Group 7-day waking average?

Morning an 8.2 for me after a bit of DP after most of night around 7. Just put in a 1u correction whilst got up and now 6.6 an hour later.
Such a nice day in Chester and a had my first gelato of the year in the sunshine.Perfect!
Off to Welsh borders today as appointment on Wirral was cancelled so have changed my day completely and then WFH tomorrow which fits in well with patio and driveway being power washed.
Weather is glorious and makes most folk smile so remember happiness is infectious so be a carrier and try not to think too much about global issues.

Just seen this. Stay safe.

In addition to the maximum alert for Tenerife and La Palma, a general alert for strong winds has also been declared across the rest of the archipelago, including El Hierro, La Gomera, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote.
Well I did have beans yesterday…

5.4 for me today.

Wonders will never cease - I got some admin time yesterday so I feel much better about my workload - which is just as well. I have lots of safeguarding meetings this afternoon - the most emotionally difficult part of my job. But at least I feel well prepared, thanks to the unexpected time yesterday.

It's going to be another lovely, warm day here so I'll enjoy being out and about for visits this morning.

Gatwick airport yesterday was a calm oasis. Busy but not in anyway frantic or loud. Didn’t do lounge access but it was actually really rather nice just chilling in departures for a while.

After we landed (4.5 hours due to very strong headwinds - presumably the storm) I got a text message from an acquaintance asking if I was on the flight. He was too! We’re staying in different places as he’s A) straight and B) posh

We’re on the same flight home next week so he’ll say hi 🙂

Hotel is fine, as expected, but busier than it was last time. Apparently it’s almost full.

Popped out to some hostelries catering to the homosexualist persuasion. Had a couple of beers. Nothing to report regarding kissing frogs and or finding a Prince!

I’ll pick up the hire car this AM and was considering heading up into the mountains but maybe I’ll leave that for another day.

Ooh 6.4 this morning.

@rebrascora I did wave as we flew overhead but I didn’t see you wave back!

Morning all, 4.1 here, crawling along the top of the red all night, had a couple of JBs at one point, which raised me a fraction, then I went straight back down.
Maybe I will have to try this out at breakfast. Who knew Nutella came in ginormous pump dispensers…when's Christmas?

Morning all. 6.8 after a 6u correction overnight! 6! I've never needed that much before. Yesterday was a day of ups and downs with levels. Last night's tea was a 30g carb traybake. By bedtime i was low 5s so i had a teaspoon of peanut butter, usually enough to keep level. About 2am i woke feeling unwell, checked and there was a vertical line on the graph and an 18.3! Finger prick confirmed. I don't know whats going on this week with the constant swinging between high and low but i wish it would stop. Its tiring.

Enjoy your break Colin and good luck finding the right frogs 🙂
Would not worry about having posh friends as I certainly think you have a “ posh” life visiting the theatre and ballet but good to know you are just like the rest of us down to earth.
Stay safe in the wind.

Would it come out of a pump; it’s awfully thick? :confused:o_O

A 6.0 for me this morning. 🙂

Morning 6.9 on waking this morning
I shan’t waffle on to much this morning, as need need to get showered and organised
I’m back to work today (we will see how that goes)

Will be driving up to Crewe later this afternoon, for a evening meal (meeting some colleagues) we’re put up all work remotely and are field based so don’t see work colleagues so much.

we are all apparently put up in some posh place tonight, then have a conference tomorrow
then will be driving home early tomorrow evening.

Good news NO hypo’s yesterday
was quite good on a reduced insulin dose
especially as had a higher carb evening meal as I wanted to see what the effect was on my levels

TC & have a Terrific Thursday 😎

Have a lovely time @ColinUK

Good luck locating your pump-action Nutella @Robin

A 5.3 for me on waking. So close and yet so far!

5.7 this morning, so pretty much the same as yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that......... etc, keeping the trend line on my graph more or less flat for the past few weeks. I'll take that. No change to the weather either - it's another bright, sunny and dry start and we have another week of it says the BBC weather App. I do wish that really cold wind would die down though.

Managed to give the grass its first cut of the year yesterday, in between hanging out 4 machine loads of laundry. That was a challenge as we have a rotary dryer and it wouldn't stay still in the strong wind. Got everything dry, though. Our picket fence needs more of a repair than I thought so that's still on the To Do List. Finished my gardening by getting the hosepipe on it as everything was looking so dry, especially our pots.

Usual Thursday swim later, a bit of grocery shopping and more garden maintenance.

Congrats @PattiEvans on yesterday's HS. Are you missing out on the sunshine and lighter wind that everyone else is said to be getting today?

Whatever your plans, enjoy your day.

Good luck with drive up and enjoy your meal.
Only posh place in Crewe is Crewe Hall where have had a few meetings but some very nice places very close by so be interesting to know where you are staying.
Enjoy,

Morning all. 🙂 7.8 here.

It’s our 29th Wedding Anniversary. Luckily, I don’t teach any classes today, so it’s lunch out at the seaside and an afternoon in the garden - there’s so much to do! Hubby bought me a card in Welsh that says: Fab wife, would recommend highly. Haha, he’ll have to work harder than that if he wants to get rid of me 😉.

Ah! Had breakfast & just waiting for my taxi at 9am. Latest update from DHL is delivery between 12:30-14:30 so, no need to rush back then! Busy, busy today waiting for iPhone, asda shopping 1pm-3pm & I was going to say chemist delivery when I get back but, no need to rush back so, pick it up myself on the way back! 🙄

I was getting complacent about my wrist after a week of physio stretches & I just screamed in pain earlier when I brushing my hair to go out: just twisted a bit too much without the brace on; haven’t screamed in pain for a week now & it was proper reminder for me that my wrist IS on mend but, it’s still injured & I need to be careful! 😱 Me screaming earlier!

4.7 yet again today. Post dinner I ran a little higher than expected last night so good to know I'm back to normal in the morning. Cut and colour mid-morning today so a morning WFH (read: emailssssss) and then off to campus later to do some bits and bobs that I need institutional database access for. Need to do a work compliance check later as well with my new immigration status (though if I hadn't told them, they wouldn't even care, which is concerning...), and will hopefully have some time to get down to the music practice rooms too. Just bought a bunch of neat contemporary music that sits in my instrument's sweet spot so I might just skip the etudes and scales and go right to the fun stuff today.

Congratulations on the HS :star:
The Normandy Pork dish sounds yummy. I guess it's too late to ask for an invite to dinner
No... there’s 4 portions leftover!
