Group 7-day waking average?

Well, it wasn't proper fabada, because I can't find the right morcilla here, but close enough.
Ooooh, do you have the recipe please? I adore things like that + hubby loves chorizo and morcilla.

Morning a 6.2 for me and another flat line overnight and decent sleep.
Decided to avoid the awful weather and just had a very lazy day watching TV etc.A nice w/ end and a little achey from digging garden on Saturday and have trip to dentist today.
I don’t mind the dentist at all but will be pleased when that is over.
Have a good week all
I did exactly the same as you this weekend! 4 hours pruning roses on Saturday and zilch yesterday but got into a new series on TV. Hope the dentist goes ok.

Morning All - 6.4 this morning and had a lie in for once as hubby off out early to help with the sheep gathering so he got up with the dogs. I'm off to teach my walking netball session at lunchtime and then have to drive him down to Carnforth to pick up a new car (I know my place). Have a good week everyone and @ColinUK well done on your weight and fantastic HbA1c :star:

5.4 for me this morning and Libre graph has me in and out of the red all night, mostly in 🙄 but not too unhappy as I sleep really well in the high 3s and low 4s. Think I am over the worst with my cold at last, which, is a relief and my Levemir doses are back down which is also a relief.

Many congrats on your great HbA1c @ColinUK. How exciting planning your cruise.

And it was a 3.9 for me earlier this morning.

"Spoon foods" (comidas de cuchara), such a comfort for weather like this! And to think when I was a child I was disappointed if we had lentils...oh, I'd appreciate them so much more now!
Lentils, and the fabada I make are quite easy. I use tinned lentils and butter beans, panceta, as it is the closest thing to tocino I can find in here, and chorizos. All goes in the pot, with cummin and nutmeg, and simmer until the pulses reach the level of disintegration you prefer. Lovely jobely.

Now, if I could reliably find grelos -turnip tops- I could make caldo more often.

@PattiEvans. Here goes, not much of a recipe. I have tried using black pudding in place of the morcilla, but it tends to disintegrate, so I've given up on that.

Are there no tomatoes and onion/garlic in it. Just sounds like it would benefit from those ingredients but far be it from me to corrupt a beloved Spanish recipe. 😱

Wonderful achievement on the HbA1c @ColinUK

Climbing back into the 7s wil a 7.2 earlier on, after a night's sleep punctuated with hypos! Mind you a Spanish omelette for dinner (no bolus) last night when I was 4.4 maybe wasn't too good an idea.

10.7 for me this morning. First time posting here after some recent lurking. For some reason I had it in my head that only T1 people posted here when I first joined the forum.o_O.
Had a bit of a lie in as I have caught a cold from hubby.
First day of new dose of gliclazide (double previous dose) so I am keeping a close watch on bg levels. Also checking meals again. Aiming for 130 - 150g carbs initially while I adjust.
Have a good day everyone

A glorious day here with lot's of blue sky and sunshine, warm too.

No Paprika?

I do fry some onion in a bit of oil before adding the rest, but chopped very fine as I don't like the texture. Garlic would be to taste, I don't like garlic either, so none in mine. Tomatoes are not used in this kind of dishes, at least not in the north. @Elenka_HM may have a different take on the recipe being from the south.

Morning all and we have a glorious day here in Cornwall after yesterday when the storm raged all day and half the night. Hopefully I'll get a walk in this afternoon after my visit to the Chiropractor.

Well, take your pick... I looked at the Libre which said 10.3 and changed before my eyes to 7.8 whilst I was looking at it! I quickly scanned before it changed back. It was high, yes, but I'd had two low alarms during the night and corrected both times with Dextro tabs and biscuits + a -40% temp basal for 2 hours. The temp basal might have been a bit OTT.

Yesterday had a bit of a disaster with the dinner, had made a big pile of mashed potatoes with lashings of butter and cream. Decided to give it a grinding of rock salt, the top fell off the salt mill and deposited about 1/3 of the contents of rock salt crystals into the spuds! Eeeek.... spent as much time as both of us could picking them out, but couldn't get em all... thankfully they were a bit salty but edible! Good, cos we're having em again tonight!

Congratulations on the weight loss and Hba1c @ColinUK.

Welcome to the thread @silver minion !

What kind of Spanish person doesn't like Garlic????? This English person loves it! My mum used to say it gave her indigestion, it didn't if you didn't let her know it was in the food!!

Just got back home and mouth still numb as had to have a couple of extractions but job is done now and went as well as these things can.Don't get anxious about visiting dentist or getting injections etc and pretty good at sticking to recovery instructions.
Am still on blood thinners from my damaged pancreas so stopped taking them to allow clot to form in mouth so just make sure I don’t disturb it.
By coincidence I have an annual hospital appointment tomorrow with part of my Upper GI team so will ask about whether to continue but probably need another MRI.
Am tempted to ask about a CPeptide test but have a feeling they will say that is Endo rather than Upper GI
