Group 7-day waking average?

I have eaten curried goat in Jamaica and would have enjoyed it, except the butchers over there attack the goat with cleavers, consequently the curry was full of bone splinters and I spent the whole time picking them out of my mouth. Another time we had chicken pasties which were also full of bone! I love rice 'n peas tho!
This was all nicely diced up for me and pre packed. No bones in sight. It’s been no where near Jamaica, labelled Cumbrian goat! Full report tomorrow for you.

Hope your mum is OK @freesia do keep us updated
Thanks everyone for your wishes for mum. She's had fluid on her lungs for a few weeks and has been waiting for an outpatient appointment to get it drained. When she went to see the GP yesterday he sent her straight to hospital. They are hoping to do it Monday or Tuesday so fingers crossed.

@eggyg i've only tried goat curry once, in a restaurant in Porthleven. Delicious.

I am sure the Cumbrian goat meat will be absolutely delicious!

Hello everyone! 7'1, 70% in range for the week and good news, I finally have a working fridge!

Yesterday I went to my usual cafe to celebrate the birthday of one of the girls at book club, we all had a lot of fun and she was very happy. We played board games and I had previously told the owner about the birthday and gave him some candles, so he gave her a slice of cake for free and surprised her with the candles and singing. Lovely evening for all.

Today I'm also enjoying my day off, although the weather is dreadful. My work friend and his wife invited me to try another games cafe, this one in Exeter. You have to pay entry and preferably book in advance, seems more "advanced" than my local, but should be fun. I'm all for trying new places 😎

Have a nice rest of your weekend!

Good morning. 6.8

Weather quite windy, 22 mph gusting to 55, but we have had much worse - hope Bert doesn't find more breath later.. Very heavy rain over night, known as "double blobby" in the family, but it has washed away all the ice. I don't mind wellies and waterproofs but I desperately fear slipping.

I decided to give the people the extra 2k. Decided it was worth it to have somebody next door who will willingly look after Peachy and Wolf so I can go away sometimes. So I shall fill in the day playing about with a scale rule and paper. Can't decide if is better to make 2 large bedrooms (with en suite shower rooms) and a 3rd decent double next to a good bathroom or to go for 4 smaller ones with a large family bathroom...probably 3. I've done the kitchen plan - by turning it through 90 degrees it will be 6,x 4ms, lit on both ends and the one remaining old bedroom will make a modest study. Don't need to do much outside as fencing good and stables on site. Looks as if I will be sofa surfing for about a month and the indoor works should only need me to move out while various walls are removed - dust not being good for my COPD. I shall miss my splendid view but keep my excellent neighbours within dog walking distance.

Hope the weather is not causing anyone severe problems.
Definitely the on-suite shower rooms. It sounds like an exciting project.

Good morning everyone. First up.

BG 5.4

Yesterday weather was abysmal until about 4pm. So at that point I thought 'better go out and get tea for Sunday'. By the time I got back home my right hip was agony!

Rested for the rest of the day. This morning it feels better again. Not risking it again today by walking to church. Rest, rest, rest. It is getting better .... slowly.

So, another boring day ahead. Yawn.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning and an 8.4 so a bit of DP but 6s and 7s most of night.Miserable start to day getting wet but in the warm now after very short walks.
Very nice day yesterday with lunch out and busy with people buying Xmas trees and then left over Pizza. Also called to see BiL who has just come out of hospital and also hard to judge his true mood as is one of natures grumpy so and sos ( the woe is me kind). He does have some serious health issues but can suddenly get full of himself when telling stories about his embellished life experiences..
Typical would be moaning about waiting a short while for food, saying he could hardly eat anything then polishing off the large plate declaring it was the best meal he had ever had.
Will bunker down today and decide whether to go out and maybe just pay a few bills etc.
Have a good Sunday despite the adverse stuff outside

Delicious! I’ve had goat a few times - Jamaican-style and Northern Spain-style. Yummy, I hope you enjoyed your Cumbrian version!

Morning all. 5.9 here.

Ol’ Bertie’s still making everything look miserable out there. Went out twice yesterday with the dogs (if we don’t go out in the afternoon, the puppy’s bouncing off the walls by 6pm) but managed to miss any major downpours. Might get a good drenching today tho...

Welsh course was really good yesterday. More of the same today. Happy Sunday, peeps.

4.7 at least with everything else going on my BG is being good

Morning all, 5.1 here, so close!
Sounds wild and windy out there. Neighbour's weather station that puts the data on line seems to have stopped working some time in the night, maybe the anemometer blew off his roof.

Morning all. 6.1.

The Cumbrian curry goat was delicious, even though I say so myself. Mr Eggy has declared it one of his top five meals. Rice and peas weren’t so good, a bit rice puddingy, it was edible, but could do better. As I made my own Jamaican curry powder I’ve loads left for a few more curry goats. I’ll get grandson on the case.

Today is damp and mild. Bert has all but gone for the moment, we’re getting some sunshine for a few hours and then’s he’s returning late afternoon! For 8.30 it’s still quite dark.

Nothing much going on. Prepare the Sunday roast, lamb today, Sainsbury’s had legs of lamb on half price a couple of weeks ago, that’s usually the only time I buy them.

Have a super Sunday.

We got away lightly down here yesterday, a bit windy but nothing more than a persistent heavy drizzle, but as a certain dog would say, it was a dark and stormy night. Still got that blustery wind this morning but it's a dry start and the heavy rain they'd forecast for today has shifted to the evening. That'll please my wife as she's meeting up with friends in Reading later.

Our eldest's futsal team are at home today, 2 o'clock KO over at Bradfield College. Might go and watch but if I don't it's being streamed live. I tend not to drive except locally these days and it's the best part of 30 minutes away, including a spell on the M4. I'll think about it.

5.8 for me this morning.

Have a good Sunday and I hope no one's having to clear up after Bert.

Bizarrely if I get my licence back I will be regraded from "severe frailty" to "moderate frailty"! Will update my thread on this later as fell asleep posting to woke four hours later needing to go back to sleep before Las Vegas GP!
