Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a round 8 for me but happy enough as managed to stay in range despite the carb fest that is Xmas and had a really nice day.Our dogs get so excited with visitors and lots of wrapping paper to attack and Hetty Barkers favourite game of Kill the Squeaky Toy as quickly as possible. With all the excitement they sleep well as I did so woke up refreshed.
Plenty of nice food to eat over next few days as well and now the “ formality” of all the preparation of yesterday is over can relax even more and very much enjoy the days ahead.
Like most good to have some different activities to enjoy but nice to get back to some normality and routine.
Enjoy your Boxing Day and hope you manage some reflections on life, friends and family.

Morning all. 5.2 for me on waking, so decided to split bolus for (hopefully) a fairly flat morning. Yesterday morning was a bit of a mixed bag and I had to scramble to stay in range through lunch. Happily, though, things quieted down by dinner and for the rest of the evening. A flat night, though my low alert did chime once so I had a cracker and a sip of Lucozade to nudge it up a little.

Happy Boxing Day, my favourite day in the festive calendar. Very happy with a 5.8.
I didn’t overindulge, I actually can’t, as overeating makes me really unwell and it’s not worth it. For the first time ever, we didn’t have starters, I’d planned twice baked Gruyère and cheddar soufflés but when time came to make them we decided not to bother as Mr Eggy really wanted a pudding and decided to forfeit the starter. I was happy with that. Even with small portions of everything I couldn’t finish my turkey dinner and I definitely didn’t have a pudding. I’d made sticky toffee pudding for the first time ever, one of Mr Eggy’s all time favourites if we’re out for a meal. I was going hyper making it! Super, super sweet, he had it with his favourite ice cream of all time. Vanilla Haagan Dazs. I had half a teaspoon full, wow, far too sweet in my humble diabetic opinion. It would have surely tipped me over the edge if I’d had a full teaspoon full!. As it happened I had a steady line just over 8 from 6pm until I went to bed at 11pm when it dipped down to just over 7. I’ve woken up absolutely starving!

Today’s (only) job, if I chose to take it, is to play freezer Tetris and somehow squeeze in six sticky toffee puddings and half a cooked turkey! The rest of the day will be spent doing a big fat nowt!

Hope you’ve all had the best day and can now relax for the first time in weeks.

We had two Santas visit us yesterday to bring us presents. <3

Morning All - Just coming up for air before the rest of the family arrive today (daughter & boyfriend who spent it at his parents yesterday and daughter-in-law flying in from Paris). Yesterday was lovely but strange with some of them missing - still six of us though and it did feel easy! Hubby and two sons did the Lake District equivalent of a quick walk up in the hills that they used to do in Oxfordshire ... Striding Edge on Helvellyn! Rather them than me but it was rather nice having the house to myself to do all the lunch prep and we ate at 3pm. Have a lovely Boxing Day, whatever you're doing. Eldest son makes Beef Wellington today which will be delicious (or should be judging by how much Cranstons charged me for the fillet of beef!). xxx. Oh and I was 8.1. Did actually overindulge yesterday but as I didn't have supper I didn't do an evening bolus - should have bolused my lunch instead but didn't think about it and it was sensor change time last night.

Snap, @Northerner , 6.8 for me too.
I did better at guesstimating my insulin for yesterday evenings blowout of Goose, Xmas pud and rum sauce, followed by Thornton’s Choccies, than I did at lunchtime when I had a touch of the Himalayas after smoked salmon sandwich and a glass of Cava (think the bread was thicker than I realised, then I had some fruit afterwards)

Blimey, Striding Edge on Christmas Day. The furthest I walked was to the recycling bin!

Re Cranston’s prices! I get family discount and I still need to remortgage to buy a lump of beef! I will speak to my insider.😉

Enjoy your day. Xx

A surprising, but very welcome 5.5 this morning for me. I did need a correction bolus at 1:30am to achieve this though! All in all a reasonable day with BG yesterday despite having more than normal and a little bit of grazing in the evening (but we did miss lunch as the cooked breakfast kept us going until the Christmas dinner at around 4pm).

Nothing today until we go to my daughter’s in the evening.

Congratulations @littlevoice359 on your HS today!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning

4.2 this morning and stayed below 8 at all times yesterday, enjoyed my Christmas dinner but was too full so no mince pies or Christmas pudding. For me today will be a bigger challenge food wise as all the snacks, nibbles and chocolates around will be tempting, other than resisting that temptation I will be mostly sitting around watching all the programs we recorded from yesterday. Hubby was originally supposed to be working today so I didn’t make any plans, but at the weekend he was offered the chance to take today off.

I hope everyone had the kind of day they wanted, and for those that have plans to see family and friends have a wonderful day.

Congratulations to @littlevoice359 on your HS today.

A 6.2 for me this Boxing Day Morning. 🙂

7.7 for me, blood-sugars behaving yesterday to a point(!) They were flat-lining all night around 6-8.

We have friends around today as is traditional in our house, although not as many as in the past.

Emerged from Christmas comparatively unscathed compared to other Christmases over the last 32 years.
6.0 on Christmas morning, 7.7 on Christmas night before bed and 7.0 on Boxing Day morning. Might even have porridge for breakfast as a holiday treat ( with a dollop of Novorapid of course.)

A 7.4 for me this morning. I left Deep Thought to do his thing last night after an initial (fairly generous) bolus for Christmas Dinner. This is one of the strategies my rep recommended. On reflection I should have added my mop-up bolus about 2 hrs after the meal, because as the late evening wore on and my digestive system continued to work through the onslaught, my levels rose to about 12 (I am assuming because the pump’s boluses arrive later and after the rises start, rather than being taken earlier and being ready for action when needed.

Things came down gently overnight, and importantly not too far. That’s been one of the biggest differences I’ve noticed between the algorithms - I’m needing far fewer glucose nudges to avoid lows. So much so I’ve actually lost about a kilo!

A 5.7 for me today.

Morning all. 10.5. I managed really well nearly all day yesterday, staying around the 6s all day. Then after a tiny tea (i wasn't hungry) i had a stubborn hypo which when treated, just before bed, shot to 14. I had a correction but it still didn't come down below 10. Its now finally 7 and dropping.

Morning all. Very dull and grey.

5.3 whoo hooo. I did hit 18.1 yesterday. That was after the canapes I served with the 2 glasses of Espresso Martini for consumption whilst opening presents. The Espresso Martinis came ready mixed in a bottle we were given a while ago. I correctly dosed for the canapes - lovely shrimp and scallop ones from Sainsbury's - but I guess the Espresso Martinis were full of sugar. After that I managed nicely with dinner including Xmas Pud and went to bed on 7.1. Plenty of leftovers for today including some of the Chateaubriand and all the blooming veggies.

Was woken by an alarm, apparently the sensor and pod had lost touch. So I switched to manual and went back to sleep. It occurred to me later, Hubby had his hand on my waist over the pod!

I got some curious presents from OH, including a walking stick! It is a very elegant one but do I really need it? I know I have an arthritic knee... but?

Enjoyed Wallace and Grommit.

Congratulations to @littlevoice359 on your HS.

Have a lovely Boxing Day everyone.

5.8 for me this morning, but that involved an overly generous correction just before 4am and then 3JBs about 5.30am. The high felt far worse than the low, but very happy waking up to to a nice in range number and very grateful to Libre for helping me negotiate my night time turbulence with confidence.
Off to my sister's this afternoon for my favourite meal of the year.... Boxing Day leftovers! Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing day.
