Group 7-day waking average?

It's a bright (but sunless) and dry morning here, though it's forecast to get a bit wet and windy later. Hopefully our garden fence will cope. Managed to get the rebuilt section painted yesterday afternoon but will need to carry on and do the rest at some point, though maybe not today.

Nice meal out yesterday evening at one of our regular haunts, one of the ones that has a mini-dessert option on its menu. Parfait starter, Lamb main and a cappuccino & mini-brownie for dessert for me.

Our eldest enjoyed his Twickenham outing, especially socialising with colleagues from different departments at Honda who work on a different floor to him and who he hasn't previously had contact with. His futsal team are playing this afternoon and it's a home match, albeit 30 minutes away, but with us having lots to do we're not sure whether to go or to watch it on tv.

Well done @ColinUK on the HS - I could only manage a 5.9

Hope the weather doesn't spoil anyone's Sunday. Looks pretty awful to the west of us.

There were so many to pick from but I’ve gotta draw the line somewhere and honestly I think three at once is my limit these days!
What are you implying about past days, Colin? Ah, these Londoners and your life of excess... 😛

Morning all and 6.9 for me.

Stotting it down and the snow drops are bobbing around like things possessed in the wind.

Got to drop car off for MOT later on. It could be a damp walk back home.

Have a good day everyone.

I haven't done a morning reading for a while, as I'm not really checking that much at the moment. However, yesterday me and Mrs Harbottle took a trip up to Wolverhampton see Fish (Singer, used to be in Marillion) on his final tour before retiring to a small island off the coast of Scotland. I accidentally had a omelette and chips for lunch, then once in Wolves found a nice Thai restaurant and got a table. I had the full monty; a Thai beer, rice, and tofu in batter along with a chicken curry. It's quite nice to somedays not worry about the T2D.

So I was quite pleased this morning to see a 5.7 on the meter when I got up at 10:00 (It was a long night due to train problems, so didn't get back in until after midnight!)

Morning all - well what can I say? It's VILE. It's a storm and nothing less.

9.9 this morning. Not a happy bunny, but by now have realised that my body is under stress with all this nasty cramping and pain and to add to it I was woken at 3:20 with sweating and tummy cramps and at 3:45 it necessitated a dash to the loo. After which I slept and overslept until 10 am.

Lazy day today - what a difference from yesterday when we had a super walk on the coast path in the sun with our lovely neighbour - it was busy - we had to keep dodging little ones on bicycles as the path is shared with walkers and cyclists and familites were out in force yesterday.

Cooking gammon in cider today for our Sunday dinner, with mash, leeks in cheese sauce, broccoli and green beans - comfort food for this horrid weather! Then methinks an hour or so of rubbish telly!

@ColinUK I adore the Caftans <3 , very majestic, you really need to accessorise them with a crown.... Congrats on the HS.

Make the most of enforced cuddling down in the warm folks!

Morning all. Another in the 4s today; it was a 4.5 earlier this morning. Six months ago, it was always in the 5s to 6s on waking, even when I have supper, It seems to make no difference.

Have a good day people and stay well.

6.8 when I woke, on this very damp and windy day. We had planned on going to a new (to us) church, but that was scuppered when I entered a period of psychosis - horrible episode (still don't know the trigger) climbing out of bed!

The land has largely been raised opposite and the outcome is that we are largely calmer, we have a lot more light coming into the living room now. Second part of clearance is scheduled for next weekend.

Congratulations @ColinUK on your HS.

Just had a "yellow warning for strong wind" pop up on my Alexa thingy. Oops, guess I shouldn't have had those baked beans this morning. 😱

This reminds me of the old Heinz TV ad:-
"A million housewives every day pick up a tin of beans and say 'Beanz Meanz Fartz' " :D

Afternoon all. 8 something this morning. Its cold and windy here, no rain (yet) but a slight dampness in the air.

Congrats on the HS @ColinUK, the kaftans look fab.

Not really sure what I was on waking, just over 6 by the look of the graph.

Yesterday’s visit to Tarpon Springs was great fun - lovely place, bought some sponges, went on a diving boat where the diver got a sponge out of the water to show us. The captain of the boat told us loads about the history of sponge collecting here and how the Greeks came over and built a community here.

Our final full day here as although our flight isn’t until 9pm we have 2 hour drive to get to the airport, plus take the rental car back and my wife wants to stop at one of the Love’s service areas (for some reason she liked them when we were last over here on our holiday in Texas and New Mexico).

Beach day today though as blue skies, sunshine and a forecast high of 25C look like it will be good! Can’t believe we’re leaving tomorrow, it’s gone fast!

Congratulations @ColinUK on your HS!

Take care everyone!

So jealous! There’s nothing I like better than fabada, lentils with chorizo and morcilla, pote...droooool!
"Spoon foods" (comidas de cuchara), such a comfort for weather like this! And to think when I was a child I was disappointed if we had lentils...oh, I'd appreciate them so much more now!
