Group 7-day waking average?

As @everydayupsanddowns says, the way I do it gives the option of reducing the image size before sending, which I always do. I will sometimes screenshot a picture so I can crop it using the snipping tool, and then paste that into a post.
Sound advice Martin, thank you.

late today 5.1 this morning, well it looks like my fight for funding for DMO treatment is at an end, I had an email from the ICB who said sorry I should not have been offered treatment at SpaMedica in the first place as there is no pathway to fund my condition, in other words it would be to costly, that's what I think is the reason. So ive emailed Spa Medica and asked what the cost is to go private, bet they won't ignore that email, I do feel very let down by the NHS, a phobia is a condition and its not just me not wanting to go to Hospital, its like walking into a den of Lions that haven't been fed for a month.

So sad to hear after all the delays and passing thr buck that the NHS choose not to support your request. I hope that you are able to get treatment quickly now albeit as a private patient.

Thanks I could write a book about the incompetent way everything has been dealt with, knowone has any idea, there has been so much conflict its just a joke, the best part is, everyone ends up saying I need treatment and I HAVE to go, and treats me like a child that has throne there dummy out of the pram, even the letter I got today ended up with, your GP will be in touch to arrange treatment as your local hospital. which isn't happening,I haven't dare post how high my BP has been over the last few weeks which I know will only make my condition worse.

Morning a 7.1 for me and went low before bed so had two biscuits and no correction doses so stayed in 7s all night so happy enough.
Odd twinge from w/ ends exercise but better than yesterday so not too much reaction.
On Wirral today and another routine day so just had cup of tea after taken dogs out and may just have another 30 minute lie down as part of morning relaxation.
Enjoy your week all and good luck if you are having a flutter at Cheltenham.

15.7 going up no idea why. Several corrections in the night. Shattered now.

Have a good day.

8.3 for me on waking this morning, but FOTF caused it to jump after I got dressed and before breakfast. Have a great day everyone...

Morning all. 5.6. The additional half unit of basal has worked. Or it could be a coincidence.

We got a shock yesterday. Long story short. Our 18 year old granddaughter was taken by ambulance to hospital last Thursday as she was in excruciating pain with her back ( this has been going on for a couple of years and she’s been to GP but this was on a different level) she couldn’t feel one of her legs and therefore she wasn’t able to get in the car. 111 called the ambulance originally. It took 14 hours to come! She had an XRay they couldn’t see any problem but she was screaming in pain. Gave her morphine. That helped. Family begged for an MRI, this was Friday by then. “Don’t do them on a weekend” and “she had a settled night so doesn’t need one” yes, but only because of the morphine! They eventually agreed they’d do one on Monday. She’s had a terrible few days, they stopped the morphine, would only give her paracetamol. Poor thing. Her mother is very distressed with it all. Had an MRI yesterday morning. She has a cyst on her spine. This, apparently, is quite rare especially in young people. They’ve called a specialist in Newcastle to see what the next steps are. They’ve put her back on morphine plus codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. She’s a lot more comfortable, she’s got crutches to help her get to the loo. I’m not saying they fobbed her off, probably thinking she was exaggerating, and I know backache is different for everyone but she’s only just turned 18 in an adult ward full of old folks and limited visitors allowed for one hour twice a day. Let’s hope we find out today what’s to be done. I haven’t slept very well.

Childcare for one today, that should keep our mind off things. It’s the not knowing and of course you only ever think of the worst case scenario. I’m going to pop up this afternoon, Mr Eggy went last night.

Have a great day.

Morning all. 5.9 after a correction before bed. Levels were high yesterday with stress from phone calls to and from the hospital re mum.

@eggyg i'm so sorry to hear about your granddaughter. What a shock and it must be frightening for all your family and your granddaughter herself. Hopefully the docs at Newcastle can do something or advise. Big hugs to you and my thoughts are with you all. Take care.

Morning all, 6.9 here.
We knew someone in our village whose daughter had a cyst on her spine as a teenager, @eggy. We weren’t close, so I never knew the precise detail but remember her mother saying it had taken ages to be taken seriously and get a diagnosis. This was about 20 yrs ago, and she made a full recovery, (now married and moved away) but it can’t be that rare if I can immediately think of someone! You’d have hoped the doctors would have done a thorough investigation. I hope she gets the attention she needs from the doctors now on.

good morning 6.6 today

quite shocked just now reading what your granddaughter went through @eggy in trying to get to hospital and then get the scan that has now showed why she was in so much pain
Instances like this show how some of our healthcare services isn’t fit for purpose, despite most of the staff struggling to keep it running doing such a great job themselves, on a positive note they now know what the problem is :care:

I did go BTW yesterday although it wasn’t easy, will see how things go for the rest of the month

TC everyone 😎

Morning all. 6.1 here. Nice work, Omnipod 5.

Tired this morning. Hubby tosses and turns most nights, so I don’t get my proper beauty sleep. I really must keep the spare bed clear of “things to do” so that I can sleep there instead. I’m pooped!

Sending lots of (((hugs))) @eggyg. I hope they move a bit faster now that your granddaughter’s had a scan and they can see the problem. I can’t believe what they put her through!

Had quite a disturbed night with one scary dream that I remember. ..... Our bedroom Alexa began whispering inaudible words and flashing lights on and off. It then let out a Vincent Price blood curdling laugh. I felt trapped and couldn't move......
Then I woke up and found I had somehow got trapped in the duvet and the cat was sitting on my chest. PHEW! 😱

It was a 6.2 when I finally woke this morning. 🙂

4.9 for me but only because I jabbed a 1.5u correction earlier when levels were at 7.5 and drifting upwards.

@eggyg Really sorry to hear about your granddaughter. Poor soul! You must all be incredibly worried. I hope they get a treatment plan sorted soon so that you can put all those scary thoughts out of your mind and replace them with clear facts and hopefully a good doctor to resolve the issue. Keeping fingers crossed for you all. Big (((HUGS)))

So sorry to hear about your granddaughter’s experience @eggyg and wish her well now they have identified the issue.
I know they are under cost and time pressure but I wish they would make more sound judgement when some one is obviously in huge distress.
It reminded me in a small way when I was waiting for the ambulance with my Pancreatitis attack when not only we had to wait ages. for the ambulance but the crew asked would I prefer to stay at home and have some paracetamol when I was obviously in a lot of discomfort.
I was shocked at their reaction but it is insignificant compared to your grand daughter’s situation so really do wish her well

Morning

5.5 today and hoping to get my rest day today, although I will be walking to my mum’s later but it is only 1/2 hr walk, and pretty bright if slightly cooler. Yesterday hubby managed to leave work at 9am after working 3 hrs of his shift, se we both went over to FIL house, hubby and son in law loaded the skip and then worked on the back garden while I continued upstairs. I didn’t fill so many black bag, because I was working on paper work I found in FIL bedroom which actually belonged to the sister in law, out of the big bag of stack of paperwork I filled 3 black sacks with all the flyers and other assorted rubbish and less than 1/2 a black bag of actual paper work that either contained an address or was the sort of paper work she would need to keep. I am dreading even more on starting on her room as we can already see all the hoarding.

@eggyg - what a scary experience for the family and your granddaughter, I hope the hospital Newcastle can assist quickly.

What a fright for you all with your granddaughter. Our eldest had a similar experience when he was 16 years old. Fobbed off as growing pains for several months, I had to collect him from school several times as he could not manage a full day or climb the stairs, , lost weight ......it was awful. Eventually drove him in pjs to the GP who immediately arranged for me to take him to hospital. He had an emergency scan and they found an abscess actually on his spine. Surgery at 1am, but RBS was great.....those were the days. Anyway, he made a full recovery apart from a small scar and is now 47 years old. Your granddaughter is young and the young can be surprisingly resilient.
Sending best wishes and hugs.

5.7 for me on this bright but sunless Berkshire morning. Temperature's dropped a bit from the weekend's highs, too. My wife and our eldest have left for their offices, our youngest has no shift today so I don't expect to see him until later and I have to hang around waiting for the mobile mechanic. Wherever he gets parts from gave him the wrong one so he couldn't complete the job yesterday. He's back today with (fingers crossed) the right part. Depending on what time he's here I might miss out on my regular Tuesday swim. If so I'll go tomorrow instead.

Hopefully your granddaughter can now get the care and treatment she needs, now that they know what's wrong @eggyg
Sounds like she's had a pretty rough time.

Following our trip to Chichester Uni on Saturday our youngest has now taken up the offer of a place, having previously deferred it. It'll be strange not having him at home but we think it'll be good for him.

Whatever your plans, have a good day.

Morning All 6.2 for me this morning. @eggyg I'm so sorry to hear about your poor Granddaughter - no-one should wait 14 hours for an ambulance - that is shameful. I'm sure now they know what's causing the paint they will give it the serious attention that it deserves and that she will be in good hands at Newcastle. xxx
