Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 6.1 here. Nice work, Omnipod 5.

Tired this morning. Hubby tosses and turns most nights, so I don’t get my proper beauty sleep. I really must keep the spare bed clear of “things to do” so that I can sleep there instead. I’m pooped!

Sending lots of (((hugs))) @eggyg. I hope they move a bit faster now that your granddaughter’s had a scan and they can see the problem. I can’t believe what they put her through!
We have a memory foam mattress and it doesn't bounce about hardly at all when moving about (it's usually the snoring that sends me into the spare room) but we notice a big difference when sleeping (or not) in a different bed like in hotels like Premier Inn.

Morning all - there's a light overcast and the sun is trying to break through. Whether it will or not remains to be seen, but at least there's no wind.

8.3 this morning @ 8:30. The Libre low alarm went off around 7ish and I ate 3 Dextrose that pushed it up there from 3.9. Was trying to disturb hubby as little as possible as he had an early start to go for an MRI scan for back pain that he's been suffering for years. No results were communicated apparently. We shall have to wait and see.

Today we might finally get our Sunday dinner. On Sunday I discovered that half the chicken was frozen solid due to being at the back of the fridge. We had Swedish style meatballs instead. Yesterday we didn't get back from shopping until 6pm and I was too blooming tired to mess around plus we'd not have been eating until 9pm... we had fish fingers and chips instead.

Sillyness and it all pales into insignificance in light of what's happening to @eggyg 's granddaughter. I do hope now they have discovered the cause she will receive prompt and effective treatment. Seriously wishing her well and keeping my fingers crossed for her Elaine.

Hope you all have a pleasant day.....

8.2 and i dont know why mat be the diabetic lady doesnt like me

After we stayed in a Premier Inn for the first time we (well, mostly my wife) were so impressed with the mattress that we had a look to see what make it was. It was a Hypnos and that's what we have on our bed now.

We also have a top of the range Hypnos bed! It's incredibly comfortable - even for hubby with his bad back.

It's a 5.3 for me this chilly morning.

Have a good day folks.

A third for Hypnos! We went over to the factory in Princes Risborough, (which is only about an hour from here), where you could lie on them all and try them out (they offer you a coffee, too, to keep you awake!). That was after finding the Premier Inn beds really comfortable. You can buy a Premier Inn mattress, but the factory said they do them at a price for PI and only expect them to last 5 years, so we bought one of their regular ones, which was more expensive, but discounted in their factory shop, and it is still comfortable about 10 years later.

Our local furniture shop had a range of about 10 of all different prices and we spent about 3 afternoons lying on the different ones. The shop management (a local family) were most obliging. It was £1500 for the mattress and divan which is expensive, but sleep is priceless.

8.5 for me this morning but it was an hour or so earlier than usual as we decided to fill up the car with old cardboard boxes. I took them to the recycling centre after my keep fit session this morning. It has been showery all morning.
Yesterday I experienced first hypo. Started feeling very light headed and dizzy and out if sorts. Tested with FP 3.9 so glad awareness kicked in around 4. Took a couple of jelly babies followed by a chicken salad wrap. It was my own fault as we got so busy in the garden I lost track of time and ate 2 hours later than normal. Retested after 40 mins and back up to 5.9.

So sad to hear about your granddaughter @eggyg it must have been very scary. Glad they have diagnosed the cyst so she can get it treated. It sounds so painful. Poor lass. Sending hugs for a speedy recovery. :care:

@eggyg Really sorry to hear about your granddaughter I hope she will be sorted out quickly, I have no words to say how she was treated to begin with its terrible I have no confidence in the NHS whatsoever. 6.7 this morning high for me but I did drink a small flask of orange which I take up every night in case of a hypo, wen tot the loo, felt dizzy sensor had come off so just drank the juice so my fault.

4.1 and falling, I had a JB and fell back asleep, woke up with a 3.8 a couple of hours later... didn't have a anything as my BGs starting rising with FOTF. By the time we had brekkas they're were at 6.2.

Had a guitar lesson followed by encountering a period of psychosis, I quickly had 5mg Haliperidol feeling better after ten minutes or so. Went for a walk to try to feel better.

Hopefully @eggyg that your granddaughter will get some treatment now.

Morning all. 6.9 on yet another frosty morning.

Thanks for all your well wishes for my granddaughter. Much appreciated. She came home from hospital about 6.30 pm last night. She has/had a bulging disc, this in turn has caused the cyst. It’s not a serious threat but moderate threat, they called it, because of the pain. The neurologist in the RVI in Newcastle will get back to the consultant in the Cumberland Infirmary within the next 10 days, with a plan of action and an appointment. She’s been told it could be months! In the meantime, she’s been given gabapentin to help with the pain, she has to try and be as mobile as she can to ease any stiffness and to help relax the muscles. A physio visited and she walked her about with the crutches and she was able to go up a few steps so they were happy ( ish) for her to go home, they had been reluctant at first but she insisted she’d do as she was told, she was desperate to get out. She left me a voice note last night, she’d had a shower for the first time in almost a week and the painkillers were working, she was so happy she was home and she seemed very positive about her future, she’s going to get through it she’s says, she is going to ask work if she can skip some jobs, ( when she eventually goes back) she works in retail so lots of heavy lifting at times, maybe just be on the tills, at least until her appointment at Newcastle. Fingers crossed.

Today I’m up at the crack to take 18 year old grandson to work for 7am. He stayed at ours last night. I’ve already been showered so just need breakfast when I get back and we’re off to do childcare, for two, at daughter’s house at 8.15, the girls are invited to a party and as we have a two seater car we can’t transport them, but it’s only a 10 minutes walk from where they live so it made sense, just means I can’t potter about doing jobs. I prefer WFH! 😉

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Morning folks. Bit of a MH rollercoaster going on but I’m nicely strapped in and I’m keep my hands inside the car until the ride stops.

Meanwhile, 5.2!

Morning so pleased your granddaughter is on the road to recovery albeit it will take some time @eggyg and congrats on HS @ColinUK
A 6.1 for me after going low early evening then some Dextrose and a cereal bar as I had to pick my son up from work so had to get my BG back up.It stayed fairly level in 6s then started to rise before bed so had to have a correction dose and had a nice downward trend overnight.
Nice day on Wirral yesterday and in St Helen’s today for a diabetes talk which is good as not done one for a while. Then off to Colwyn Bay tomorrow which really looking forward to as visiting a new cafe.
Anyway hope you are all well and seize the day.

Morning all, 7.6 here, I was pottering along nicely in the 5s round about 4am, then the Diabetes Fairy obviously dropped in.
I’m glad your granddaughter has been able to get home, @eggy, and that the hospitals are developing an action plan for her, half the battle is being taken seriously and feeling you have a consultant on your side.
