Group 7-day waking average?

Have woken to a 5.6 this morning. My wife and our eldest have left for their offices and our youngest is leaving shortly for his shift at Tesco, which means I'm on me tod today unless I can get someone to come round and look at our washing machine. Drained it yesterday via the little tube at the front - it took nearly an hour - and removed the filter expecting to see a blockage but no, it was completely clear. Rang someone we've used in the past and left a voicemail, so hopefully I'll get a call back later.

My wife's birthday tomorrow so I have some pressies to wrap, some balloons to blow up and our Happy Birthday banner to retrieve from the 'party box' in the garage. She has tomorrow off and we're planning a day out at NT Hughenden.

And it’s a 5.3 for me on another grey morning.
 
Morning all - rather than grey, today is a more cheerful blue and white Cornish sky.

4.4 this morning, dropping quickly to 4.0 and an alarm. 2 Dextrose and half a stem ginger cookie shoved it up over 9. Interesting to see how sharply it rose! I seem to be very carb sensitive.

Today is "Wobbly Wednesday" when locals get a discount on drinks in the local, so as usual we shall be meeting up with our group of friends there early evening for an hour or so of chit chat and laughs. Dinner is left-over lasagna from yesterday (which was deliciously different - thank you Mary Berry). I might make a banana loaf today. I've got a load of uncooked fresh lasagna sheets left over. Might cut them into strips and make a tagliatelli dish tomorrow.

To be honest I never thought it learned enough in the 6 months I gave it. My feeling was that it was a badly written piece of software.

Rather than correction doses, which once they're in they're in, did you consider doing temp basals, which can be switched off if not needed any more?
 
4.3 today for me. No evening Levemir but spent a couple of hours in the red last night and no DP or FOTF this morning so got to eat breakfast straight away followed by a JB as dropped back into the red.

Had another frustrating day yesterday as the ponies from the field above had pushed through the fence in with mine. My horses were not happy at all as they have always lived together as a family and are very protective of their little herd. I am particularly concerned about Rebel as he sees it as his job to repel any invaders and he hasn't recovered from pulling a tendon last year but nevertheless, he was charging across the field which is fast turning into a quagmire chasing these two ponies away from his family. He is an old man now at nearly 28 and it isn't good for him to be putting his body through that! My car is still out of action so I had to walk another mile up to the house of the guy who rents the field only to find that he doesn't know whose ponies they are because he sub lets which is totally contrary to the rental agreement. I had to haul extra haylage up the hill to keep my horses and their ponies separate and then haul a roll of pig wire all the way up the hill from home to patch the fence where they had broken through and then wait for the owners of the ponies to turn up because their field gate was padlocked and so was mine and there was no way I could get their ponies back through the gap.
When the guy came to catch them, Reb decided he was going to protect the humans from the invaders too so he kept herding the ponies away from the guy that was trying to catch them and then Rascal decided to join in and this guy was nearly sent flying by my two lads in tag team mode! It was dark by then and getting quite dangerous because hooves were flying and the field is ankle deep in mud in places and keeping your footing on a muddy slope isn't easy. Hopefully the ponies have learned that they are not welcome and will not push through again. I wouldn't care but they have a massive field with plenty of grass and there is nothing in mine apart from what I carry up for my horses. Anyway, I got plenty of exercise yesterday and hence my overnight low and lack of FOTF this morning! Onto my second jelly baby of the morning since getting up!
 
6.1 after another night in the 6s.

This mornings cloud has given way to sunshine and intermittently blue sky/white clouds, the breeze is still cold but has dropped somewhat as discovered when I had a walk down to the bottom of the alley, discovering my bin was now empty, I brought it back. Amazingly that it hadn't been interfered with by our neighbour!

OH was on top form when we rose earlier, she's asleep now on the sofa.

Tried to contact EE earlier but was given the runaround by the website/app.
I managed to cancel the order with them - what's the point of going over to them is if they're not accessible? I'll upgrade the BT account to something more fitting.
 
5.2 this morning, yet another pointless day yesterday arguing with the referral manager, no explanation as to why I was not informed that the latest eye clinic appointment which had been rejected because they don’t do the treatment, but know one bothered to let me know, all he said was he will look into it, long story short I got so stressed hubby took over the phone call, he told the guy that SpaMedica at Newark said we were out of the catchment area but they offered me a appointment at Newark hospital, his reply was, ill get back to you on that one, I am so fed up with it all.

I’m not doing temporary basals cos I want to see what the system can do tbh. It’s only 2 weeks since training day, so early days. I want it to work - it might still be settling in (like me after 17 years, hahaha, groan).

Hi @freesia it sounds like you may have plantar fasciitis, try and rest it as much as possible until you speak to your GP

I've ordered some socks today and have a compression support type of thing which i'm going to try as well. Every little helps.

If it is plantar fasciitis then insoles for your shoes is pretty effective, they are specially shaped and support the heel.
If you have a Scholl or chiropody shop near you they can do an assessment otherwise you may wait months for a podiatry appointment.

I do have some insoles which were given to me by a physio a while back. They're in my boots. Hopefully, with the socks, insoles and the support thingy it will heal. I had a free booklet pushed through the door earlier and on the front was an advert from a local chiropody/podiatry place. I've kept it just in case.
 
Morning a 5.9 for me after a 1u correction dose just to bring me down a touch ( 7.9 going to bed) and it worked fine with a lovely nights sleep and a lie in.
Nice day yesterday on the Wirral and trip to seaside today so Llandudno and Rhyl but still too cold for ice cream which I love.
Anyway have a good day all and love is in the air at least in the Supermarkets with the Valentines offers on Chocolate.
