still sunny and dry here. No rain til the weekend evidently.

Have a good day everyone.

Congratulations to them both, it is rewarding as parents to see your offspring's achievement especially having a career they enjoy.

Fascinating how different the weather can be some 40+ miles away. I have experienced rain in both India and Kenya, where it can last for days, even in tiny Ascension Island where it will last 12 hours and fill half a swimming pool. In UK the pressure systems straddling our 4 cardinal points brings a variability that even the Met Office often can't accurately predict. The forecast rain for home started on time at 2am and was still going strong as we drove N at 6.50 am. Not able to see how much rain was caught in the half dozen open tubs I put out (to catch whatever I could); if I'm lucky they won't have evaporated by next Monday. Anyway I'm grateful for it and so will the lawn be.

It can be different from the front of the house to the back, we have had rain at the front but not the back and it is not a big house.
I often think Coventry has it's own microclimate as when my other half worked in Leamington or Warwick the weather could have been different there to Cov.

Ahhhh! I’m a happy bunny on two counts! :D

1 Just cooked & finished a chicken curry for lunch & I haven’t had one in about a year: REALLY as my local Chinese takeaway, just about 600/700 metres down the main road from me, closed down last autumn after 30/35 years when the owner retired & it was ages then since I’d ordered curry as my A1c was so bad back then; we were open from 1975 to 2010 & he was about 10/15 years starting after us but, only retired last year! Ok, I didn’t quite trust the 48NR I’d planned as I seriously overestimated the amount of curry paste, & therefore sauce, & ate a, thank goodness it has a higher lip around the edge, huge plate of chicken curry literally swimming in sauce: I’d cooked it so, might as well eat it >>😉😉 : & I added +2 for a 50NR dose &, wrote in the libre, see from there for an idea of dosage for it in the future! Oh my word! I’ve missed a good Chinese curry & it was positively I’m ambrosial heaven! 😛 & another one for licking my lips! 😛<3

2 Oh! Thank goodness my prescriptions for the last two weeks all came just now in the middle of my lunch! I don’t know what the delay was as I ordered it online & when I rang the chemist for delivery they said they didn’t have it: health centre said they issued it; me getting AWFULLY worried as I was on my last box of needles, box of NR & box of Tresiba! NOW, I got my 13th & 19th May delivered AFTER I ordered again early this morning, hours before the health centre & chemist opened, for all the stuff! I now have two boxes each of NR & Tresiba & 4 boxes of needles & I’ll have another box each of NR & Tresiba & 2 boxes of needles if they issue it today’s? My fridge shelf is nicely stacked up & I won’t need to order for at least a week or maybe two? 😱

I asked as politely as I could just after 9am if the chemist had my prescription & she said there were lots of stuff & I said “OH! Thank goodness!” & said I’d been having problems in getting my prescriptions recently. She said they now do a text message service to say when prescriptions are in & asked for my mobile number so, hopefully less hassle in future of me probably calling for deliveries just a bit too early? 🙄:thankyou:

Anyway, I’m a very relieved, happy, full & satisfied bunny right now!:rofl:

Edited to add:- Laughing at myself as I made SO many typos, that I’ve now corrected, you’d think I was drunk: maybe I am; on happiness & relief as, you may know, I’m Tee Total! o_O:rofl:

Another 8+ this morning. I’m trying to find out what my glucose level should be before bed. I’m obviously not getting that right. Perhaps it’s the fear of low sugars which were happening too often when I hadn’t reduced my Toujeo. That makes me too cautious. What a complicated balancing act this Diabetic life is sometimes …
