I once had an EVEN lower reading, the lowest I’ve ever had, of BS 2.3 on 05.06.2015 the morning of my rushed, drop everything, flight from Belfast to Heathrow & Heathrow to HK to my mum’s deathbed after her very late pancreatic cancer diagnosis! That’s WHY I remember it: the whole journey was a struggle as the shock & grief made my BS drop like a stone!

Morning all, 5.1 here.
Hope everyone's enjoying the summer weather, it’s raining here! (only showers, which isn’t surprising for a sub-tropical island, and it’s about as warm as back home).View from our balcony last night, interesting cloud formations.

Morning all. 4.8 and a flattish line overnight for a change. Todays plan, clean the windows! Hopefully nothing will go wrong today and they'll be done. Then more work in the garden. I still have to cut down the dead tree up the wall but it can wait. The main job now is to clear all the ivy and debris off the floor from where we had trees cut down so i can dig in some soil and get some plants in.

@eggy lovely photos. The bore must be a sight to see.

@Robin lovely view. Have a good time.

@MeeTooTeeTo congrats on the HS.

Morning all. 🙂 6.3 here.

Sunshine and a sharp breeze here. I hope my students behave this evening (all retirees) and don’t try any April Fools Day tricks like the bucket of water over the door or a drawing pin on my chair. There’s no head of year to send them to for a telling off!

Pinch, punch and all that.

You should be Ok - it's only supposed to last until midday. We used to chant to anybody who broke that rule
“April Fool is dead and gone;
You’re the fool that carried it on.”

morning joining @eggy on the 5.5 step today

relieved as had no overnight lows, after yesterdays debacle when my BS was all over the place, TIR gone right out the window (but glad I’m using CGM)
a few jobs to do at home and later will to get out for a really good walk lots of thinking to do as tomorrow is my last day that I’m currently signed off work.

My eyes are fine this morning after yesterdays treatment
I say fine obviously I’ve still got the issue with swelling of the retina
but normal vision - no looking through any swirly gel or increases in floaters etc (they can occasionally occur as a side effect)
I forgot to take sunglasses with me yesterday
so was a good job I had a taxi home from the hospital, much to the relief of Mrs @goodybags
she was quite concerned that I was going to do something stupid like attempt to walk home in bright sunlight
anyway those injections were number 52 & 53 (according to my consultant)
I was her last patient and we had a good chat about several things

I’ve now had (between Lucentis,Eylea & Vabysmo) 19 injections to my left eye
then obviously that’s 34 to the right
plus the one Ozurdex in my right eye, and laser treatment to my left eye (back when I first was needing treatment following a retinal bleed)

I had a most interesting conversation with a guy in the waiting room we’ve never met before but hes been going to the same clinic almost as long as I have (for a similar treatment)
and a member of staff who although not being treated for DMO themself (has a different but similar Macular condition) in one of her eyes and being treated with Vabysmo.

I will be back for next scan in 6-8 weeks, then the plan is to move me onto a new way they are now using Eylea (as a higher dose has now been approved) I think the consultant said, it’s a much stronger dose, with a longer time between treatment than I had before when treated vitamin Eylea previously, she thought this will be a good choice for me, also a relief after what happened following the Ozurdex to my right eye previously,
all quite interesting and a huge relief for me, visual accuracy has increased slightly in my left eye and no worse than last month in my right eye
I’m always worried about any further vision issues so that was good

a good friend just sent me something that might be of interest to ornithologists
I will see if I can share it
think @eggyg might’ve herself spotted this one before (when she’s on her walks)

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone 😎

Morning all.
Happy April etc! 6.0
Laundry to do today and then I’ll pack later so I’m ready for the morning’s jaunt to Gatwick tomorrow.

5.5 for me this morning (I've not really been doing morning readings)
It was 5.8 after a lentil-fest last night.

Morning, 4.1 for me. A night of jelly baby snacks!
Not sure what's going on but I'm happy it's lower rather than higher.

Having another baby scan today. And then off to Wales to spend a week with my mum.

I did query this morning whether the news article about the rise in bills was actually an April Fools, but sadly not..!

Hope everyone has a good day.

4.9 this morning for me.

Bit of decorating today, my wife is going to wallpaper the cloakroom now that the tiling and refurb are completed plus we’ve got a bit of painting to do, skirting boards in the kitchen and a bit of touching up some emulsion now that the tiling has been completed. Once done the tiler is going to pop back and put the heated towel rail on the wall for us. It’s so good that everything is finally getting back to normal and all sorted!

Congratulations @Grannylorraine on your HS!

@Robin - lovely view, enjoy your holiday!

Take care everyone!

Morning lovelies
7.9 for me this morning, not the best but honestly, it's been a stressful weekend.
Boob lump discovery on Friday night has had me wobbling big time and scoffing Grasmere Gingerbread like they're closing up shop.

Seeing my lovely GP later this morning for some boob squidging and potential referral to the breast clinic - although hopefully not needed. We shall see.

Hope you're all well xo

EDIT // BOOB UPDATE:
She's as sure as she can be that it's just a cyst or fatty lump (lovely!) so no need to refer to breast clinic. Just have to keep an eye on any changes in size or skin changes and see how we go. WAHOO! :D<3

Yet another bright and sunny Berkshire morning and a 5.8 on the meter. They guys working on our driveway were here early and are cracking on with laying the blocks, having prep'd it all yesterday. They said they'll probably be all done by lunchtime.

No swim today - I went yesterday instead as my wife is back in the office today. One of us has to be here while we have workmen on site and she was WFH yesterday.

Congratulations @Grannylorraine & @MeeTooTeeTo on your HSs this morning.

Hope everyone's getting some of this lovely Spring weather. March is usually said to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb but not this year, which is apparently the driest March in England since 1961. The BBC said that one place (can't remember where) had only 6% of its usual March rainfall. Hosepipe bans can't be far off, then.

Morning all. A 4.3 for me earlier on another lovely sunny day.

Well, since I was high overnight into yesterday morning and needed 3 units of insulin correction at 4am despite having been for a brisk walk, I decided to up my Levemir by 1 unit last night since I hadn't managed to fit a walk in yesterday. I needed 2 JBs overnight to maintain my flatfish mostly in the black ie low 4s and woke up on 3.8 this morning. Think the DF is pulling an April Fool on me. I jabbed my morning Levemir but decided to wait until I was out of the red before I jabbed Fiasp, so got up and went to the loo. Less that 5 mins later Libre showed a 6.2 with a vertical upward arrow!! I am sure my liver has a tilt mechanism on it and standing up tips glucose out by the ton! Jabbed 9 units to deal with that fast flowing FOTF (could it be considered a FOTF bore) and breakfast but it must have kicked in fast as I got to eat breakfast within 20 mins as levels started to drop again almost straight away which makes a change from waiting 45 mins. Not complaining as it is much less frustrating than waiting hours and it not moving.

@Quill Hope your GP is able to allay your concerns about the lump or urgently refer you to someone who can reassure you. I can only imagine how worried you must be. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you.

7.6 im sorry to say walnuts might have had something to do with it

Morning all and a glorious blue sky and sunshine, but a brisk wind unlike yesterday.

5.9 and it changed to 6.2 right in front of my eyes!

Was hoping to go for a walk with my friend, but apparently the workmen started on the roadworks right outside her house at 4:15 am this morning and she is shattered. The works have been a nuisance right through the village, with traffic lights holding things up and no pavement plus bus stops which move daily! Go to the main road and scratch your head as to where the busses are stopping today! They've been going on since beginning of March and show no signs of being finished. They are digging holes right across people's driveways with no notice, trapping their cars in if they aren't watching and blocking egress onto the main road from side roads. Nightmare, fortunately we have been lucky and able to get out of our road so far.... So I might do some grocery shopping instead of the walk.

@Grannylorraine and @MeeTooTeeTo many Congrats on your HS

@Quill, fingers crossed for your visit to the GP and hope the lump is benign.

Have a nice day all
