Group 7-day waking average?

@Pam123 Being driven around a track by a pro is scary no matter what car they’re driving!

Oh and the BMW i8 is gorgeous. You should get one!

Well I am back. No idea what bg is although it was 9 at 2pm yesterday. The last 3months have been a little hard.sold house completing on 17 Feb. Purchase delayed by idiots so did not get possesssion of new place until 24March. Everything stored in carefully packed boxes but removal men stuffed them into storage without reading labels so no test kit and no time. Went to leominsterand packed house for ild chum who is downsizing - a great chum but no housekeeper so everything had to be cleaned before packing.then to S Oxfordshire to care for daughter over cancer operation. Then to friends in Wales where i got bad chest infectio which lasted6 weeks. Visited old neighbours and getting off their loo exploded tendon in right knee. No orthopod available for 6 months - should have got cheque book out and gone private. Gp sais cruciates which I had thought but physio said meniscus. Anyway stuck on 2 walking sticks for 6 weeks when I managed last week to have bad fall . The results broken ankle rt leg- more damage rt knee- broken bone left knee. That got me into A and E where after 36 hours on trolley eating cocodamol suddenly MRI scanner availableand a dishy consultant who is operating Monday or Tuesday...have completely lost appetite so bg should be reasonable I hope. Old neighbour coming to rescue today as nhs has run out of pillows- desperately cold last night so she is also buying a duvet and more pyjams and knickers! Hopeshe brings some fruit as yesterday's Nhs apple tasted like a turnip. Meanwhile daughter doing well half way through radiotherapy- after that it is immunity boosting and prayer. Pony and dog well and beibg cared for by neighbours while I am in hospital. Chest has cleared at last so maybe April will be better.hopefully will get time to catch up on readibg posts over weekend and that neighbour can drop into Boots and get new bg tester...its in the double garage somewhere...Time to bell my nice Polish nurse to arrange a pee appointment. It is abit of a bugger when you cant stand up on either !eg but fortunately he is broad minded strong and handsome so it could br worse.
Oh dear, you really have been through the mill since you last were here. Hopefully the surgery will sort out some of your problems. Everything is much effort when yo have injuries.
NHS food not the best.

21:13 BS 7.1 which I’m pretty happy with. 🙂 I had about 5 hours of sleep which is pretty average me & I’m getting up earlier as it doesn’t take as long to go to sleep now! 🙄

Had my last lot of sushi, I always buy 2 lots with tesco deliveries IF they actually come as the stocks can run out, & pondered a bit about the dose: I’m starting 3mmol higher but, no coke & I forgot to mention earlier a fresh from their bakery danish pastry vanilla crown for dessert as well; thought either 32 or 34 NR & went with 32, which again is VERY little for sushi!

BS seems ok ish just now 0:01 BS 10.8 which IS GMT still as I haven’t switched the blood sugar meter forward an yet & will do so now after I post. It’s just a wee bit high but, not that much considering I’m still in mid basal dose change! 🙂

I wish you all, coming up for you NORMAL lovely lot, a Very Good Morning & have a Wonderful Day! 😉 My body clock is obviously still out of whack! 🙄😉

Good morning 5.9bg and 120 over 77 bp.Pretty jammy I reckon. Spent yesterday heading off idiots profferring bread/cake/potatoes etc. Lady in next bed on insulin and metformin wailing that she has been good and eaten no sugar so why is her bg 29.8...Nurses assuring her it will come down if she drinks water. Not one of them explained that spuds /carrots/ice cream were not an ideal diet for aT2. Frightening how ignorant the nursing staff are given how many of us diabetics are about. Yesterday pretty good - dear neighbor came with duvet jimjams pants and nuts while I have mastered the bum shuffle. Hurrah I can now get off the commode and back into bed. A vast improvement in life quality as sitting for half an hour awaiting help was a real bore. Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Morning glucose jugglers! A 7.1 for me to start this sunny Sunday.

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all you mums out there. And morning to all of those who have or ever had a mum as well. I’m off to see mine a bit later. I’ve sent a card and flowers but I’m popping in so I can pick up another kaftan delivery. That way I can see how awful this bunch is and I can email the company later and then send back the ones I don’t want before jetting off to sunnier climes on Wednesday.

BG a tad higher than usual at 7.1

Went to theatre yesterday to see Kyoto. Got talking to an usher who moved me to a much better seat right in the middle of the action.

The play is about the Kyoto climate conference and the set is basically a big round conference table. I got to sit at the table so there’s a bit of back and forth with the actors who sit next to you and with the narrator.

For a heavy subject matter (10 years of climate conference negotiations) it’s one very fast paced script. It’s also surprisingly funny.

This run ends soon but I’m sure it’ll be back on stage soon. Go see it.

My seat was the second to the right of the stairs. Actors take the one to my left for each Conference.

Morning all Happy Mothers day to all our mums out there.
BG 6.6 a wee bit high for my liking to be honest
you all have a good sunday
love gail xxxx

Morning a 6.9 and a flatfish overnight which very pleased with as had a Chinese last night which always means managing the BG is more art than science and I stayed within range.
Yesterday went to Butchers, then to daughters farm and went home in morning.Could not eat from 1030 due to Scan in afternoon and they were running late and felt myself going a bit low beforehand but did not have Libre so as I still felt in control and is hospital I did not take any Dextrose.
Was fine and strangely it gave me confidence that although I felt going low I was still felt happy that I was in control but of course was in what I considered a very safe situation and was only sat down so my BG level was fairly stable.
Anyway I had a CT Scan in the end with contrast ( rather than the MRI I am sure the Consultant mentioned he thought showed a better image) but no matter.
I chatted afterwards to another patient and we both remarked that despite us both having CT Scans in past it was the first time that we had noticed a clear warming inside us as the contrast went in so not sure if the dye has changed).
Anyway wife came into u it as they were running late and took me home and had some soup as I was hungry and then went for take away.
Just watched TV and Libre on and going to be much more active today with moving pots and stuff off back patio ready for monster power washing session later in week.
Feeling chipper today and had a decent sleep and dogs walked and looking forward to being in garden though not going out as places going to be manic today.
Enjoy

A 5.5 for me today.🙂

Happy Mothers Day to all mums, stepmums, foster mums and “you’re like a mum to me” mums. 7.3 which I also went to bed on and stayed the same all through the night. Ah, well, I’m consistent if nowt else.

My lovely hubby is making me breakfast, luckily it won’t be cold toast with an inch of jam on, luke warm tea with six sugars, served with a snapped daffodil in a jam jar! Ah, the good old days when the children were small. 😉 Two youngest daughters and their offspring are comimg over later today. Eldest at work, but she gave me her card on Friday, her sisters have the pressies apparently. Exciting. Mr Eggy going out at lunch time to a Camera Club thing, he is “training” to become a judge. I’ll have a nice quiet time on my own, until the hordes descend and raid the fridge and cupboards!

Have a great day whatever your plans. Sunny here, but breezy.

An amazing 4.3 this morning after my son’s wedding yesterday which included pizza and drinks. Somehow I managed to judge the insulin correctly - a win!

Lovely day and I was bowled over by what the bride’s sister said, who gave the bride away (their parents are in India and couldn’t travel over here). She said : “I give you my sister, who is a piece of my heart, look after her.” My ex-wife was really friendly and emotional as well, saying how proud she was that we made and brought up my son. She lives quite a way away now so we don’t see each other except at these things, but it’s good there is no animosity or tension at all. At the end of the day we are all human and life is so precious.

Here’s a quick snap of the lovely couple, apparently my son did have a haircut but I managed to hold my tongue and didn’t ask which one

Off to see Mum later for Mother’s Day.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning 6.9 today

a really great day for me yesterday the walking football & wellbeing activities resumed (after a fortnights break) the co-ordinator had made the the activity part whilst still ball primarily about physical activity (ball control skill) but also getting us thinking about something different our minds were focused and it was actually great fun, that first hour went very quickly
the second hour (the wellbeing part) was how breathing in a certain way can reduce anxiety & stress which I feel sure will help me, as you can imagine I found it very appropriate and might help me.

I shall swim later today, because tomorrow afternoon I’ve my monthly appointment at DMO clinic tomorrow afternoon, treatment is expected will see which treatment depending what the scan shows, either a Vabysmo injection or Ozurdex implant, either will mean several days before can go in the pool following treatment, hence I will go today then I’ve promised myself again first thing tomorrow morning.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers everywhere, I shall see if either my brother or sister (possibly both) are available to catch up on a WattsApp video call

TC
you lovelies

Morning all. A high 9.6 which dropped to 7.1 when i got downstairs. Thanks to some peanuts last night after a stubborn hypo.

5.3 for me on another lovely, sunny Berkshire morning, with wall-to-wall blue sky and sunshine forecast to last all day. Shame about the cold wind, though. Same yesterday and I was glad I'd put a sweatshirt on when I went into town.

Our youngest is working today, 8 till 5, and our eldest's futsal team are away in Loughborough against his Alter Mater. KO's not until 5, though. Hopefully the live stream will stay online this time and we can watch the whole match.

Did some garden maintenance yesterday and expect to do some more today. Our shrubs are a mass of buds so hopefully the garden will be awash with colour soon. Our Forsythia and Grape Hyacinths are holding the fort for now.

Enjoy your Sunday, especially all the mums.

Morning all. Yet another sunny but windy day here, but a happy 4.7 for me after the best night's sleep I've had for ages,

Have a great Mother's Day girls and stay well.
