Group 7-day waking average?

9.1 for me this morning despite another increase in Levemir and I have a scratchy throat and bit of a snotty nose this morning so looks like I might be coming down with yet another virus! My sister came down with it on Monday so I am guessing I may have got it from her Sunday and she probably got it on Thurday. It is hazardous visiting people in hospitals.... too many sick people in there! I thought I would be immune having so recently had a bout of it. That will teach me to be smug!🙄

@Grannylorraine I too love the names chosen for your new granddaughter. And your crochet work is fab.

@eggyg Lovely photos of your two newest grandchildren. Pleased the funeral went smoothly and that Bri and his brothers got to let their hair down a bit afterwards. It sounded like they really needed that pressure release.

A 6.1 for me today. 🙂

A good old 6.0 this morning on this the day of my first Olivier eligible dance show, ‘Trash!’. Looking forward to it!

Might go get my eyebrows done but more likely going to put that off a day or two as I’ve a derm appointment tomorrow. I’m going in with the big guns out as I’m going to insist on long term antibiotics for my problematic, and recently flared up again, scalp.

Other than the trip to see Trash I’ve nothing else in the diary at all today. My intention is to gym afterwards but honestly I’ve nothing else to do. Housework is all done. Laundry done. Bills all paid and accounts etc all up to date. I’m possibly going to waft around the place like a grand old hippy in a kaftan or read whilst enveloped in a cloud of orange water and patchouli.

(I’m not. I hate patchouli with a passion. And I don’t possess a kaftan.)

Pleased to see that I've broken my run of 6s with a 5.7 this morning, though I know the difference is neither here nor there - it just looks better.

Just me and the Sky Engineer here this morning (once he's arrived) as my wife and our eldest aren't WFH today and our youngest has a 10-7 shift at Tesco. He's fully recovered from his collarbone fracture and off light duties and tills now, and back to doing what he was employed to do.

Leisure Centre was really busy when I went for my swim yesterday. They've got a newly-built soft play area next to the cafe and with it being half-term it was packed. Thought there must be something going on as the multi-storey car park next door was so full I ended up on the 6th floor. Never had to go that far up before. Luckily the main pool wasn't any busier than usual. Now up to 25 lengths on my way to my target of 30 lengths by Easter.

Once Sky are done I need to do some grocery shopping and might pop over to M&S in nearby Bracknell to see if I can replace a sweatshirt I've ruined, firstly by getting olive oil on it and then by overdoing the Vanish trying to wash it off.

Have a good Wednesday.

Neat washing up liquid poured onto the oil, a bit of rubbing in and a normal wash usually gets oily stains off. Might be worth a try if not now then the future.

Oh Colin. I’m so disappointed in the fact you don’t possess a kaftan á la Margot Leadbetter! I’m with you on patchouli though. :(

Well we can’t have you disappointed!

<runs off to check eBay for fabulous glittery kaftans>

Ditto with you there @ColinUK. The 70's just reeked of the stuff.
I did however have a Moroccan djellaba. 😎

Morning all - it started grey and dull, but it's now a glorious clear blue sky and sun. I don't suppose it's warm, though the forecast says 13º.

7.0 this morning - can't be trusted to have a consistent level these days.

Surprisingly I slept well last night and my poor body is a little less sore today. I think the ice packs helped. Doing nothing today unless I can pull myself together enough to do a Lidl shop.

Back in the 70s and 80s I had tons of caftans. Used to buy them in India and Kenya.... very comfortable they were too! You can get some lovely ones now - how about these? https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100086025115143

Lovely photos of the babies @eggyg. We want some of @Grannylorraine 's new granddaughter.

I'm joining @MeeTooTeeTo with a 6.1. Today is cloudy and, although the MET say it's 7, it feels a tad cooler.

Spoke to my brother earlier, and he reckons it's sub-zero on the east coast.

A day of appointments with a varied array of professionals!

Mrs SS has a variety of Kaftans.

That's a good tip - thanks.

A 4.2 for me earlier this morning.

Good afternoon folks

Twas 9.1 this morning:D much improved from yesterday's 16.9 of which the culprit(s) were those chocolatey things with orange inside, Mmm! 😱 😛 Lesson learned!!

Blue skies and sunshine here and the bulbs I planted in October are peeping through the soil, a good sign that Spring is just around the corner.

Hope ya'all having an enjoyable day. Take care.
