Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 7.1.

Nice day yesterday, three of my favourite things for Mothers Day, books, Hotel Chocolat dark chocolate batons and flowers. I think in that order.

Going for a walk today, another part of the King Charles III England Coast Path, which also encompasses part of the Hadrians Wall Path. Weather forecast decent enough for walking, won’t need our waterproofs.

@Robin I’m so jealous of you going to Maderia. As you may remember I had to cancel our trip last October because of the Creon shortage, Michael Portillo was there last week ( on a telly programme), and he was there in the spring and it looked absolutely amazing. Have a amazing time. Post photos so I can be even more jealous. 😉

@ColinUK where you going on your hollibob? This isn’t the cruise is it? Wherever it is I’m jealous of you too. I’m desperate to get away, three nights with the hordes at Center Parcs at Easter isn’t a holiday, it’s an endurance test! 😛 Roll on Isle of Harris in less than five weeks, absolutely can’t wait. I’d better start ironing my kilt, it takes a while!

Have a Happy Monday folks.

Morning a 6.3 for me and I thought I was going to sleep like a baby but ended up a bit fitful.
Had normal 4u of bolus for B/ fast and then nothing until after evening meal as spent over 2 hours moving pots off back patio in readiness for power washing and even shifting a roll of artificial turf which my wife got a year ago which had sat on our drive since then, to our tiny orchard.
Even though I had left over Chinese and snacks and BG stayed lovely all day then eventually started to rise after tea and was too shattered to go for a walk.So took more bolus and ended up taking a correction dose just before bed but fine in end.
A bit achy but expect worse tomorrow but really enjoyed doing it.Plus cake etc when son and daughter called with flowers/gifts etc.
Dogs walked and having cup of tea and finished my book yesterday so having a relax now after w/ end exertions.
Enjoy your week.

@eggyg I’m envious of you going to Centre Parks and being surrounded by your clan who all love you, and each other to bits!

Also had a dream about buying a mystery car last night and it turning out to be an E-type convertible that also turned out to be yours and was a stablemate to Camille’s but one you kept under wraps because she got jealous of it.

I’m heading back to Gran Canaria for this break. No rain forecast. A little cloud. Temperatures expected to be 23 to 26 degrees daytime and a positively arctic 18 at night.

5.0 for me

That’s so funny! Bri would love an E-Type, and Camille would definitely be jealous! Better get the lottery put on, I bet they aren’t cheap. Enjoy Gran Canaria, I’ve only been once and although it was warm it wasn’t very sunny. 23 degrees sounds perfect to me.

Morning all. 🙂 6.3 here. My new companion Omnipod 5 couldn’t cope yesterday - low alarms all day long. I blame the clock change - 7am was suddenly 8am, 8am was 9am, etc. How’s a poor algorithm meant to get its head around that?! I hope it behaves at work today.

Saturday’s pre-anniversary meal out was very nice. The view from the restaurant is a sweeping bay and dramatic headland...the food was great too. Then Sunday I shot off to Swansea and into my mum’s good books 😉 with a bunch of flowers and a box of chocs. What a busy weekend!

Morning all. 8.6 with a sudden spike and drop around 3am, probably the cheese and crackers i had with some alcohol last night. Older daughter came yesterday with the lovely plant pot i'd seen (just need to get the plant now), younger daughter sent me a screenshot of a delivery tracking so whatever that is is still to come, exciting. We didn't go out yesterday, hubby was feeling unwell, so i sat and cracked on with my book.

Today is forecast sunny all day and 17° so my aim is to clean all of my windows inside and out. Its not an easy job as they're large windows for a semi detached. It will take most of the morning. This afternoon i plan to either do some more in the garden or just sit and try to finish the book. I'll see how i feel.

@Robin have a great time in Madeira. Younger daughter went there and said how nice it was.

@ColinUK Gran Canaria sounds the perfect temperature.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning! 8'7, late carbs explain it.

Last night a colleague from the bar made hot chocolate for a customer and had enough left for an extra mug. She offered it to me and my mind was like "I shouldn't, but...". I wanted it. Then she said she doesn't have this very often because she is diabetic and her BG goes really high. I went "oh, same". She looked at me. We both look at the hot chocolate. I felt a bit ashamed, to be honest. Went "well, I shouldn't have many of these either, but..." She said it's worth it (occasionally, I assume). It was indeed the best one I had in ages and it was free and I was too tired to make wiser choices LOL.

We talked a bit after that, she is also on Libre and injections, tho she is on the waiting list for a pump. Funny to think we have worked in the same place for over a year and we didn't know we are fellow diabetics. She kindly offered to help if I have any questions, since she has around 20 years more experience than me! 😱

A 6.2 for me today. 🙂

Good morning. 4.8 which goes to show how efficient is enforced starvation on reducing one's score. Today is nil by mouth and an operation to reattach my quadruceps tendon to my patella. So depressing reading all the undesirable outcomes on the consent form. It doesn't seem to have raised my bp tho' which was a splended 120 over 75 this a.m. Gotta celebrate the wins one has...

I hope it all goes well today for you.

Hope the op goes well @TinaD

A 6.1 for me when my alarm went off.

April tomorrow. How is that possible?! 😱

5.6 this morning, which is yet another dry and sunny one. Just as well as we have people out front starting work on widening our driveway. This is why:-

We'll lose around 80cm of garden but can't be helped. It had become a bit of an eyesore.

Power-washed the patio yesterday and it looks a lot better for it, and it was a nice enough afternoon to sit outside with a coffee and the newspaper once we'd put the garden furniture back. Maybe nice enough to do the same today.

Have a good start to the week, everyone.

Mornin' folks. Nice and sunny in Lincolnshire today. A 7.1 for me this morning. Back on the homemade yoghurt with berries and seeds. Frozen blueberries for now and no nuts. Forgot to buy them. 😱o_O
Had a little wander around our fruit cage yesterday. Our blueberry bushes are just starting to flower and the gooseberries are leafing up. The new cherry trees have buds so we may get cherries this year. No sign of flowers on the strawberries or raspberries yet.

@Robin have a great time in Madeira

@ColinUK enjoy your holiday in Gran Canaria. Don't forget to pack a nice cashmere wrap for those chilly evenings :D

@TinaD hoping the operation goes well today.

Nice calm day forecast so lots of shredding planned and spraying some weedkiller over a very pernicious patch of brambles and nettles. Think I will harvest the nettle tips first and try some nettle soup. Not made it before and there is some homemade veggie stock in the fridge from the weekend.

Have a good Monday folks
