Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all - there was blue sky, but we are back to grey again!

6.3 first thing.

Had a nice evening yesterday playing Carcassonne. Our friends enjoyed it and the 9 year old daughter of one came joint first with me. Which I thought was pretty good. The friends have said they'd like to do it again some time.

Not a lot on today except washing towels/bed linen and maybe fit in a walk. Thought of you @eggyg as we have got the whole duck out of the freezer to cook for dinner tonight. Got a recipe off the Gressingham site for Roast Duck and Potatoes with honey and Rosemary.

@eggyg hope the pain in your head has lessened or gone away altogether.... HUGS!

A basal test or two will tell you. I always found Lantus peaky, but it depends on how much Abasaglar is similar to Lantus.

6.1 for me.

Mr B is on a long shift so it's a quiet one for me and the kids (who are 22, 20 and 14 so may or may not see them around the house today - most likely place is at the fridge!) I was going to go to church but did wake up, switched off my alarm, instead of snooze, and fell back to dozing! Will try and catch up online later.
 
Good morning 6.6 on waking today

yesterday afternoon my Libra sensor threw a wobbly and failed, then the one I was replacing it with was doing weird things after starting it the app didn’t recognise it, said it had been started with another device ? then although it would scan it couldn’t display as CGM with the usual every minute updates trends etc
Out of frustration everything deleted on phone yesterday evening new sensor applied this morning, both now reported via online as faulty .

Today Mrs @goodybags has got me searching the internet to try and diagnose how to replace the ignition switch on the gas hob (first step will be YouTube I think) it’s definitely faulty. My sister is heading over to our place later today, she’s going to take me down to Oxford for my eye surgery tomorrow morning, right now I’m thinking I wish I had tasked her at looking at the hob, obviously she has 2 good eyes vs me (currently with one) my Dad was a engineer and he could fix pretty much anything. I don’t have the patience that he did but my sister does.

It was a 5.5 for me at 08.30 this fine sunny morning.
 
5.8 again this morning expected it to be higher as hubby had his 6 month scan today, I always get stressed he just takes it in his stride, its done at a mobile scan in the hospital grounds so no waiting, in fact we were 20 mins early he went straight in and out in 10 mins now we have to wait until mis January for the results

6.8 again for me this morning but a very different night. Went to bed on 9.9 but with about 5 active units of Fiasp on board as well as carbs. Came down whilst I slept just below my high alarm (8.2) and then activated it just before 3am. Wasn't sleeping well so jabbed 1.5 correction and went back to sleep but was still 8.1 at 3.25am and by 7am I was into double figures and a sloping upwards arrow, so jabbed another 5 units and went back to sleep and an hour later I was down to 6.8 when I jabbed Levemir and thought about getting up, assuming that the 5 units would cover FOTF but no, 5 mins later my high alarm went off and I was 8.8 and heading upwards fast so jabbed another 3 units. My overnight levels are so difficult to manage. I had increased my Levemir to 3 units last night just before bed but you really wouldn't have guessed.

I got in the house at 3.50pm after being out with the horses. Levels were 8.6 so I jabbed 7.5 units and made myself a coffee and I have no idea where those 7.5 units went because I am now on 8.8 an hour and 20 mins later and sick of looking at my tea. Going to jab another 4 units in the hope it will prompt what is left of the first 7.5 to do something!! Arrghh! Sometimes Fiasp is so responsive and I am so sensitive to it and other times it is just like water! I should have jabbed it earlier when my high alarm went off at 8.2 but I was busy with the horses.
 
Good evening everyone! 8'1 this morning. Not so bad considering it was 10.6 yesterday and an whooping 14.2 the day before.

In one of my recent posts I said I was having great food, better company and bad blood glucose levels. That's a good summary for the week I spent in Spain. The BG part got actually terrible, reaching 20 on my Libre one night (I think it's the first time) and with my TIR down to 22% on the last day. I was almost happy to end my holiday so I could get a grip on my diabetes management, how sad is that? 🙄

I came back yesterday and today's graph is already looking more respectable. I walked to Asda in the morning, taking a bit of a detour, and had another walk in the evening before sitting at home with a book. A big contrast being on my own all day, tho it was good to have a quiet one before going back to work tomorrow. They must think I am full of energy after my holiday because they scheduled me for soooo many hours... Oh well, better get some extra cash before the low season!

trying to not be noisy although awake, my Sister is camping on her AirBed (in the lounge) we had planned here in @goodybags towers to all wake up today at around 08:00
Sis’ drove down from Lincolnshire to us yesterday afternoon, having offered to Chauffeur me over to Oxford for midday today (eye surgery today) the Insomnia / Diabetic sleep deprivation fairy had other ideas / didn’t want me to get a good nights (but hey 4 hours sleep is better than 3) & according to my phone I did get in 16 minutes worth of snoring in

Toe is healing up by the looks of it 🙄 (but still black in one area) maybe Mrs @goodybags might've been right when she suggested, had I rested it & worn the fashionable medical shoe the podiatrist gave me maybe slightly more (rather than trainers and going to work) before Christmas my toe might’ve by fully healed I would now be able to shower without my foot in a dry bag and put on any footwear I want to by now
I say any footwear, however since I had arthritis in my left ankle I just live in trainers anyway

I’m going to look a right sight if I’m wearing both a medical sandal and a eye dressing (when I’m out & about in a few days time) .... still the Hospital will sign me off work for initially a fortnight following todays procedure so might not have to see to many people for next two weeks maybe

although on the 6th im due to jump on a video conference call (at work) the last one I joined was both interesting and rewarding, so glad to be part that focus group now,
also on the 6th have podiatrist and GP appointments.

Good morning everyone! 6'7 and a flat line, yay!

Last night my colleague texted saying there was a fire at our workplace, fire brigade came and they had to stand outside for 40 minutes. I asked him to confirm if we have to work this morning or not, was waiting for his answer until 10 minutes before my time to leave the house. Yes, we do have to go. I'm all wrapped up and on my way :D
 
Morning folks. 6.2

Got my application to be part of the Olivier Awards judging panel off yesterday. Apparently they take only 14 members of the public per year so if I ever get an interview I’ll be doing well.

Had to write a 150 word review of something you’d seen this year and give a list of everything else you’d seen. I chose to review Titanique as it’s fresh in my mind and I bought the program which meant I didn’t have to go hunting for cast or crew names.

Going through my calendar and trying to recall everything I’d seen in 2024 was a job and a half! I know I’ve missed some but I had a list of 61 productions by the time I’d finished. That’s across opera, ballet, musicals and straight theatre.

I’ve applied to be on the panel for opera, dance and theatre and they should respond relatively quickly as they want to have everything wrapped up by the end of January before the judging season starts in February.

Other than that, going for walks, reading, and trying to decide if I really want to do a transatlantic cruise next October rather than go to California/Arizona and being IT support for the folks I’ve not done that much. Today is gym, speaking with MH about an assessment for EMDR on the NHS, an art exhibition (Drawing the Renaissance - at the King’s Gallery which is Buckingham Palace Mews), a public communal Chanukah celebration with singing and donuts (it’s traditional to eat fried foods during the right days of this festival) and lighting of the candles and running the numbers to see if the cruise makes sense or not there’s not much to do today!

I will 100% attend the Chanukah thing though as there’s been a spate of the public menorahs (the candelabra is called a menorah or more technically correctly a chanukiah) being vandalised and I want to stand up and be counted as being Jewish. It’s really rather upsetting how many of them have been vandalised this year so I’m going.
 
7.3 this morning. Got a horrid cold so feeling sorry for myself but have largely held it together BG wise over Christmas. A couple of spikes here and there where I've not guesstimated the carbs quite right but overall happy enough.

I'm trying to get back into flying RC planes so am building a little kit I've had for a couple of years. My wife got it me as a birthday present on 2022 but never got round to building it then quit flying for a bit. I miss it though so trying to get a free bits together that I can fly off some local fields...

6.2. Happy with that as a handful of celebrations fell into my mouth last night. Naughty of them!

Back to work for 1st time since Christmas Day. I don't want to go! I love my job but would rather be snuggled here with the family! Hey ho. I'm always fine once I'm there.

@ColinUK hope you are having a good Chanukah (shame about those vandals :( ) . My Jewish friend texted yesterday in our group chat saying she is so over the oily food, the praying and her grandma trying to marry her off to "good Jewish men". Oh, grandma's priorities are the same across cultures :rofl:
 
Morning all, 6.7 here. About to do the weekly supermarket run, I bought so much last week I thought I might be able to walk down to top up locally, but with two extra adults in the house, we seem to have got through all the fruit and veg, cheese, milk etc and I need somewhere with a carpark!
