Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. Not a waking reading as the sensor fell off in bed last night. Finger prick was 9.1. I'll report it to Abbott this morning as it still had 4/5days to go.

The weather here is rain all day but very mild. Nothing is planned apart from some cleaning.

Morning all. Early start for me today as octopus gave me two hours of free electricity.Unfortunatley it was from 7 am till 9 am .Had fan oven on cooking the meat . washing machine going twice .Hoover and steam cleaner going. And charging everything up I could. Phone.. Torches.Bluetooth speakers .Was a 12 .1 for me this morning.was expecting it as Friday afternoon and night was 4.1 for most of it lots of jobs and malted milk biscuits wasn't having an effect.Hence the liver dump early hours ..Have yourselves a cracking day folks

Morning everyone from a very wet and windy Bedfordshire.
BG this morning was a happy 5.6 which was good as I went to bed on a 14.9.

Have a good Sunday everyone and stay safe.

Morning all and 5.9 for me.

It's mild, grey and miserable but at least the downpour has stopped.

Mrs KHskel's brother got back from hospital yesterday morning after 14 hours. Scans and XRays revealed a broken arm . If only he'd have gone in when he actually fell he'd have been out a lot sooner.

Shopping required and there's snooker on the TV

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning 8.8 today woke up late today
I can hear the wind and rain out there, it still sounds quite angry, we never ventured outside yesterday probably won’t today either

Have a super Sunday everyone 😎

Hello everyone - sorry I've not been on but I've been in Canada for 10 days and was in so many time zones it was rather confusing (Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Waterloo, Toronto & Montreal!). I was accompanying hubby on a business trip - can't say business travel is my thing but we spent the weekend in the middle staying with my Mum's cousin and his wife and huge dog so that was fun and there was a bit of snow there when we arrived. Got back Thursday and on Friday drove to Lincolnshire to pick up our new gorgeous Briard puppy (how did that happen? We visited someone in Canada who breeds German shepherds (hubby had met him last year and he lives in a lovely old house and is extremely welcoming). He made us lunch and then his wife's 11 month old Briard puppy walked in and it was love at first sight and we remembered how much we loved our old dog D'Arty who we lost 4 years ago. All sense went out the window and I went onto puppy websites and hey presto - meet Elsa (after Elsa the lion from Born Free). 9.5 weeks of fluff and loveliness. The other two are being really good. Waking up to heavy snow here yesterday morning made the first loo trip outside a bit difficult but she performed and has been really good and slept through both nights so far - probably because she has the company of the other two next to her cage. Snow all gone now - incredibly wet yesterday and nice and windy today to blow away some more leaves hopefully. My TIR was great before I went to Canada, and even in the first few days, but once we got to our relatives it went steadily downhill and has been really ever since. I start my Injectable Therapeutic course on Tuesday which will be great. It's a short session this week and then 3 consecutive weeks of one whole day where we'll all be comparing what we've been doing displaying our sensor information up on a screen etc so I'm really looking forward to that. Woke with a bit of a headache this morning so hope that's nothing. Have a great day everyone. @eggyg I'd love to try your curried goat some time. Mark and I had it in Jamaica years ago because we were cheap-skates and had the local breakfast in the hotel which was curried goat and plantain - it was delicious!

I’ll be getting our Rhys to order me some goat in. It was absolutely delicious. So tender. I’ll let you know and I’ll ping you an invite. I’ll have to brush up on the rice and peas!
We need a photo of the new puppy. I’d never heard of the breed, so Googled it. They look gorgeous, hairy, but gorgeous.

Morning on this wet Cornish day. Wind and rain was making a dreadful racket during the night, but now it's so still... not a breath of wind.

6.3 this morning - better methinks.

Not much on today, except some ironing (not a lot) and cooking roast lamb. Got a half leg off the reduced counter
in Morrisons less than half price. I've got a load of peppers and tomatoes that need using, so might make Pepperonata to go with the lamb. Does that go with roast pots, or shall we have mash?

So... @TinaD I'd go for the option of the 2 large bedrooms with en-suites + a 3rd bed and family bath. Much better for when you have the family staying!

Have a super Sunday all....

Both of us having cheap ( er) lamb today. It’s great when you get lamb bargain isn’t it? I’ve just Googled pepperonata, sound similar to ratatouille which I love with lamb chops. We’re going traditional, carrot and HG swede, HG cabbage, HG leeks with cheese sauce, HG potatoes roastied and mashed! Can’t wait, and there’ll be plenty left for tomorrows tea.

oooh! You are so lucky to have all that home grown produce! Just wondering why you mash the roast potatoes?

Not sure what I was when I woke up, 7s I think.

I've loaded photos now - can you see them? 🙂

I obviously needed an Oxford comma! We have roasties AND mash! Mashing roasties would be sacrilege! 😱
This will be last of the HG King Edward’s, Mr Eggy had the foresight to bring them in from storage before the frost last week. We lost loads a couple of years ago when it got to -8 whilst we were on holiday! We’re going to grow more next year. They’ve been excellent. I’ll have to buy potatoes for the first time in six months. :(Plenty of swede, parsnips and leeks still in the ground and a huge cabbage!

Ran out of ordinary tea - EEK! Earl Grey doesn't cut it for post mucking out cuppa. Needed a diversion from my usual route to the shops. Water not just deep but fast flowing. When a valley floods head for the hills. ... The A road adds 3 miles but was only 6 inches deep at lowest point so purred through that with a bow wave. Happy to report my sleeping policeman is doing his duty - not a drop on the yard.

The “oh no” was for running out of tea! That’s only happened once and all we had was Mr Eggy’s first flush Darjeeling. (I don’t know who he thinks he is, raised on a council estate and attended the worst comprehensive school in the city, as did I, I lived in the next street and attended the same school where we met, he’s gone up in the world obviously, Whist I’m still a Tetley lass!) I call it his posh tea, it is revolting. I’ve never run out of ordinary tea again!
