Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 7.4. The sun is shining the sky is a very pale blue and looking at the tall trees, theres quite a breeze. Today i'm going out with my friend for our 'christmas' day (we don't buy gifts any more, we go out for a day somewhere). We're off for a wander around shops, meal at a Greek restaurant then off to the theatre. A day of laughter and relaxation and i'm looking forward to it (just hoping the heel isn't too painful). A bit of ironing to do this morning then after, a bit of pampering.

Congrats on the HS @eggyg. Have a safe journey back and i hope your daughter's move goes ok.

Ps. I found out the cause of the loud scrabbling noise night before last, it was the fox ripping up some plastic sheeting a neighbour had used to cover things. They are getting to be a nuisance. I think there must be a den nearby too as the one that visited us looking through the window last weekend was very small, a cub maybe.

Have a lovely day everyone. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.
I’ve heard of Christmas in July: apparently it’s very popular in Australia & southern hemisphere countries; just never heard of it in May! Each to their own! >>😉😉 Enjoy YOUR Christmas! 😛😎:D

Morning all, ran high all night after eating a bowl of chilli peanuts last night and woke up with an 8.0.
My leg is finally on the mend thank goodness, I took the dog for a nice stroll in the woods yesterday afternoon as well as getting the lawn mowed.
Have increased Tresiba to 24 units as of today, although I won't tell the nurse, she is super cautious and only wants me to increase by 2 units every week! I know tresiba is slow to ramp up but it's not that bloody slow!
Hope you all have a great day.

5.7 for me, and you were right @PattiEvans - we have blue sky and sunshine this morning and temperatures in the 20s. Bit cooler today where you are, though?

Our youngest and his mates arrived safely in Snowdonia yesterday, checked in to their accommodation and then set off to climb Snowdon. Dozens of others doing the same, he said. Reached the (crowded) summit just as the sun was setting and took a picture. Heading back today.

I have my annual diabetes review this morning then the usual Friday Big Shop. Trend lines for my waking and post-prandial results over the last 3 months suggest nothing's changed BG-wise, but we'll see what my HbA1c says.

Congrats on the HS @eggyg and have a safe journey home.

Enjoy your Friday.

Well done @eggyg on your HS. :star: It was a 5.9 for me today.

Dez

Good morning.5.3 which cheered me up after a bad night - caravan too hot to sleep at 22.30 was cold enough to make ice cream at 02.30. heater got it back to bearable by 0.5.30. Locked and painful shoulder muscles have now relaxed so ready to enjoy another sunny day.

Physio had a letter from consultant which contradicted what he had told me so she queried it and got a different contradictory reply. Since we are now supposedly complying with 3 different recommendations we have decided to make it up as we go along! So it is brace off at night (better than ulcers and swelling), on during day at 60 degrees unless on rough going or increased pain, in which case dial back. She was quite pleased with my efforts at mobilisation.

Did a bit too much yesterday as every time I sat down the builders needed advice - must have gone up and down caravan steps at least 30 times. Ankles/ feet cold and achey, but leg injuries have held up pretty well considering. I wonder when I will be able to drive a mini digger? More mowing today once the hen house has gone - flogged it for 80 quid - bloke next door does nice eggs so no need to bother with hens.

Pondering on purchase of towable weed killer (old one died) as previous occupiers seem to have cultivated dandelions, buttercup, and plantain instead of grass and obviously I am not capable of carting a backpack sprayer. Oh well, no pockets in a shroud...

Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Morning

6 exactly, plans for today are Pilates, maybe a run later and some crotchet. Lovely and sunny here today after a cool grey day yesterday.

@eggyg congratulations on your HS, hope your daughter’s house move goes well today so she also gets a house special. Safe journey back tomorrow.

7.5 at 7am, which is better than expected. Reduced my Toujeo from 22 to 21 following a succession of lows.

Cold and miserable in SW15 yesterday but looks promising today. A pic from my back garden wall, pretending to be in the South of France:

Another rant & I promise to stop after this! Now the volume keeps intermittently dropping to zero or randomly going up to 100% & I never know when it’s going to do what? It’s driving me nuts! o_O So either I can’t hear anything or I get deafened! 😡
I think I’ll give the A17 Pro a miss apart from checking on updates once a day & go back to using the mini 5!

That sounds like a button problem/dusty contacts? I can’t see that that would be an OS thing.

Do you have an Apple Store anywhere near you? You could take it in to have them give it a once-over. If you bought it from Apple, they may replace it depending on what’s wrong?

A 5.3 for me followed by a big ole FHTF bump almost immediately, which the dog walk coped with.

Have a lovely Friday everyone!

One last post about iPad. I submitted two bug reports on the official Apple page & then, remembered my iPad is still under warranty since I only bought it last November, for my Birthday, so, went to the Warranty setting & contacted Apple that way. Long story short after chatting on messages back & forth I rebooted via the MacBook Pro & it took hours & hours since my last post or at at least it seemed that way & things APPEAR to be ok now: only time will tell; hope so anyway? 🙂 As to WHY erasing, rebooting & restoring from a computer works when doing it on the iPad 3 times, that’s how many times I ended up doing it, didn’t work, I don’t know? o_O But, I’m still holding off putting all my stuff on the hard drive back on the iPad until I’m certain things are ok! :thankyou: Oh! Forgot to say Apple first ran a Diagnostic of my hardware & software on the iPad & no problems so, I asked do I have a virus & did it get uploaded to my iCloud backups &, loads of techie stuff, basically backups are in a “Sandbox” (WHAT?) & it’s “Very highly unlikely malware can be uploaded to iCloud backups”! That’s completely took up my morning! Now absolutely starving for MY lunch as I forgot to eat! Off to cook lunch! Nom, nom, nom! 😛

Glad you have managed to get it restored and up and running again @Lanny

Speaking of iPad oddities, mine has started doing a weird thing with Forum Birthdays / user accounts, where it doesn’t show the pop up panel properly, it just appears as a blank space. Which is ODD!

I’m assuming some peculiar cache glitch that will sort itself out eventually. My phone still shows them as expected.

Pfft! Technology eh?!

That’s lovely @NickE

I can almost hear the chirp of the cicadas, and the distant lap of waves upon a mediterranean shore!

Gorgeous sunset @Martin.A

I notice we've not seen @rebrascora for a while. I hope everything is ok.
Thanks for concern. Been a bit hectic here. Driving season has started and have already hosted two events. Been back and forth to visit brother as he is really struggling and then had a fall in the night Sat gone and wasn't found until Monday morning when his daughters partner had to break in and found him on the bedroom floor semi conscious, so he is back in hospital and has had a bleed on the brain. He is making a little physical progress but confused and can't see that situation improving as he has been like that since Feb and is no longer really fit to live independently but will not have carers in and not agree to residential care. He is already planning his escape from hospital and he can't even manage to get from the chair to the bed.
I have started comfort/binge eating again and put on a silly amount of weight and using far too much insulin but levels going really high most nights despite increased Levemir so really not feeling like posting on this thread just at the moment as it just makes me more conscious of how badly things have slipped. It was 15.9 this morning, despite going to bed on 9.1 with 3 stacked corrections and an increase in Levemir. I know what I need to do, but just feeling a bit overwhelmed. It will pass and I will get back on track hopefully sooner rather than later, but at the moment I am just needing a bit of time out.
Sending everyone love. XX

Good Morning
6.6 this morning yesterday 6.3 on my out of date test strips, waiting for indate ones to arrive, not heard if doc is going to reissue or not but keeping fingers crossed.

Its another beautiful day so have a good one everyone. Everyone is a :star:

Good morning all - weather today is a bit "Iffy!" with plenty of cloud and small blue patches. The met office says it's going to clear up at 2pm... we shall see!

6.9 this morning, but not sure how correct that is. This is my 2nd Libre 3 that I applied 23 hours ago and it keeps losing signal) Shot up to 14.4 after lunch (a salad with a small portion of coleslaw and cous cous, approx 25g carb) but when I tested my meter said 10.1. Unsure what to do really, do I rip it off and ask for a replacement, or is it my fault somehow?

So, time to stop wasting time, shower and dress, bacon sandwich and off into town to do odd errands and then meet friends for the afternoon.

@rebrascora hope you feel better soon, but with everything that's on your mind it's not surprising you are not great at the moment.

@eggyg congrats on your HS - so glad you've had such a fabulous holiday! Hope your daughter's move goes smoothly.

@TinaD you put me to shame - all you are doing despite your injuries! It's as much as I can do to water the garden using a watering can!

So... here's hoping everyone has a lovely day!
