Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning. 4.4! And it’s been that all night. Checked on meter once I was downstairs and FOTF had kicked in, 5.4 Libre and just below on the meter at 5.2. Not sure why I was so low all night, was 6.4 at 10.30 and I had a Babybel and one oatie biscuit. Ah well, not complaining, hopefully it means I don’t need to wait an hour for my breakfast.

Had a lovely quiet, done nothing much day yesterday so need to get cracking today. Bed needs changed, the Shark needs pushed about the house, and I might even give Mr Sheen an outing. Salmon and lime fishcakes for tea, but I don’t have any spuds so will maybe walk down to Aldi if the rain stays away. Incredibly mild at 12 degrees already, got up to 15 yesterday, but we’ve strong winds and rain forecast so I might have to jump in the car instead.

Congratulations @Quill on your HS and those I missed yesterday.

Have a fab Friday.

Morning all. 6.4 here.

Don’t know what my body was up to last night - my overnight graph looks like a sighting of Nessie the Loch Ness Monster...four little arches poking out of the red zone.

Weather’s rubbish but I don’t care because my half term starts today! Did all my admin and filing yesterday, so it’s full steam ahead on lie-ins until half 7 (the puppy starts bouncing off the kitchen walls at 7:28) and lots of dog walks. And hubby’s away, so the house’ll be nice n tidy, hahaha.

Sorry to hear about your pain @PattiEvans - I hope the chiropractor sorts you out asap.

It's another grey and wet morning here, and by the look of things it rained all night. Garden looks very sorry for itself, although there are signs of Spring with our crocuses already out, daffs & tulips through and buds on things like our magnolia and forsythia. Up since just after 7 and got a 5.8 on the meter and 120/72 when I did my weekly BP check, so happy with both those results.

Congrats on todays HS @Quill & yours yesterday @Elenka_HM

Happy Birthday @Grannylorraine - hope you have a lovely day and get spoilt rotten

I notice @Gwynn hasn't been seen for a couple of weeks. Hope everything is OK.

@goodybags - I don't have an Advantage card (my wife does, as she buys most of her cosmetics at Boots) but if there's freebies for being over 60 I might sign up. Thanks for the heads up.

Have a good day, all. Friday is Big Shop day so that'll be Waitrose, Sainsbury's and the Garden Centre for me today.

5.0 this morning after another bad dream, out for lunch with hubby, mum, daughter and 2 granddaughters.

Congratulations to @Quill on your HS and @Elenka_HM for yesterday.

Morning. 5.4

So after the dermatologist appointment yesterday I had an armful of blood taken and walked away with an assortment of oral and topical antibiotics that mean I’m going to have to have half an armful of blood taken every three weeks now. And SPF50 is now mandatory. This will likely be for three months. Or longer. Which is perfect as it’s a month until I’m in the Canaries of course. Still, if it finally gets my folliculitis sorted then I’ll be praising medical science forever more.

The consultant said that in the battery of tests she’s ordered an hba1c. So I’ll be able to update that number soon which is good. Granted it’s due in March/April anyway.

In other news I had my second official dance production visit yesterday which was also my first trip to Saddler’s Wells East. Brand new building with a jaw dropping auditorium. It is functional rather than beautiful but that function gives it a certain aesthetic that appealed to me.

Great sight lines from every one of the, I’d guess, 400 seats. All of them can be moved apparently but I’ve no idea how. Floor is cork. Enough room for folks to get to their seats without everyone else in the row having to stand etc.

And the foyer is huge. Two bars, one that serves food, a little dance floor in the foyer too. It seems to have a possible very basic righting rig so clearly it’s intended as a performance space but not sure how or for what but it’ll be curious to see how the building seems over time. It’s so new that it smells of new building still!

And the dance, Bird Boy, was good. Solo piece about isolation, bullying, anxiety, hopes, fears, drama, escapism. Forty minutes of street inspired choreo with occasional flashes of neo-classical elements thrown in. I enjoyed it.

I read that as tropical antibodies! Ooh, I thought, that sounds interesting! 😉 Shoulda went to Specsavers.:D
You can get 90 and 100 SPF, a friend of mine has just had a melanoma removed from her nose, she goes abroad A LOT, and is a sun worshipper. She’s now using these higher sun creams, she gets them from Amazon. She says the 90 is easier to rub in. I’m thinking of getting some, even for this country, as even though I’m not a sun worshipper I’m out in the sun walking and I’m an Celt with very fair skin.

Morning everyone. A happy 4.9 for me on a very grey and windy morning, at least it’s 14.2c outside and it’s not raining so that’s something.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

I’m thinking it might be time to lean into hat wearing.

Something like this maybe?

7.2 for me this morning. Doc texted me yesterday afternoon saying she had done a prescription for Propranolol which I had once before many years ago and it made me worse instead of better so I didn't take more than one. She was concerned about increasing the Amitriptyline and taking it morning and night making me too drowsy but I am retired and my car is off the road still so apart from crossing the road on foot I am not sure there is too much risk and I know I am way below the max dose so I took the exec decision to increase by 10mg and already feel a bit better. Will be careful crossing the roads. Plus the surgery is shut Thurs afternoon so not able to get new meds until today.
Very stuffed up with this cold though and I have reluctantly increased my morning Levemir as well as evening dose. Hopefully I can get it back down soon.

@Grannylorraine Wishing you a very happy birthday.

@PattiEvans Hope your pain eases soon. Those muscular spasms can be excruciating.

Welcome to the forums @Thesootyshow. Hope you find them helpful and friendly.

8.9 so marginally better than yesterday's. A very blowy day with occasionally a splatter of a shower, but another warm one.

Well done @Quill on the HS.

Happy Birthday @Grannylorraine

Morning all and 6.3 for me.

Got a phone call from the pharmacy yesterday - no Creon :( . They said they could get some from Poland but I'd need to get a new prescription from the surgery with import written on it. So that's where I'm going.

Have a good day everyone.
If you’re stuck I’ve a backlog, I can send some down to deepest darkest Yorkshire. Wished I’d know before Monday, our Keighley lot were up for MIL’s funeral.
Honestly, if you’re in need let me know.

5.2 this morning, related phone call from Spa Medica saying there still trying to get permission to treat me, should have an answer by Monday, still insisting I am not in there catchment, told her my Doctor has re referred me yesterday made not comment on that, it says under review on my NHS app so it goes on

I just had to pop in, I’m sitting here crying…..with laughter! I’ve finally lost the plot! I mentioned a few weeks back about us winning a handfasting ceremony and afternoon tea at the hotel we had our wedding reception at. Today they contacted me to say it was all booked for our actual wedding anniversary. I mentioned we’d like to stay over so we got that booked. I was asked for my email address, I could not for the life of me remember whether it was .com or .co.uk. I had to look on my iPad. Then she asked for a small deposit for the room. I couldn’t find my phone, I keep my cards in there. I wandered around the kitchen, checked in my pockets, I then realised I was on MY PHONE! Oh my Gawd, they’ll be thinking I’m some old dear who’s gone totally batty and will we remember to turn up! I said we’d had a “ strange” few weeks! 😳 Stress does odd things to you that’s for certain.
