Group 7-day waking average?

Speaking of that mother & son pair it was very shocking & sad to see the BBC’s memorial to Sam Gardiner at the end of last week’s episode 7! I thought “He’s dead!” & looked it up on google. He died in a car accident in Greater Manchester while returning home from a landscape gardening job! He was only 24 & I shed a few tears for him & thought of his mum Jo! :(
That's so sad. We were watching him last night and I found it hard to reconcile the fact that he is no longer anywhere on this earth. I feel so for his mum Jo as she loved him so much!

Hello all - another nasty dull day. Yesterday we nipped to Lidl which is more or less on the sea front... only the skate park between. It was just like midwinter there, very damp with a cold wind.

5.6 this morning. Things seem to be levelling out one way and another. It's taken 6 weeks, not the 2 they said, but nevertheless I am having to pay much less attention to D.

Going into town to meet friends as usual on a Friday and then Mediterranean roast veg with garlic roast pork cutlets.

Congratulations to @Robin @Martin.A @Barrowman and last but never least @Grannylorraine on your HSs. Well done!

Have a lovely day everyone. Enjoy the good weather those who are lucky enough to have it!

6.4 this morning after a mix-up with anti-biotics and other meds. Eventually everything sorted out now.

It was cloudy earlier, but the clouds soon parted for sunshine, then the wind picked up making it difficult to breathe when we went on our walk - I walked further today than I usually do taking me about 15 minutes.
The breeze has calmed down ATM and a white-spotted afternoon is revealed but still warm.

Congratulations to @Robin @Barrowman @Martin.A and finally @Grannylorraine making up the quartet for HSs today.

Well, not much sleep, about 2 hours once the zombie me stayed up to put in the reduced tresiba & pills. Then, was awakening by my youngest brother, AKA who’s name means rich & famous, came by for a visit & introduced me to their extremely shy daughter to their “Goo Ma” auntie which made me feel “old”! o_O

He was just back from HK as well as he spends about half his time there with his wife & family.

Finally got the much stronger than me, chunkier brother & I’m chunkier too with the both of us laughing over “The Middle Aged Spread”, to open the dishwasher box in the inner porch. He lifted it out for me onto the sink side drainage area & now it’s up there I’ll read the instructions & set it up at some point.

Took photos of the family of four in front of the house for him: he wanted my picture; I said “No Way!” On just 2 hours of sleep, unbrushed hair as he woke me up after the early hours of heading off hypo territory earlier! But, I said he could take my picture on the family Sunday lunch just outside Portrush. :D

They didn’t stay long & just left now, for the second time, as my still a bit forgetful brother left his backpack in the living room & called him to let him know so, he knows where it is & pick it up on Sunday: used to drive us mad as a child &, when I first met his wife, nuts too leaving stuff behind; SIL & I rolling our eyes at his doziness! He drove back & I said you still have a dozy head leaving stuff behind & joked is there anything else so, you don’t come back a 3rd time today! 🙄o_O:rofl:

It was lovely to see the wee family of four, now as it’s been a few years when it was still a family of three since I saw them! <3:D

So, Sunday Lunch coming up on Sunday before he flys back to London on Monday! :D

Good afternoon folks.
Congratulations to the fabulous four HS today @Robin , @Martin.A , @Grannylorraine and @Barrowman
Only an 8.2 for me this morning.

Took SiL back home for her hospital appointment. Plaster cast off and supportive boot on. She has to gradually wean herself off crutches over the next 6 weeks. Fracture is quite minor but a fair bit of soft tissue damage. She has plenty of local help this week so we headed home this afternoon. 29 deg C according to the car. Waiting for it to cool down before I mow the lawn. Fingers crossed the rain will stay away until it's dark.

Enjoy your weekend people's.
Hope your mum is OK @Eternal422

Evening was 6.6 on waking this morning
Yesterday haven’t got a clue what my BS was (on waking) as sensor failed in middle of the night @3am was reported to Abbott and replacement is on its way

I’ve had a busy few days, loads going on including mobile phone packing up, so yesterday was mostly spent syncing the data and trying to log in having forgotten passwords and memorable words etc..

TC

03:19 BS 4.1 with about 2 hours in the red. Usual loo trip raised it a little bit to BS 4.4 & dinged a frozen asda spaghetti bolognaise as it was the least effort to try & avoid more red on the graph. It worked & it was BS 6.6 when I ate & bolused a very conservative 36NR.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Up early today as I conked out early yesterday after my brother’s family had left: only ate once; takeout seafood paella he brought as they’d just eaten lunch & got a takeout for me as well.

Have yet to read the dishwasher instructions & will do so at some point today as well as set it up to start washing dishes!

I’m still tired & only woke, I think for food as I was in the red while I slept! Will try & catch up on more sleep now if I can: rest my eyes if I can’t; left eye is still a bit twitchy despite a bit of sleep. My left eye was very twitchy yesterday as it’s still the eye that tires more easily being the most recently operated on from cataracts: it’s my dominant eye as my right has ghosting problems with glare & reflections which is most pronounced when reading the numbers 1 & 11; have to squint, closing my right eye to check if 1’s are single as it gets reflected as a double image on shiny surfaces!

Oh yes! My brother gave me some cash yesterday so, saw my first Bank of England £50 note with King Charles III on it: just one note as the rest were still Queen Elizabeth II; he looks older than his mum was at the time her image was done! :D

I had been wondering, on & off, when we would get the new money with King Charles on it; have now seen one BOE £50 note! :D

Bonjour.

C’est un special du maison pour moi this matin!

It’s tres warm and stuffy so I’ve put the fan on and will try and get more sleep as I only went to bed at 1:30.

Two show day today. Seeing Hercules this afternoon and it’s my first Disney stage musical. It’s still in preview but it ought to be fun.

Friend is meeting up with me after that then we’ll get some food before seeing Godz this evening. According to the marketing it should be quite entertaining for two fully fledged homosexualist gentlemen but only time will tell if it’s that which is accurate or if it’s the reviewers who’ve said that it’s 75 minutes of subpar end of pier jokes and zero narrative relying too much on light nudity and titillation.

So I’m not the only one awake early! Flat 5.4 all night, the Mounjaro does a great job at helping to regulate my levels. We’re moving next Friday but no packing today as granddaughters birthday party

Good morning, 5.6. Cool and cloudy at the moment after a sweaty night. The forecast storms bypassed Southampton, although I think further east got a good show. I will head out with the dog soon so she can have a good walk, she struggles with the heat.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Tebrikler @ColinUK (congratulations in Turkish)

Morning all. 4.9, skimmed the bottom line all night it seems. It did mean I ate breakfast almost straight away, had to cook a duck egg, toast my bread and make myself a cuppa. 10 minutes!

It has absolutely poured down all night, we both woke about 4, loo trip, then opened the curtains and listened to the rain and thunder. We had hoped to catch some lightening but couldn’t keep our eyes open. Dozed on and off until 6.30. No idea what we’re doing today apart from a visit to our “French” relatives who are home at the moment awaiting their annual visa to be renewed. They live in France 8/9 months of the year, only coming home for the winter. They’ve talked about selling up soon, they retired in their 50s and bought the house soon after. They aren’t getting any younger, BIL is 71 SIL 68, and although they’re both generally in good health they know that might always be the case.

Congratulations @ColinUK on your spécialité de la maison. I knew my mediocre French O Level would come in handy one day!

Have a super, hopefully not as soggy as us, Saturday.

Morning all. 🙂 8.1 here. Give the Omnipod 5 a round of applause, it’s tried its best over the last 4 1/2 months but I’m switching to manual mode permanently tomorrow.

What a day yesterday. Sunny all morning then torrential rain for the drive home in the evening. It’s looking very damp out there atm. I’m off to our annual Gwyl y Dysgwyr / Welsh learners’ bash today. Lots of fun activities this morning then the awards ceremony this afternoon. I wonder who’s won Learner of the Year? Watch this space...

Morning all, 6.7 here. We had a teaspoonful of rain last night, nothing more. Just as well we didn’t rely on it and watered all the pots. Found two lily beetles in flagrante on my lilies, I’m afraid I spoiled their fun. Also found some lily beetle offspring busy chomping the leaves, so they’d obviously been at it before!

Morning all. 3.8 and looking at the graph i've been that all night, despite juice. Its a very flat red line for hours. Yesterday i struggled to keep levels up all day. Last week i couldn't keep them down.

Its very dull out there this morning, we've had some rain overnight but not much.

@ColinUK congrats on the HS. Enjoy your two show day.

A very close Maison Speciale with a cinq point trois- congratulations @ColinUK on yours today!

We also have a special day today - my wife has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list to receive an MBE! We have known for over a month but had to keep it secret until it was published in the London Gazette last night/today.

In other news, my mum is ok, she had a big cut in her scalp which nicked an artery (dramatic spurting when they removed the bandage the paramedics had applied) and it resulted in some very rapid stitching needed by the ED doctors. Even so she lost about a litre of blood, so they put her on fluids and kept her in overnight. Hoping to take her back to the care home later today.

Have a good Saturday everyone!

@ColinUK Félicitations à toi Colin pour l'obtention de la spécialité de la maison :star:
A 5.8 for me this very wet Saturday.
