Group 7-day waking average?

5.7 this morning, had to phone SpaMedica again, had been promised a call back Monday nothing so just called they don't know why I haven't had a call, got the usual we will email the Newark branch and ask them to call you, not holding out any hope, Doctors tomorrow morning to see if he can get something sorted out, my Optician said he has more power to act than he does, so much for urgent its a month now. at least ive got the Sleep Mask which although very early days I have something to hopefully help things.
Just had 2 phone calls one from my Optician who apparently has some knowledge about the Sleep Mask and has said he will re test me and do another oct scan in April 3 months after using the Mask, and he has also been speaking to SpaMedica who have told him they would be able to treat me if our GP was based in Lincoln not Nottinghamshire, anyway SpaMedica have just phoned and said the same, ive sort of lost it over the phone and she is going to see if one of there other branches can treat me. at least my Lovely Optician is going keep a close eye on me pardon the pun.

It's late but it was a 6.7 from me this morning, bit on the high side but still getting used to the Ypsomed pump (or I suppose it's still getting used to me!). It's been brilliant so far, really impressed.

Today I took my daughter to a mass playdate - seven children! Good fun and everyone behaved most of the time. I got to have a tour of the house the hosts are building next door - absolutely stunning but made me very aware of my tiny 2 bed flat and general lack of funds! They have worked hard and absolutely deserve it though.

5.9

Off to the good old dermatologist this morning before meeting a friend for a bit of a hike along the canal out east to the Olympic park and Sadlers Wells East.
It’s their brand new venue and it’s the second Olivier eligible dance production in two days.
First was ok but not really for me.

Morning lovelies!

Libre2+ reckons 5.2 this morning but finger jabber says 6.9 - wehhhh! 🙄

Think I prefer Dexcom One+ so far but will see how I go with this.
T minus 7 days for repeat HbA1c - eeeek!

Have a super lovely daaaay xo

7.1 for me when I woke up at 3.30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Really not feeling right at all this week. Stomach is churning and gurgling, heart is pounding and nose is blocked and throat dry and tight. I feel like I am having a constant panic attack. My amitriptyline helps with the anxiety for a while but when it wears off I am back to feeling like by heart is in my mouth. I am doing regular breathing exercises and meditation to try to gain control but it is just not settling. Obviously I have a cold virus too but the churning stomach and heart pounding and feeling of anxiety and almost constant tension in my neck arms and shoulders is really getting to me and I am having to be pretty heavy handed with my insulin to keep levels in range. I am tempted to increase my Amitriptyline. Maybe I need to drop an econsult to my GP to ask if that is OK.
The current state of the world is not helping and even though I don't watch the news, you can't avoid what is going on in the world and it is scary.

Sorry for burdening you lot with it, but sometimes it helps to write it down to put it in perspective a bit and find a way forward.

Hope you all have a good day.

5.3 today

Morning a 6.2 for me and a bit less flat as had to have 2 biscuits and some Dextrose before bed as dropped low and had a little rise before coming back down.
@Quill given you a Star even though should really be half a Star given split readings.
@Pam123 so sorry to hear of your ongoing eye issues
Wife suggested we have a Chinese last night and it was so nice I did overindulge and took 6u of NR to counter it but thought not enough so went for a walk.I knew it was rising quickly as could not get a reading all during walk so see saw began.
Eventually got a reading and it was 4 but then went back up and then down.
Still ended up 97% TIR for the day so not too bad but just not stable going to bed but food was worth it.
Going to Chester yesterday was nice and such a lovely City and in Cheshire countryside today so another nice local day.
Getting milder and escaped the rain walking the dogs so enjoying cup of Tea now so you all enjoy the day.

Morning all. A nice round 6.

Wet, windy and mild this morning. Urghh! We don’t seem to have had rain for ages, spoilt our plans today, we were going to pop into town but we’ve postponed it until Saturday now. Got to buy a present for Zara who is four next week ( I know what I’m getting her) and Mr Eggy’s camera has been in for repair for two months and it’s ready to collect. He knocked it over on the last day of our Lake District holiday in December, he had it on his tripod and banged into it with his rucksack! He’s been bereft ever since, it’s like his right arm has been chopped off. Luckily it’s insured, he also broke the tripod too. I’m sure he can wait until Saturday, we won’t be doing/going anything/anywhere exciting in the next couple of days that require the taking of any photos. 😉

@rebrascora I think an E-consult is in order, you can’t carry on like that. Hope the GP can help. Hugs. X

Have a great day.

Morning all - another 5.2 for me this morning. I put on a new sensor last night and for the first time I bled - I'm sure lots of you have had that but it was quite surprising as it was oozing out of the little hole in the middle. Luckily when I was on my recent injectable therapy toolkit course one of the participants was being fitted with a Libre for the first time and she bled (she was very squeamish so started crying and didn't feel well) so I knew it was something that could happen. Now I don't know whether to leave this one on (it's a little bit sore) and put one on my other arm which I've never done before as always use my left for some reason, or just stick with this one. I was in the red quite a bit last night but in my sleep kept decided that it was a compression low so didn't take anything - now not so sure as up and about and it's still only 5.5. We went out for a belated Anniversary dinner last night to a lovely restaurant over near Keswick called the Cottage in the Wood. It has a Michelin star and the food (all 9+ courses of it) was absolutely delicious. Tiny portions so really hard to work out how much to bolus. I gave myself 4 units and then another 2 and that seems to have done it. Mark discretely took photos of all the dishes (apart from the scallop as he was so keen to tuck in that he forgot). Very wild and windy up here this morning and I've got to do a changeover of our little cottage here today as got a booking come through at midnight last night. They're not here till tomorrow but the forecast is even worse then. Saturday looks good. I have warned them about the weather but they seemed very keen to still come so I've told them to bring their waterproofs and good shoes (they're coming from London) and slippers to be cosy inside. Have a good day everyone xxx

I would leave it on Jo. It’ll sting a bit but apparently “a bleeder is a good reader”. It’s only happened to me once, I had a white tee shirt on too! It was everywhere! If it doesn’t stop stinging take it off, pointless putting another on the other arm until necessary. I only use my right arm.

Morning all

4.2 after a bad dream and waking up with an anxiety attack, going to see my mum later and then yoga this evening.

@Quill and @zippyjojo - congratulations on todays HS.

@rebrascora - I agree an e-consult is a good idea, they may even prescribe you something else as well, I take Citalopram, but again I still get anxiety attacks, just not as bad as before, sending you hugs as I know how debilitating they are.

5.4 for me on a rather grey and damp Berkshire morning. Shame - yesterday was lovely and sunny and I even spent a couple of hours working in the garden. Was planning to give our fence panels a fresh coat of Cuprinol today but the weather's put a dampener on that, if you'll excuse the pun.

Sky engineer turned up just before 10 yesterday morning and he had us up-and-running with Sky Q within an hour, which included changing our satellite dish. Just got to get used to the different way things look now. Also, we could never connect to ITVX with our old setup but it connects fine now, much to my wife's delight.

@rebrascora I agree an E-consult is a good idea. You're clearly not well.

Congrats on the House Specials @zippyjojo and @Quill

@goodybags - a few weeks ago you were asking about recycling blister packs and I told you Boots took them but I learned yesterday that the reason I could take mine to our local Boots was that they were running it as a trial in London and the South East, and only now are they rolling it out across all their stores nationwide. You should be OK now.

Usual Thursday swim later and I have an appointment for an RSV jab at 5 o'clock. Apparently there's been an uptick in cases and the NHS sent out an alert encouraging those who qualified for the vaccine, but hadn't had it yet, to get it as soon as possible.

Hope the weather doesn't spoil anyone's plans for the day.
