Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. A happy 5.5 for me earlier this breezy but fine sunny day...

Have a good day folks and stay safe.

It looks delicious @eggy, please save me some for me
maybe if I I set off now, I can be there in what, about 5 hours maybe that is if the M6 is behaving itself (say 6 hrs I’m t9tight to use the M6 toll link)
You’ve plenty of time, it’s for lunch tomorrow. With you and @freesia there’ll be 11 for lunch! We’ll just about squeeze round the table! I’ve had 12 round it before!

Another 4.7 today for me. Might have been a bit lower at first but had to stay in bed checking that Cory Booker broke Thurmond’s record (he did), and what the results of the Wisconsin race were. Dual nationality life is odd.

Lots on today - loads of pre-annual leave admin, some marking, some book work, and hopefully time to watch the debate in parliament on HE funding, too.
Good result on both counts. I believe Mr Booker didn’t eat or drink for two days so he wouldn’t need the loo. That’s dedication for you. And I thought I could talk a lot!

Good afternoon everyone!

6'4 this morning. That was on the finger prick because my sensor expired at midnight. I replaced it with my first Libre 2+, yesterday when I collected my prescription I saw I've been "upgraded"! They look exactly the same, other than the box says these last 15 days instead of 14. If they work as well for me as Libre 2 I'll be happy. On a slight tangent, I find removing the dark circle of shame old glue from the old sensor harder than applying the new one. So annoying! And yesterday I tried the micropore tape to hold the sensor for the last few hours as it was coming a bit loose, it did work, but when I removed it I had some angry red lines in the borders in addition to the red circle from the sensor (that is under the dark circle of grim). So my skin doesn't seem to appreciate it...

I am currently at Dunelm, I had one of their lovely cheese scones before starting browsing because I arrived here low. Is not the first time with this walk, I reduced my basal in the morning with this in mind, but might have been a bit heavy on the breakfast bolus. I didn't take any NR for the scone as shopping when I am low is a pain and I am also going to Asda for the week's groceries after this. I'm definitely taking the bus on the way back, can deal with any potential highs when I am chilling at home.

I love their cheese scones

5.8 this morning, not a happy bunny waited in all day for the new shed to arrive, tried to speak to the courier who have only got live chat which didn't work, emailed the seller who has replied this morning saying due to high demand the courier are experiencing a short delay, and to please allow another 48 hours, the online tracking yesterday said two of 3 items, as of this morning at 4am it says 3 of 3, so the seller is telling fibs, and there is still no tracking to say when it will be delivered, daughter collected my meds last night as we couldn't go out and they have sent the wrong eye drops, so we have had to nip out to sort that, plus that's 2 days now we haven't been able to go to the gym.

Baby oil on a cotton wool pad removes the "circle of grim" very efficiently.

Afternoon all - another glorious day, but again a very cold wind which is getting up ever stronger as the day passes.

Woo hoo 5.2 this morning. Woke in the wee small hours and couldn't get back to sleep again until 6 am then overslept by a long chalk.

Been for a nice walk along the coast and now about to cook Normandy Pork for later tonight. At some point I am going to have to knuckle down and do the "Onboarding" for the new pump and HCL. So far I will say this much, a lot of thought has been put into it and the system seems very comprehensive and thorough - much more so than the Omnipod system I was on. However I have only dipped my toe in it so far.

@colin UK have a lovely holiday.

@TinaD glad to hear the op went OK. Wishing you a quick recovery.

@BobbleHat congrats on your HS

Have a lovely day all

I don't mind where i sit.

@PattiEvans congrats on the HS.

I don't know whats going on with my levels this week. Aftef yesterdays highs after cleaning windows, lows overnight, i had a 20g carb breakfast and shot from 4.8 to 10.2 even though i was pushing a shopping trolley around. After a correction i dropped back into the high 4s by lunch. An hour after lunch the high alarm went off and there was a vertical line to 11.5!! Now its dropped to 3.4 going down fast after a 10min walk. What a palavar!

A very early Good Morning from me too!

3.1 for me at 4.14am. Had a couple of JBs but couldn't get back to sleep for worrying about my brother who seems to be losing cognitive function and we are concerned that he might have an infection or perhaps very dehydrated, but he is resisting medical attention. Tossed and turned for half an hour and then gave up and decided to get up and do the Wordle puzzles to try to distract my mind. Of course as soon as I got up, my levels headed into orbit! Too early to jab my morning Levemir yet, so hit it with a decent amount of Fiasp and then a bit more as it continued to rise. If it starts to come down I will have breakfast, but have had a coffee to kick start my morning.
You can get urine dip test sticks which he could do at home and that would give a good indication of a UTI if the leucocytes were high or it showed blood. Uti's can cause confusion and rambling.00

Congratulations on the HS :star:
The Normandy Pork dish sounds yummy. I guess it's too late to ask for an invite to dinner

I’m heading back to Gran Canaria for this break. No rain forecast. A little cloud. Temperatures expected to be 23 to 26 degrees daytime and a positively arctic 18 at night.
Just seen this. Stay safe.

In addition to the maximum alert for Tenerife and La Palma, a general alert for strong winds has also been declared across the rest of the archipelago, including El Hierro, La Gomera, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote.

I’m currently in Madeira, just a tad further North, and the winds have been very strong today, nothing damaging here, though, so hopefully will escape the worst. Flights from Madeira are always being diverted to the Canaries, due to the tricky airport here, it would be strange if it had to work the other way round!

Morning all. A high 9.2! Checked on meter 9.9! Looking at my graph I’ve just gone up and up all night. I didn’t feel 100% yesterday, tummy trouble as usual, and went to bed just after 9 as I felt worse after my tea. I had to nibble on a piece of Kendal Mint Cake as I was down to 4.3 at about 9.30 and still had probably an hours insulin coursing around my bloodstream. It wasn’t even one square as I broke it as I snapped it off, less than 15 grms of carbs. Maybe it was that or I’m coming down with something, I feel a bit wobbly this morning, think I’m maybe just tired.

Helping with swimming day today, last one for a while as 1: other grandparents arrive home today, we usually do alternate weeks, and b: it’s the school holidays the next two weeks and it doesn’t run then. Yeah! Only one day of childcare next week, we thought, but daughter has finally got a completion date for moving, well, she’s got two, 14th or 17th April, “ mam, could you have the girls next Thursday so we can get on with packing?” No rest for the wicked. I do hope it’s the 14th not the 17th as we all go away for the Easter weekend the next day, not ideal. But I’m glad things are moving along, it’s seems ages since the process all started.

Must dash, got cut and colour at 9.30, have to walk home as Mr Eggy needs car to do swimming run. Need to assemble lasagne now, put a focaccia dough in the machine and let it rise to cook when I get home, and set the table for the hordes coming. Is it bedtime yet?
Have a good day.

Hope @Robin and @ColinUK have put rocks in their shorts pockets! Stay safe both.

07:11 BS 7.0 about an hour up & going to make breakfast now.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

In a bit of a rush today as I have an early appointment for my annual asthma review at the health centre at 09:10. FINALLY got sorted with the changed online services the day I physically went to the health centre reception: I rang up a few times after my SIL told me, during the power cut of storm Eyown, that you need a letter from them with a temporary user ID & password to re-register; they kept saying I’ll get an email & never did! So, I got that letter printed out for me there & then & had 24 hours to get online which, I did when I got back from that physio appointment! 🙄

Must dash for some breakfast before I leave the house!
