Group 7-day waking average?

I feel the libre is more accurate (to my finger pricks) but I like the way you just look at phone with Dexcom one - no need to scan but then on the downside is it doesn’t share data with anyone
I have been using Shuggah (iOS app) with the Libre and it gives constant readings without scanning (it does this by pinching the Bluetooth communication that Libre sends for alarms). So I can just glance at my phone rather than scan. The alarms are much better on Shuggah, customisable and ones for fast rise, fast drop as well as high and low. I do still scan the sensor at least every 8 hours so that I get a complete record in LibreView for a complete record and to share with my hospital diabetes team.

Late check in for me today, 5.3.

Had a support local day today, full English breakfast at the Village Cafe (excellent and only carbs for one slice of toast) then charity car wash at the fire station!

Went to visit friends and had a good catch up before finally getting home just now. Relaxing evening ahead watching some more Criminal Minds episodes I expect (we went back to season 1 and now up to halfway through season 3).

Is there an android version?

Ooh that’s worth know and investigating - I’ll get my technical minded husband on to it - thanks !

I believe it is xDrip+? Shuggah is an adapted version of xDrip4iOS, xDrip is the Android version I think?

Tell him that unless he also tells the men not to jump the fence, that's sexual discrimination which is illegal 😉
Hmm, I don't plan on getting so serious because he didn't made a big deal of it either. But I asked my male coworker who I've seen jumping many times, out of curiosity, and of course no one told him to stop 🙄

Hello! I have another short holiday coming very soon and my plan has been cancelled. I am now considering going somewhere in Cornwall for 2 days, as it's not far and I've heard is beautiful. After my experience with London and @ColinUK I'd really appreciate the suggestions from someone local 😉 So if someone lives in Cornwall or has visited and has any advice about where to go, what to visit... please let me know! xx

(Keep in mind I don't have a car so have to be reasonably accesible by public transport)

I think the only time I have been to Cornwall is when I was 5. So can't really help. Though you will of course need to find a proper local pasty shop, and try not to eat your cream tea the Devon way 😉

Good moaning! Thought I would be the first but my namesake @Michael12421 has beaten me to it. A not ideal 10.1! I have been awake for about 90 minutes with phantom pain. It feels like I have a broken tibia and fibia, and that the top of my foot is badly burned. Why when your brain can see the lower part of your leg is absent does it tell you it hurts badly? Hopefully the pain killers will kick on soon! They really need to research this more as at limb fitting and amputee physio I have met quite a few fellow sufferers but only two who seemed to suffer a similar frequency and intensity of pain. Rant over! Just hope I can catch some zeds or I will be nodding off after lunch. Predictive text keeps changing BGs to Bags but those are under my eyes!

3.8 for me this morning, despite 2 x 1 JB since 4am and going to bed on 11 with no Levemir again. My body was absolutely shattered last night with lots of muscles aching so I fully expected levels to drop. I have cut my morning Levemir dose by 2 units, so hopefully that will fix it and not be too frustrating during the day. I hate having to fire fight with Fiasp.

@MikeyBikey I hope the painkillers have kicked in now and you are getting some much needed sleep. Sending (((HUGS)))

@Elenka_HM It seems quite shocking and very bad planning/design that you have to climb/jump or crawl to get to the plugs on a daily basis anyway. Maybe the management need to address that issue rather than reproach staff for which way they deal with the problem. Can't help with Cornwall as never been but I am sure @Pattidevans will be able to give you some suggestions. I hope you have a fab time.

6.7

Morning all. 6.9 on this mild morning. 8.5 degrees, damp and windy. I’d rather have the frost. Frosty the Snowman, being a typical hard northerner is still hanging on! 😛

No plans today other than cook a roast chicken dinner.

@Elenka_HM I love Cornwall. I believe St Ives has a train station, it’s a lovely little town, can be busy in the high season. Lovely cliff walks and fabulous beaches. Another option is to travel to north Devon to Exeter and travel into Cornwall by local bus to places like Bude. As Barbara said @Pattidevans should be able to help. I would do some research on trains and buses as they will dictate where you can go. Two days limits your options are there’s so many fabulous places to visit. I’m jealous.

Have a great day.🙂

Morning all, 5.3 here, so close again! Jelly baby assisted at 4am. Proper hypo, not Libre invented, the symptoms woke me before the Libre noticed! Went to bed with insulin on board after a larger than usual meal, and a separate bolus for pudding. Was feeling so full that I thought I wouldn’t have a problem, and certainly, the 4am hypo was at least 8 hours after the last bolus dose, so can’t really blame that. According to the graph, BG went on rising til 1am, when the bolus would have been all spent, then started dropping steadily with just my 3 units of overnight Levemir on board.

4.9 this morning for me. Everything is green again!! 🙂

Dez

4.8 today, only pulled that one thanks (?) to a high alarm showing 10 sometime in the middle of the night. I wasn’t going to stand for that and gave a 3U bolus to bring it back down which did seem to work in getting things back to a good level without any lows. That’s the problem with snacking late on in the evening, especially with anything that takes a while to digest!

Pleased to report the shoulder is actually a bit better today, just down to an ache rather than pain, but that is after two days of no computer work and mainly resting it. Will have to be ultra careful in the coming week as I have to be ok for next Friday when we see Turandot.

Definitely a lazy day today, visit to my parents and maybe a wander around a garden centre perhaps (my wife is after some reed scent diffusers).

@MikeyBikey - really hope you not in pain now and the pain killers are working. It must be awful to suffer so much.

@Elenka_HM - as Barbara says, @Pattidevans will definitely be able to help suggest places for you. I love St Ives and also Padstow is worth a visit - had a great pasty there whilst sitting looking over the harbour. Nearby to Padstow is Tintagel Castle which is linked to the myth and legend of King Arthur.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning 2! Went back to sleep some time after 5:00 and woke to a 5.6 half-an-hour ago. Usually my BG rises with pain but today it went down. Thus is the way of contrary diabetes! Too tired to go to work even if I am retired! 🙂

Off to the Wordle-Quordle thread. Why not join in today? 🙂

@Elenka_HM I’d try and go to the Eden Center and see what’s on at Minnack Theatre (sp?) but I’m not sure how accessible they are from where you’re staying.
Oh and I’d go to the Hanging Gardens at Helvylan (sp?)
