Group 7-day waking average?

5.7 this morning. Late on parade today, having been occupied with grandchildren and taking them home then on to visit my parents. We arrived to find my father had fallen in the bathroom and had been there for 20 minutes, so at least we were able to get him up quickly and sorted out. Luckily no harm done. Did a few odd jobs during our visit and now safely back home in the warm and dry!

Take care everyone!

Good morning everyone. First up ?

All else is good.
Hip is getting better ...... slooooowwwwllllyyyyyy. Can't go out while it heals. Mind you with the recent weather who would want to.

At least we have sweet and sour fish with rice to look forward to tonight.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Good morning 6.9 today

back to work today for me, although I’ve two hospital appointments today, audiology (due to collect by hearing aids) this morning & DMO clinic this afternoon (with some work sandwiched somewhere in between)

Congrats on another HS @Gwynn &hope your phantom pain isn’t to bad @MikeyBikey :care:

Happy Monday everyone

Morning a 6.7 and a nice sleep all way through.
Finally all leaves are off the tree as a final Bert burst left only a few stragglers behind.
Did not go out yesterday apart from a B&Q expedition and a WFH today and an Evening Meeting in a North Wales Surgery to discuss Diabetes protocols.
Have a great week

GM everyone

5.6 for me, still with a cold, which is reflected on the 5.7.

Wishing you all a lovely day, with Storm Bert going away.

Morning all, 4.8 here.
What a wet weekend! Went out yesterday afternoon with son to check general state of the roads while it was still light, and came across several places where water was totally over the road. Stopped at a local farm shop in the hopes of tea, but they’d closed early, so called in at the Costa in the nearby market town - also shut, with a hastily scribbled sign on the door 'Closed due to water problems' It didn’t specify whether they’d got too much or too little!

Morning all. 6.0 for me.

Got my annual diabetes review this morning. They only do reviews on Mondays, so my boss is covering this morning’s class. Nice surprise for the students! I’m looking forward to finding out about the Hybrid Closed Loop, which I was promised last year but which hasn’t materialised. Mind you, it took them nine emails / 3 months to respond to my queries - I’m going to to point out that the centralised message service is NOT working (it won’t change anything!).

Bye bye, Bertie (fingers crossed)!

Morning all. 6.0. Nothing planned for today except a quick trip to Morrisons to pick up a couple of things (milk and some goats cheese. I've wrote them here so when i get there i don't forget and come out with other things 🙄) then back to sort out another kitchen cupboard.

Congrats on the HS @Gwynn.
@Bloden good luck with the review.
@MikeyBikey hope the phantom pain eases soon.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. 5.9 when I woke to Bert battering my old windows. He’s here until about lunch time, according to the BBC weather app. Which is unfortunate as we had halfed planned walking into town to go to a car park ( ironic) to attend Our Future Health appointments. We’ll play it by ear. It’s not raining at the moment which is good. There’ll have been lots of squeaky bums in certain parts of the city yesterday. The river Eden, the worst offender for flooding, was very, very high. There’s still flood warnings in the county, mostly the Lake District, and trains have been cancelled. I so feel for all those who have been flooded. Watching the news last night was awful. Hoping everyone on the forum is safe.

Have a Happy Monday, if you’re able.

She's beautiful, my father years ago rescued one but unfortunatly we had to get rid of him because he bit my father quite badly on the hand.
I can not remember his name he was jet black
You can’t remember your dad’s name?

Morning

4.6 today which is good after a weekend away, back at work after 3 weeks off, my anxiety is through the roof, hardly slept roll on next year when I am hoping to take early retirement.

Bakeclub with mum this evening but as I was away all weekend I haven’t had chance to bake anything

Morning and welcome to puppy world - actually I can't complain because we've had another night with no noise and no messes - the other two are obviously teaching her well. On the second night I heard make a little whine when I'd put her in her cage and I hadn't gone upstairs yet and my Scottie gave a little growl and she was quiet for the rest of the night. Her and Wilbur the boxer are going to be firm friends, but he'll get a bit of a shock when she keeps on growing! 7.8 for this morning. Dashing out in a mo as my Mum's having a bath put in this week (she's only had a shower there since she moved in last year and she hates showers) so she wants me to be there when the men arrive to start work. Have a good day everyone xxx

5.3 for me on a calm, grey and dry Berkshire morning after yesterday's complete washout. It barely stopped raining all day, although after watching the news we've clearly got off lightly compared to some parts of the country. The Council's decision to cancel our annual Winter Carnival was obviously right.

The worsening weather put me off driving to our eldest's futsal match so I streamed it instead. Just as well as I'd have driven there and back in atrocious driving conditions only to see him sent off for a second yellow card in the first half. They also lost, though I don't think his sending off contributed to that. As it happened the referee went and apologised to him after the match, saying that on reflection the second yellow card was a bit harsh and he'd refereed his team's matches enough times to know that he's not that kind of player. He now gets fined by his club and misses the next match. He's gutted as it's against Loughborough Uni, his alma mater.

As usual on a Monday we have three WFH, our youngest has a shift at Tesco (I still can't get used to typing Tesco rather than Sainsbury's) and I'll have to try and not disturb anyone, especially if they're on a call. Luckily I need to pop into town so that'll keep me out of the way for a while.

Congratulations Gwynn on another HS.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.

6.4

Nothing planned today other than maybe going to see Wicked at a quiet cinema this morning and maybe, maybe buying some walking boots. I’ll look at Hoka as they have a wear them, use them, run, walk, hike, climb mountains in them etc for 30 days and change your mind? No problem! Absolutely no quibble money back. And I’ll be taking them with me to Gran Canaria this week so no time to try anything out here beforehand.

I didn’t think I really needed any but looking at some of the walking I’m possibly going to do it’s definitely more trekking/hiking than a stroll in the countryside so I might benefit from footwear that’s up to the job.

And I saved a wedge of money yesterday! Well I say saved whereas it’s actually just not spent.

Convinced myself I needed to update my ancient iPad mini… found that Peter Jones had the just replaced iteration (6) in store and they’re reduced to clear… hopped on a tube to get me to Sloane Sq and it was so packed it was uncomfortable and I bailed at Green Park and strolled the hour home. So some of the money I saved can now be used to buy walking boots! That’s my logic anyway!

Oh and realised that I’d booked the car hire for the wrong days so cancelled and rebooked that for a week when I’m actually in the canaries rather than when I’m not

All day yesterday and throughout the night I've been sneezing and my right eye and nostril have been running constantly. A little bedtime tot of hot Bushmills and lemon gave me a couple of hours relief, but the left eye and nostril have joined in this morning. I've used about a half of a kitchen roll so far. Where does it all come from?
If a gallon of "water" weighs 10 pounds I guess I've lost a couple of pounds.
Still I managed to produce a 5.3. 🙂

Hopefully work isn’t as awful as you fear it might be. But if it is then do what needs to be done to safeguard your own health and wellbeing.

Morning all

Grim wet day yesterday, but a smashing Saturday at the Gift Fair, so a good weekend all in all.

A bleary-eyed 5.0 to get me going this morning.

Hope your day goes OK @Grannylorraine and your anxiety subsides.

Congrats on the HS @Gwynn
