Group 7-day waking average?

Chocolate con churros (very thick hot chocolate with churros) is a staple of cafés in Spain in the mornings. Our children tried it and they couldn't manage more than a quarter of their chocolate serving, it is that thick and sickly.
I had a cultural shock with British hot chocolate at the beginning. I was disappointed at the lack of texture, I thought "this is not hot chocolate, it's fancy Colacao!" Now I do enjoy it occasionally. Not good for churros tho

I think the chocolate they serve with the churros in Spain can reasonably be described as warm and slightly diluted nuttella.

22:20 BS 8.5 last FT test & JUST applied a new sensor. 1st scan was 23:19 BS 9.1. Just before eating breakfast 23:39 BS 9.1.

Phone delivered in the afternoon & I conked shortly afterwards & thought I’d apply the sensor when I got up! I SUPPOSE I could have applied it before sleeping but, I’d start a new day with me; MY out of whack new day! 🙄o_O

It’s now 00:10, as I type this at this moment, & it’s the silly o’ clock zone again for me as going out tired me out: much longer corridor to walk for the doctors waiting room about twice the length of the corridor to the treatment rooms for blood tests etc. & other in-house treatments such as physio, dentist, optician, dietician & speech therapy near the entrance. I walked down the whole length of the building in one go & was admittedly huffing & puffing when I sat down because I forgot to go slow, as I usually do & it really is shortness of breath that stops me in my tracks but, I DID do it in one go instead of a rest stop or two when breathing was hard! I was surprised & quite chuffed again but, it DID tire me out!

Everything asthma wise is good & the asthma plan remains the same BUT, disappointed that I’ve gained 2 kilos & tipped the scales at 92 kilos when I checked it last week I was 90 kilos but, I said to the asthma nurse I HAD just literally finished breakfast when I weigh myself first before breakfast every week. TMI alert human nature being what it is I’ll admit this & I’ll bet I’m not the ONLY one to do this: take off everything before I step on the scales; every little bit counts as I can see on the very sensitive & fancy digital scales! 😱 I CAN do that at home & CANNOT do that at medical appointments with clothes & a coat on!

An extremely early Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

It’s nice to have the libre back & I missed it!

Morning all. 5.8

With the atrocious (which is a relative term of course) weather yesterday I drove up to Las Palmas and explored a bit. Stopped at the Centre of Atlantic Art Modern, plus the Museum of the Canaries and then the main Cathedral. Also went for a little hike that takes you above an ancient caldera.

Today is forecast to be 23 degrees of sun with zero wind. My intention is to breakfast early and to breakfast well and then go for a walk along the beach before deciding what else I want to do or settling on doing pretty much nothing by the pool.

Morning. Last day of term - yay !

Rough night of alarms. Properly tired now. Woke up on. 5.1 after jelly babies and some skittles at 1am, 2.30am and 4.45am.

Have a good day all.

Morning all. 6.3 on this chilly Friday morning. Only 2 degrees.

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and 17 degrees but the wind chill factor felt like 7 degrees at times! Sunny and 16 degrees today with a chilly east north east wind, that’s fine, I’m not going out apart from to hang the washing out. It’ll be a grand drying day. A no child care, no appointments, no need to go out day. Perfect.

Nice to see you back on this thread @MikeyBikey and congratulations on your HS.

Have a fab Friday folks, our schools finish today too.

Morning a 6.8 for me and congrats on HS @MikeyBikey and good to see you back on this thread.
Walked dogs and will move cars soon before pressure washing to arrive to do their magic ( well hopefully).
After all the plants I have moved my wife came back from Gardening Club with more plants Grrr.
WFH today and had a lovely day yesterday with Ice Cream at Parkgate ( lovely walk through village and great views across estuary and lots of bird watchers out).
Then a Fish finger Butty with Chips and Salad in West Kirby so really spoiled myself and I treat myself to a day like that just to remind me to live a little.
Rearranged op for our youngest dog with the luxating patella for next week so need to plan his recovery now we have a timeline.
Have a good day and then w/ end.

Good morning 6.9 today

Just taking a leisurely pre breakfast stroll
this place is surrounded by big gardens & fields however the traffic noise drowns out the sounds of nature

Congrats on the HS @MikeyBikey
hope your recovery soon mooves forward

Morning all, 4.2 here, walked a lot yesterday and am probably a bit dehydrated, been crawling along the top of the red again. Didn’t sleep well last night, the wind was blowing a gale, and the noise kept me awake. It seems to have blown itself out now.
Spotted a Libre reader and Novopen in the wild at dinner last night, on the table where an elderly German man was seated. We waved pens at each other, and attempted a conversation, but he spoke no English, and my German O level over 50 years ago didn’t equip me with the technical or medical vocab needed. We only managed to get as far as comparing Libres, and remarking how small his 3 is compared to my 2!
Pic before the wind and rain started yesterday.

5.4 for me.

I have my second clinic of the week - not such a busy one today, as technically its my overflow one. Plus, it's the one where I meet the newly pregnant women on my caseload and they're longer appointments at 90 minutes.

I have a student working with me today which I love. I work out of a community hub rather than a GPs surgery and it can a bit isolated so a second person is always nice. Plus, I was a secondary teacher before I was a midwife and I like working with students as it brings both my careers together in a funny sort of way.

Happy nearly the weekend everyone.

A nice round 5 for me today. 🙂

Morning all. 5.2! Lets hope levels stay in range for a change this week. Its cloudy outside atm but forecast is up to 20° and bright sunshine. Washing needs to go on the line and i want to mow the lawn, maybe get some more dead tree and ivy pulled up. Then i'm meeting a friend for coffee at a garden centre where the cafe has an outdoor seating area and is a sun trap.

Have a good day everyone.

Well, I took one for the team! I tried out the Nutella pump action dispenser this morning, @Lanny and I have to say, it produces a coil of Nutella not dissimilar in appearance to the poo emoji 😱 ! And it is a bit thinner, and sweeter, it seemed to me, than what we get in the jars back home.

Morning! 4.5 today (Dexcom* says 3.7 just before eating/after shower but it does get overdramatic sometimes).

Much delayed dentist appointment today (‘emergency’ chipped tooth thing) going straight into union meeting. More emails, hopefully music, and then a week of annual leave!

*using for testing foods/adding more carbs in so I don’t destroy my fingers. Still do a fingerprick first thing to see where I am, though.

Morning all. 🙂 7.3 here.

Where’s the sunshine gone?! I hope it perks up, I want to carry on with yesterday’s gardening project. Oh well, I’ll plan next week’s lessons and do admin until the sun comes out again. We’re a week behind you @Bexlee holiday-wise, which means a veeery short summer term. Weird.

Lovely holiday pics ev1.

Not a waking reading, but I'd been up for a few hours and had breakfast.

5.5

This diabetes thing is odd. Some days it feels like it's not there, maybe taking a vacation, but leaving the cholesterol fairy behind in its place.

I think the chocolate they serve with the churros in Spain can reasonably be described as warm and slightly diluted nuttella.
I made the chocolate sauce once when Lidl were selling frozen churros. ISTR it involved dark chocolate, double cream, milk and icing sugar. Very sickly!
